College have good infrastructure and good placements in 2023.
Placements: Placements in our college are good. There is a dedicated cell for placements named Training and Placement Cell, UIET, Hoshiarpur, which helps students get placed. Last year, almost 70%-80% of students are placed at good companies. Many companies like Infosys, ChicMic, HCL Tech, and TCS are mass recruiters of college.
Infrastructure: Hostel is quite good, but there is a waiting list for new rooms, which is a big problem for new students. Due to this waiting, all students have to take PG outside college, which is more expensive than college hostel. Other infrastructure is good. There is a dedicated ground for football, volleyball, badminton, basketball, and cricket. But, coaches are not provided by college, which is required.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good, and almost every teacher is PhD holders, which gives more confidence to students. Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. Examination system of college is also good, as all facilities are provided during exam time. Around 40% is pass percentage for this college. Exams are not too difficult.
Other: Multiple fests are organised to increase extracurricular activities. All national scholarship schemes are available. Campus is not too crowded and has enough space to manage all things. Technical events are organised by different technical societies of college.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the placements and location.
Placements: Very few students get on-campus placements, and the average salary is only 3.5 to 4 LPA, which is offered to only a handful of students. I don't know why companies don't visit this college, because the students are very skilled.
Infrastructure: The campus has a Wi-Fi connection that we can access with our student login credentials. The labs are outdated, so everyone uses their own laptops. The library is pretty good, and you can check out books. This college doesn't have much to do with sports. There is an intracollege sports meet, but it's organized with the help of sponsors that students have to find. There are no certificates, and you can forget about inter-college sports or anything like that.
Faculty: The same teacher was assigned to teach multiple subjects in different semesters. Although most students passed, even if they failed sometimes. All exam papers are checked on campus, which can be an advantage or disadvantage, depending on the circumstances.
Other: I got a rank of 75K in JEE, so I did some research and found this college. The best thing about my course is that attendance is not an issue, except for one or two strict teachers. The worst part is the college's location, which is kind of boring.

My Time at UIET Hoshiarpur: Memories, Lessons, and Growth.
Placements: About more than 80% of students are placed every year from our college, with the highest on-campus placement of 24 LPA and Lacs per annum off-campus placement. The average package from our college is 6 LPA. A lot of companies like Infosys, Google, Mahindra, Ambuja Cement, ITC, and Wipro recruit students. Students also get a chance to intern at DRDO.
Infrastructure: The classrooms have well infrastructure with blackboards, smaller and larger benches. The library is well-maintained and required books are always available. However, the library remains open from 9 am to 5 pm and is closed on weekends. For study purposes, the Wi-Fi offers good speed and reach. Apart from this, the labs are well-maintained. The hostel has good infrastructure and a pleasant environment. The food in the mess is good, with a variety of options available, maintaining full hygiene. There is no need to worry about workout diets. Ragging is strictly prohibited, and the hostel offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere.
Faculty: Well, teachers are good at teaching and clearing doubts properly. Teachers are highly qualified and have a proper knowledge of the course they are teaching. Maximum teachers have done a Ph.D. in the respective subjects. From my point of view, the curriculum is relevant and makes the students ready for the industry. Workshops are properly provided. And for the semester exams, they are either difficult or too easy. Overall, the college has a good faculty.

One of the best return of investment college in india.
Placements: 85% of students were placed this year. The highest package was 18, and the average package offered was 6.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Zomato, Scincillation, Zscalar, and many more. The top roles offered were web development, Android development, frontend, and many more.
Infrastructure: AC in all the labs. Fully Wi-Fi-accessible campus and hostel. Good hostel rooms and college infrastructure. The quality of the food is awesome. Overall, the combination of AC labs, comprehensive Wi-Fi access, infrastructure, and excellent food make this campus an ideal place for students to thrive academically and personally.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is almost the same as at other colleges. Semester exams are very easy. The teaching faculty at the campus is very helpful and knowledgeable, always ready to assist students with their academic and personal growth.
Other: The campus surrounding it is very peaceful, green, and surrounded by nature.
There are few students, so there is not a big crowd. Events are held on monthly basis.

Placements: I was in the 2020-24 batch of our college and as with any other college in our college, the placements took place at the end of the 7th semester. There was a specific Training and Placement cell in our college who was responsible for all the training and placement-related work of our college. This TPC group calls various companies in our college for placement purposes. The top recruiting companies of our college were companies like Infosys, Innow8, International Tractor limited and many more. The top roles that were offered in my course were software engineer, data analyst, web develops and many more such roles. The highest package offered in our college was 15 LPA, and the lowest can be around 3 to 4 LPA. In my batch during the placements time there was a recession going over the whole world, which effected our college also because of which only 50% students were placed on campus.
Infrastructure: In my college, which is Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Center, there are two departments. One is UIET, which contains courses like Bachelors of Engineering in CSE, IT, ECE and Mechanical. There was also a Masters in Computer Science. The second department is UILS, which contains law-related courses. There are properly furnished labs for all these courses; wi-fi facilities are also available all over the campus; and classrooms are big enough and ventilated. The library of my department is also good; there is a separate floor for book readers and for study purposes. There is also one girls college and one boys hostel, both of which are government hostels; besides that, there is also a private boys hostel on campus. All the hostels are good and well maintained, and the food is also good and healthy. There is also a medical dispensary on the college campus, which is a government dispensary. An ambulance facility is also available in case of emergencies.
Faculty: In our college and especially in my department of Bachelors in Engineering, the whole degree is of 4 years and it follows the semester system; there are 8 semesters, which makes one semester of 6 months. At the end of every even semester, students are required to get one month of industrial training and in the 8th semester, students are given two choices: either they go for 6-month industrial training or get a placements and the second option is to attend classes and give exams. In each semester there are two midterm exams; among these two midterm exams the marks from the best of two exams are chosen to be added to the final result. At the end of every semester there is an end-of-semester examination and marks from the midterm and final exam and other practicals combined make up the final result of a semester. The exams are hard enough, as they should be. The teaching staff of our college is also well educated and professional; there are professors and assistant professors for different subjects; some of them are also Ph.D. holders.
Other: I chose my course, which is BE in Computer Science and Engineering, because of the better opportunities in this field and my general interest in the field of information technology. The best thing about my course was that, due to increasing technological advancements in today's world, this course can prove out to be leading field in job opportunities. The thing that I would like to improve in my course is more placements opportunities. Our Campus was situated away from the city crowd in a peaceful natural environment with pure air all over the campus. Multiple Extracurricular activities happen all over the campus; there were different clubs and groups for people interested in Music, Acting, Debates, Open Mics, etc. Besides this, freshmen and farewells for different batches happen from time to time. Annual cultural festivals and sports meets also get conducted on the campus. Our college also has multiple scholarship programs for underprivileged students, students who belong to backward classes and also students who are below poverty line.
