    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BE/B.Tech Courses at SVCE

Based on student reviews, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell for BE/B.Tech courses at SVCE:

    * Placement Statistics: According to a student, "almost 75% of students got an internship" while another mentioned that "about 60% of students got placed through pool campus".
    * Company Visits: Some students reported that MNCs visit the college for placements, although the frequency and variety of company visits seem limited.
    * Internship Opportunities: While some students received internships, others felt that there weren't many opportunities available.
    * Limited On-Campus Placements: A student noted that "only consulting companies visit our college to hire CSE students", implying that on-campus placements might be restricted to certain sectors or departments.
    * Core Technical Companies' Limited Presence: Another student stated that "core technical companies do not visit this college for placements", suggesting that placements in these areas might be scarce.
    * Need for Improvement: Multiple students expressed dissatisfaction with the placement cell, citing issues such as lack of transparency, inadequate preparation, and insufficient career guidance.

Overall, while some students did receive placements or internships, the effectiveness of the placement cell seems to vary depending on factors like course specialisation and sector preferences.

Review of Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in this course. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, TCS, and Wipro. About 75% of students got internships from this course. Software engineer roles are offered.
Infrastructure: In respective departments, Wi-Fi is accessible to every student. Labs and classrooms are fully equipped. Library has a wide range of course-related books. In college hostels, rooms for six are available, and quality of food in the mess and canteen is good. College is fully provided with medical facilities. College also gives priority to sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, well-qualified, and very knowledgeable. Course curriculum is not very relevant, and a student needs to gain skills to be industry-ready. Academic syllabus is only limited to exams. But, an interested student can gain knowledge through the curriculum. Difficulty of semester exams is moderate, and pass percentage is 80%.
Other: I have a keen interest in this course. Best thing about this course is its comprehensive curriculum, which offers both theoretical and practical knowledge. Many events are conducted in this college, and we can participate in various extracurricular activities.

Faculty is available all the time and placements are provided.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Infosys and Wipro are top recruiting companies. There are no roles offered in our college. I don't know about courses at our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and labs are very cool because of the very strong air conditioning facility. There is a library. Our classrooms are very nice. Bathrooms are not attached. The quality food is provided, and it is like a restaurant. A canteen and medical facilities are available in our college. There is no mirror in the washroom in the CSE course.
Faculty: All teachers are nice. They have less knowledge but. Our Java professor is highly knowledgeable. Students must contact our Java professor to prepare Java. His name is Rajashekar. Students can meet him immediately to learn Java. Exams are very easy for students who study the entire year, not for one day. The pass percentage is above 60%.
Other: M.A. DDA and our parents chose the ethics course because if they had not chosen this course, we would have had to enter engineering to produce more engineers. All functions and events are held in our college.

Review of Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering.
Placements: The placements in our college is very good. It is almost confirmed that everyone will get a placement. Even if it is the lowest package of 4 LPA, he or she'll get it without any doubt. So you don't have much headache about the placements here, as you can just focus on your academics.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are pretty decent. The hostel infrastructure is amazing. The hostels are cleaner and look classier than the college itself. That's good about the hostel, especially the men's hostel. But the only disadvantage is that there is no food and the fee without food is very high.
Faculty: The teachers look like school teachers. They behave like school teachers. They don't look qualified and knowledgeable. The one good thing is that the faculty members are very friendly and helpful. But some of them are very rude to us just because of any silly argument done in the class .

College is good with many facilities but according to me the campus is small.
Placements: Students placed this year were average, but they got placed with good packages. The highest package placed was 20 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. The average package was placed at at around 6–9 LPA. This year, the company recruited Nokia for some HR roles. Almost all students can join internship programs.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good at this college. There are Wi-Fi connections at every block with good internet connectivity. There are labs for each main subject with good equipment. The library and classrooms are good and clean. The quality of the hostel and the food available are average, but the facilities for medicine and sports are good.
Faculty: There are qualified teachers, and they are knowledgeable as well as helpful with clearing doubts. The quality of teaching and preparing for semester exams is good. Yes, the curriculum is relevant to the course. Semester exams are difficult, but as it is, VTU board college scoring marks are easy. Passing percentage of each class is above 80%. .
Other: I chose this course to be a data analyst, which feels interesting to me. I don't think there is anything to improve in this course, as this is a new course that started 2 years ago. Events and festivals are good where the students connectivity is good with activities and fun.

Really good memories, campus life, and friends.
Placements: The placement scenario in our college is quite decent. 80% students have been placed during the campus interview. The highest package is 30 Lacs per annum, with an average package of 6 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are Nokia Deloitte, Cisco, and Infosys coming around for the recruitment. At most 70% of students can get an internship based on their skills and knowledge. The college provides B.E., ISE, CSE, ECE, CIVIL, MECHANICAL, MBA, MCA, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty small in comparison between other colleges, and the facilities are also decent. Classrooms, libraries, and all are also good. You can join, but you have to study on your own. The hostel is also quite decent, and the hostel fees didn't include the mess food.
Faculty: The teachers of SVCE are also good, but some are also bad at teaching. After all, you have to study on your own. The course is relevant and sticks to the ground level of engineering as it follows the VTU syllabus. There are basically 2 internal and 1 VTU external exam every semester.
Other: I had interest in studying the computer and the software knowledge. That's why I chose ISE as my branch, which deals with all the computer and the software knowledge. I wish some of the curriculum of the VTU should be changed. There are many festivals and events organized by SVCE throughout the year, like cultural events. The main event is KALAVAIBHAVA, which is an intercollege event organized by the management of SVCE Bangalore.
