Q:   Is a CUET score of 280 good for admission to B.A. (Hons) Pol Science at Sri Venkateswara College?

A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, Sri Venkateswara College which is located in the south campus of Delhi University has quite a good reputation among students and hence closing ranks or scores of cuet for admission are quite high. For different courses depending on the priority of the students the score very is from say 508 to 754. With each passing year this score is only likely to increase rather than decrease and hence a student with just about 280 as a score in CUET has almost no chances of getting admission in this prestigious college of the Delhi University.

Best wishes to you.

College is excellent in everything.
Placements: In Sri Venkateswara College, placements are average and it is measured by the course. Other courses have more opportunities to take placement like in the science field but the competition level is too high so a maximum of 2 or 3 students get selected in one batch.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available for students like Wi-Fi. For sports, our college has its own ground. It has 4 cricket practice nets, basketball, table tennis and many other games grounds. Hostels are good, and the food quality is good. The college has a library with many collections of books.
Faculty: Faculty members are very talented. They have more knowledge. They help in every situation and try their best for students understanding. The semester exam level is not too hard but the level is above medium, so every student gets good marks.
Other: When I took my CUET exam and got marks it was not for the North campus but the South campus, which is too good. I chose this course because I want to go into civil services. Many fests and celebrations happen in college. A scholarship scheme is available under BPL for students who are not able to pay fees and whose parents' yearly salary is less than 3 lakhs.

A memorable journey that has just begun.
Placements: The placement was amazing in our college, and they bring great companies to our college, which is very good for students. The highest package is 10 lakhs in the last year, and the average package is 4 lakhs. The top recruiters are Zomato, Internshala, etc. Around 30% of students were placed last year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very cool and gives very aesthetic vibes. There are gardens and floral beauty in college. The department is very diverse, like there are different blocks for different courses. The canteen food is very outstanding, and yesterday I tried dosa in my college canteen, which was very tasty and yummy. The prices of canteen food are very affordable.
Faculty: The teachers in the college are very helpful and well-qualified with good knowledge. The course curriculum is very necessary for different subjects; we learn a lot of things. The semester exams are very easy, and they happen twice a year, and the passing percentage is around 33%.

Academic Excellence and Beyond: Exploring Venky College.
Placements: I haven't heard much about placements since we are in our freshman year but, according to the graduates who have already passed out, introduced to us by the professors, Chemistry has a wide range of applicability and can work in any field. From my observations, recruitment from companies is on a very small scale. Coming to internships, almost 80% of my batch participated in the internship fair out of which almost got a letter of word from different companies. But due to long hours of work and unfavorable timings, most of them drop the internship offers. As I have mentioned, Chemistry has a wide range of applicability and a student can opt to pursue a Ph.D. or MBA. The advantage of pursuing an MBA is that a person learns to manage business with the companies and also pursues his/her Science interest. If a student is more clear on pure Science, it is recommended to pursue a doctorate degree.
Infrastructure: Most of the books are available in the library for B.Sc. Chemistry though some books are in limited amount. The infrastructure of the Chemistry department is average though it would be much appreciated for the authorities to install ACs in classrooms to tolerate this scorching heat. Sports and games are available if one wants to participate in them.
Faculty: The teaching faculty members are good although lacking at some corners but I personally feel it is up to the students to fill the gaps that their teacher leaves behind. The teachers are highly qualified and they know what they are doing. The semester exams were just average, of course if you study, it's at a pretty average level, nothing like rocket Science questions are asked in freshmen years though the review might change in the succeeding years. The pass percentage is about 90%.
Other: The pure interest in Chemistry brought me out here in this burning city to pursue Bachelor's. I was never good in Chemistry which engraved curiosity corners in my mind. I would say the best thing about this course was the professors that made me change the perspective of teacher-student relationship and my batchmates who had a helpful mindset in every instance.

Review of Venkateshwar college - South CAMPUS.
Placements: The percentage of the students was moderate in the college, and the B.Com (Hons) is preferable to the B.Com as it always gives an upper edge. The companies that came during our time were TCS, McKinsey, and many more. There were very few students who got internships during our time.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average but not so good compared to the North Campus. Along with that, the facilities were good enough. They have knowledge in their fields and domains. The canteen was good enough for all the students, and rates were also cheaper compared to other colleges or universities.
Faculty: The faculty were helpful when the students were most in need. They had well-qualified knowledge in the field they are in, and they are also decent enough. The teaching quality overall was good enough. The course curriculum is ready to make the students for the industry.
Other: I would recommend others to join this college.

Your introduction to Venky 101.
Placements: While not personally engaging in placement, I have seen that the college provides the highest placement in Delhi University after SRCC. The highest placement that a B.Com honors student got was 31 lacs LPA, which is quite high, and the college, in general, provides good placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is solid, with a rating of 10. There are functional auditoriums, although administrative constraints affect some aspects. Overall, the infrastructure is quite solid, having both old and new blocks. However, the bathrooms could be better in general.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent, very experienced, amiable, and downright helpful and resourceful. The problem itself is that the new subjects under the NEP policy do not have dedicated teachers for them, and pre-existing faculty only teach them. It would be better if new teachers were hired for these subjects.

Venky is the topmost college from South Campus and better than some colleges in North Campus too.
Placements: For science courses, placements are not available. Opportunities exist mainly for commerce students, so as science students, we are not provided with work opportunities after graduation; instead, we must pursue post-graduation or other options based on our interests.
Infrastructure: The labs do not have up-to-date equipment; they are very old and do not function properly. The classrooms are quite small with poor ventilation. However, the library is good and large, containing all the prescribed books in their latest editions. The canteen is overpriced, and the food is not satisfactory.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and teach us well, using real-time examples. They also provide career guidance. The curriculum is good, as it covers most of the entrance exam syllabus, and practicals are held regularly. The mid-sem exams are a bit tough, but the semester-end exams are easier.
Other: The college infrastructure is decent, with a well-maintained sports ground, although the sports equipment is old and limited in quantity. The crowd is decent, and the environment feels safe. Multiple fests are organized by various societies apart from Nexus, which are equally enjoyable.
