I am satisfied with my studies and well-confident of a good life ahead.
Placements: Sri Venkateswara College (SVC) in New Delhi, India has a good placements record. Many students get placed in top companies. The college placement cell is considered helpful and well-structured. The highest salary package offered in 2022 was 21.50 LPA. The average salary package offered to students ranges from 4-8 LPA. Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, DE Shaw, Accenture, Bajaj Capital, Teach for India, Cry, and Decathlon are some of the main companies that visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure is good but the main problem with it is with the hostel facility. Only a few seats are available there, i.e., only 1 or 2 seats for each course. Many students outside of Delhi mostly those who are familiar with the circumstances find it difficult to accommodate.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified in our course. They are very helpful to students. They support as well as encourage students to reduce their deficiencies. Students can get along well with them and like the way of their teaching method. Semester-wise exams are easy to clear and students can get good marks also.
Other: The crowd of the campus is so much. Students will enjoy the company of other students not only of your batch but of other courses and seniors as well. We can spend our time in the canteen, rock garden, playground or library.

    College is excellent in everything.
Placements: In Sri Venkateswara College, placements are average, and it is measured by the course. Other courses have more opportunities to get placements in the science field, but the competition level is too high, so a maximum of 2 or 3 students get selected in one batch.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available for students like Wi-Fi. For sports, our college has its own ground. It has 4 cricket practice nets, basketball, table tennis and many other games grounds. Hostels are good, and the food quality is good. The college has a library with many collections of books.
Faculty: Faculty members are very talented. They have more knowledge. They help in every situation and try their best for students understanding. The semester exam level is not too hard but the level is above medium, so every student gets good marks.
Other: When I took my CUET exam and got marks it was not for the North campus but the South campus, which is too good. I chose this course because I want to go into civil services. Many fests and celebrations happen in college. A scholarship scheme is available under BPL for students who are not able to pay fees and whose parents' yearly salary is less than 3 lakhs.

    The Faculty is Quite Professional
Placements: Placements are average, though placement and internship fairs are organized on annual and biannual terms with a well-structured recruitment process. Students usually further opt for higher studies in the country and abroad and get good scholarships. Moderate to good packages are offered with good companies coming in.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is quite well maintained, and all facilities are readily available. Labs and library are well-equipped, the sports room is well maintained, and medical facilities are good with qualified doctors. Overall, the campus and crowd are exceptionally well.
Faculty: The faculty is quite professional and among the top faculty members of Delhi University. They complete the curriculum well on time and are people we can rely on for any sort of guidance and career advice. The alumni of the college are well-settled in their lives, with prominent figures such as Rishab Pant in extracurriculars, IAS officers like Kartik Panigrahi, and historians like Bipul Dutta.

    Your introduction to Venky 101.
Placements: While not personally engaging in placement, I have seen that the college provides the highest placement in Delhi University after SRCC. The highest placement that a B.Com honors student got was 31 lacs LPA, which is quite high, and the college, in general, provides good placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is solid, with a rating of 10. There are functional auditoriums, although administrative constraints affect some aspects. Overall, the infrastructure is quite solid, having both old and new blocks. However, the bathrooms could be better in general.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent, very experienced, amiable, and downright helpful and resourceful. The problem itself is that the new subjects under the NEP policy do not have dedicated teachers for them, and pre-existing faculty only teach them. It would be better if new teachers were hired for these subjects.

Life at SVC: a sweet ride.
Placements: There were a good number of students in commerce courses at the end of the third year. An average package of 6 LPA was common, while the highest stretches to 15+ LPA bagged by a few candidates. Companies like Deloitte were observed to take people across courses, maintaining that they had offered internships previously. In my course, most people opted for further studies instead of campus placements, and some opted for working for publishing houses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty decent. The classrooms are clean and ventilated, some have air conditioning, and most have projectors. The labs are well maintained, wi-fi is available consistently throughout the campus, there is an ATM, and there are two options for food: the canteen (which serves decent and hygienic food) and Maggi Point for snacks. The library is a bit cramped, but it has a good number of books for reference. There is a medical room, a beautiful green garden, and huge grounds. The hostel is decent, provides meals, basic furnishing, and has the advantage of proximity to a college, but it admits very few students based on academics.
Faculty: Faculty and academics, as a humanities student, are undoubtedly the best parts of SVC. The professors are well accomplished and experienced, and they are always up for academic discussions even outside of class timings. In the classroom, there's a non-judgmental atmosphere where everyone can speak their minds. The professors are lenient with assignments too, provided one doesn't exceed the deadline. The curriculum is refreshed every few years, so it stays relevant. Semester exams are checked leniently; however, one should take internals seriously and maintain a minimum CGPA of 5.
Other: The best thing about English honors from DU is that you really learn how to understand and analyze text to near perfection. This is a useful skill in the dying age of media literacy and can benefit one's career. Besides that, the experience at SVC—the college life—is something that stays with you for the rest of your days.

    Satisfied with the college's ranking.
Placements: Top roles offered are Financial research associate, decision analytics associate, research analyst, Audit assistant, actuary analyst, corporate intelligence associate, etc. Top recruiting companies are KPMG, DE Shaw & Co, EY, PwC, Deloitte, United Airlines, etc. Internships: 35 offers out of 111 in arts.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped classrooms, a Wi-Fi-enabled campus and labs are there. There is a big and peaceful library with web-opac, CCTV and access to departmental libraries. Sports facilities are Basketball court, cricket ground, football ground, tennis court, badminton court, volleyball court, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable in their field. Semester exams are easy to moderate, set by the University of Delhi at the central level. The course curriculum is set by the university at the central level and applies to all colleges with the same papers.

Some fields can be rectified later while filling CSAS (UG) form. These fields will be non-editable. Candidates must ensure that their email address and mobile number registered in their CUET application form are their own, as OTP will be sent by UoD through e- mail on the registered email id and/ or mobile number while registration.

    A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, frankly speaking there are 20 of colleges with the name Venkateswara across India and majority of them have been started by Tirupati devasthanam. However I will restrict myself to the college which is located in the South campus of the Delhi University. This college was established in 1961 and has come a long way since then. It boasts of very knowledgeable and experienced faculty with the majority of them having done doctoral studies in various disciplines of political science. To name a few of them, Dr Namita Pande, Dr Arun Singh, Mr Haokam Vaiphei, Mr Ashish Kumar, Dr Durgesh Kumar, Dr YL Reddy, Dr Ravuru Narasaiah, Dr Latika and Mrs Preeti Singh. Really experienced lot dedicated to teaching and as a result of which the college got its name and recognition in the ni r f ranking.

    Best wishes to you.

Q:   Is a CUET score of 280 good for admission to B.A. (Hons) Pol Science at Sri Venkateswara College?

    A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, Sri Venkateswara College which is located in the south campus of Delhi University has quite a good reputation among students and hence closing ranks or scores of cuet for admission are quite high. For different courses depending on the priority of the students the score very is from say 508 to 754. With each passing year this score is only likely to increase rather than decrease and hence a student with just about 280 as a score in CUET has almost no chances of getting admission in this prestigious college of the Delhi University.

    Best wishes to you.
