* Decent placement rates, with around 80-90% of students from Computer Science and Information Technology (CSE/IT) branches getting placed.
* Average salary packages range from 4-6 LPA, with top companies visiting the campus.
* Opportunities for internships, although some students felt they needed to improve.
* A sense of community among students, with various clubs and societies actively promoting extracurricular activities.

Cons:

* Limited availability of seats in hostels, leading to competition among students.
* Slow Wi-Fi speeds in hostels, particularly during peak usage hours.

My Time at UIET Hoshiarpur: Memories, Lessons, and Growth.
Placements: About more than 80% of students are placed every year from our college, with the highest on-campus placement of 24 LPA and Lacs per annum off-campus placement. The average package from our college is 6 LPA. A lot of companies like Infosys, Google, Mahindra, Ambuja Cement, ITC, and Wipro recruit students. Students also get a chance to intern at DRDO.
Infrastructure: The classrooms have well infrastructure with blackboards, smaller and larger benches. The library is well-maintained and required books are always available. However, the library remains open from 9 am to 5 pm and is closed on weekends. For study purposes, the Wi-Fi offers good speed and reach. Apart from this, the labs are well-maintained. The hostel has good infrastructure and a pleasant environment. The food in the mess is good, with a variety of options available, maintaining full hygiene. There is no need to worry about workout diets. Ragging is strictly prohibited, and the hostel offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere.
Faculty: Well, teachers are good at teaching and clearing doubts properly. Teachers are highly qualified and have a proper knowledge of the course they are teaching. Maximum teachers have done a Ph.D. in the respective subjects. From my point of view, the curriculum is relevant and makes the students ready for the industry. Workshops are properly provided. And for the semester exams, they are either difficult or too easy. Overall, the college has a good faculty.

College have good infrastructure and good placements in 2023.
Placements: Placements in our college are good. There is a dedicated cell for placements named Training and Placement Cell, UIET, Hoshiarpur, which helps students get placed. Last year, almost 70%-80% of students are placed at good companies. Many companies like Infosys, ChicMic, HCL Tech, and TCS are mass recruiters of college.
Infrastructure: Hostel is quite good, but there is a waiting list for new rooms, which is a big problem for new students. Due to this waiting, all students have to take PG outside college, which is more expensive than college hostel. Other infrastructure is good. There is a dedicated ground for football, volleyball, badminton, basketball, and cricket. But, coaches are not provided by college, which is required.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good, and almost every teacher is PhD holders, which gives more confidence to students. Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. Examination system of college is also good, as all facilities are provided during exam time. Around 40% is pass percentage for this college. Exams are not too difficult.
Other: Multiple fests are organised to increase extracurricular activities. All national scholarship schemes are available. Campus is not too crowded and has enough space to manage all things. Technical events are organised by different technical societies of college.

UIET hoshiarpur college review
Placements: Total 75% students were placed every year. The highest package was going to 12 lakh per annum and lowest is 4 lakh per annum. The average package was 6 LPA .The top recruiting companies are Zomato, TCS, Cisco etc. Many students got internship form this college. The top role offer in this course is engineering.
Infrastructure: The classroom of our college is good and wifi is also available everywhere but the campus is small and beautiful. All labs are available here. The quality of hostel is not so good. There are 100 seats in boys hostel and 200 seats in girls hostel and the mess food is below average as compared to other collages and there medical facilities available.
Faculty: Teacher is very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is decent as well as their behaviour towards students is also good This course curriculum is not relevant for industry. The semester exams are not much difficult as compared to other government colleges. The pass percentage is about 30%.
Other: I was allotted this course in JAC Chandigarh counselling, that is why I choose it. This course is not industry relevant. Many improvement is needed in this course. Every event and fest is celebrated here. Campus is not so crowded here.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are average but sufficient. The quality of the food is good in the mess. Medical facilities are free of cost. Every year, a sports meet is held in which different games are played. The environment of the college is peaceful. Events are organised.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their subjects. The course is relevant to industry standards. The difficult level of semester exams is average. The pass percentage is 40%. Students have a sufficient amount of time to learn new skills and develop their overall performance.

Overall it is a good college for students who can't afford high fees and who are determined.
Placements: Placements are average. Around 70-80% of students got placed in the IT branch. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Infosys, Penthra Technologies, and Wipro. Many students got internships from our course in companies like Cisco and Infosys.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is decent. We have Wi-Fi, 3 IT labs, and one library in our department, which is good. The girls' hostel is good. We have a different mess for girls and boys. The food is good. There are two canteens. Our college provides sports and games facilities like indoor and outdoor games, a playground for badminton, volleyball, and cricket.
Faculty: Many teachers are helpful and supportive. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable but some are not good. Some teachers are like coming and passing time not even teaching and providing huge assignments, but apart from this, students find genuine true teachers here. The course curriculum is relevant. We have programming and networking subjects and 2 subjects related to electronics, like digital electronics and microprocessors. We have electives subjects like professional communication and economics. Semester exams are quite tough, but it is not tough to pass. The overall passing mark is 40. We have to get a minimum of 10 out of 50 marks in external.
Other: Things I wish would be better are connectivity, more tech events, and in surroundings we don't have much to explore. It is a village area, but it is peaceful.

The infrastructure, faculty, and placements are average, but the environment is good.
Placements: Companies visited on campus in 2024 are Infosys, Quark, Chic Mic, Growth Native, Pie Infotech, Xenon Sack, Cognizant, etc. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA - 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered is around 7 LPA - 9 LPA or 9 LPA - 11 LPA. In recent years, mechanical students have received a salary package of 7 LPA. One student from CSE got placed off-campus with a salary package of 25 LPA from Cisco. There are around 60 offers, and 50 students have placed till now. Our college provides average placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available but the speed and range are not good. The library is available but only at college times. Classrooms are not air-conditioned. There are no smartboards or projectors in classrooms. There are only blackboards. There is a small campus which is spread over 10 acres of land for engineering and law students. The girls' hostel is big enough to accommodate all girls, but the boys' hostel is small only for toppers, others have to rent a PG outside the college. The mess food is good and cheap. There is one medical centre also. There is no sports culture. There is only one sports meet per year.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful but some are knowledgeable, and some are not. The syllabus and exams are according to the Panjab University curriculum, which is good. It is easy to pass semester exams. If students have a good attitude towards teachers and if they are disciplined, then it is easy to pass. Otherwise, some students have arrears also.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in engineering since childhood, but now it is fading slowly on this campus. There have been no engineering workshops, events, or fests in my entire years at this college. Only a few extracurricular activities are held.
