A good course with average placement opportunities.
Placements: No companies came at my time for placements in Sociology. Most of the students in my class went for further studies or preparation for different exams. The students went to NGOs, Old age homes and other orphanages for internship which are situated in Ranchi.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my department is good. We have a Wi-Fi enabled class, labs and library. The classrooms are well-maintained, and have a capacity of almost 60 students. Our batch was small though. The hostel and the mess food is average but we have canteens which serve fresh food.
Faculty: The faculty members of my course are well qualified, and were always ready to help us. The course curriculum was also good but one cannot get good job on the basis of course, the students have to go for further studies or preparations in order to get placed well.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to serve my society and do good for the people who are in need. Talking about the events we have an yearly fest "XAVIER UTSAV" which is really a great experience with the college. We have a very good sports facilities in the college both indoor (common room) and outdoor.
