On Fees and Eligibility

Q:   Is Swami Shraddhanand College good for B.A.?

A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

Infrastructure: The college has an old and new building, with the new building being well-maintained and equipped with modern facilities. However, the old building requires improvement in terms of maintenance and infrastructure.

Teaching Quality: The teachers are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. They provide guidance and assistance to students throughout the semester.

Course Curriculum: The course curriculum is updated, and the course provides a good balance of theoretical and practical knowledge.

Exams: Semester exams are not extremely difficult, and students who attend classes regularly tend to perform well.

Placements: Unfortunately, placements are not a strong suit for B.A. students. Only a few students get placements, and mostly, students opt for master's degrees or prepare for civil services.

Internships: While internships are not readily available for B.A. students, some students have reported searching for internships on their own and receiving approval from the college.

Campus Life: The college has a decent infrastructure, including a library, Science labs, and a playground. However, the canteen could be improved.

Overall: Despite some areas for improvement, Swami Shraddhanand College appears to be a decent option for those interested in pursuing a B.A. degree. With diligent effort and regular class attendance, students can expect to perform well academically.

Note: This answer is based solely on the feedback provided by students and alumni, and does not include external sources or ratings.

Q:   Is Swami Shraddhanand College good for B.Sc.?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the provided information, I'd say that Swami Shraddhanand College is a good option for B.Sc., particularly for students interested in Physical Sciences like Chemistry. Here's a breakdown:

Pros:

* Good infrastructure overall, with well-maintained libraries and labs.
* Excellent faculty with Ph.D. qualifications, known for their professionalism, extra classes, and encouragement towards research practices.
* Emphasis on practical learning, with opportunities for projects and research.
* Opportunities for extracurricular activities, sports, and festivals.
* Limited placements may exist due to the university's efforts, although these might not be directly related to your course.

Cons:

* Limited hostel facilities, with students having to opt for private PG accommodations nearby.
* Average placement record, with fewer students getting placed compared to others.
* No direct industry connections for placements.
* While the college has made efforts to organize placement drives and internship programs, these seem limited.
* Infrastructure improvements could be considered, as the college's buildings and classrooms may need renovation.

Overall, while Swami Shraddhanand College doesn't excel in placements, it seems to offer a solid education in Physical Sciences, with engaging faculty and adequate infrastructure. Prospective students should weigh their options carefully, considering factors like personal interests, academic goals, and potential career paths.

Keep in mind that individual experiences may vary, so it's always a good idea to gather more information from current students, faculty members, or recent graduates to get a clearer picture of the college's strengths and weaknesses.

I have an average college experience.
Placements: I am not aware of that particular course of placements. But the placement is done in our college and many students of other courses got recruited in placements. Placements are very helpful for the students.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure in the college are quite good. Library facilities are quite good. The environment in the library is also good for students to study effectively and make assignments. It is very helpful.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Even they clear the doubts of students by taking extra classes. All teachers complete their syllabus on time, but if it is not possible, then they take extra classes. They also solve the problems of students.
Other: The infrastructure should be improved. The canteen meals can be effective improved. Events of the college are held effectively and students also enjoy that environment.

A comprehensive look at Swami Shraddhanand College.
Placements: I'm currently in the 3rd year of college, so the batch I am in hasn't graduated yet. As much I know, one of my batchmates secured an internship in Younity. Top roles that are offered in B.Com course are accountant, auditor, financial analyst, relationship manager, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not so good. Although there is a Wi-Fi facility and different labs, such as a computer lab, physics lab, chemistry lab, etc., the classrooms are wide and long. There is a library with numerous books and journals available. There is no hostel available. The quality of food available in the canteen is average. There are good sports and extracurricular activities available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, inclusive, qualified, and knowledgeable. They provide in-depth information on all topics, whether curricular or non-curricular. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. But there are some extra courses that a student has to take externally. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Pass percentage is 40% of the total marks.
Other: I chose B.Com as I was interested in the field of accounting and finance. The things that can be improved in the course would be the extra subjects that are not relevant to the course should be removed. There are events organized every year. Campus crowd is also good like students are helpful, kind, and generous. There is no major issue with the connectivity but one has to face difficulties at times. There are scholarships available.

College full of dissatisfaction in terms of campus.
Placements: There is no placement programme held by the college for students. Swami Shraddhanand College does not offer any placements to students. There are no companies that come to college for placement or job requirements. This is the area where this college lacks.
Infrastructure: Classrooms at Swami Shraddhanand College do not have any technological equipment like projectors, etc. for smart classes. There are no such hostel facilities provided by the college. The area of the college is not an environment where students can live in PGs and the college does not provide its own hostels.
Faculty: The faculty offered by Swami Shraddhanad College is good. The faculty is very well known and has good conceptual knowledge about their subjects. B.Com. Prog. is a very good course to opt for further studies after 12th; it gives a very good base in the field of commerce.
Other: I want to pursue my career in the field of commerce and B.Com. is the best starting point and base for further development. In Swami Shraddhanad College, there is an annual cultural fest called Oculas and Shraddha Tarang to be held in the month of March, where various events take place.

Faculty members are good but poor infrastructure for B.Com students.
Placements: Only 50-60% of students get placements in the B.Com course. Top recruiting companies in the college include Tata, Philips, Deloitte, KMPG, and Infosys. The highest salary package offered in the B.Com course is 5.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3.2 LPA. Around 50-60% of the students got internships through our college in companies like Tata, Infosys, and Philips. Top roles offered are financial analyst, accountant, investment banker, marketing manager, sales executive, and CA.
Infrastructure: Swami Shraddhanand College has a well-stocked library with a rich collection of about 99,000 books at present and about 4,000 books are added every year. It subscribes to more than 45 national and international journals and periodicals and 24 newspapers which provide the latest information on current events and affairs. It also has separate reading rooms. Labs are available like a chemistry lab, computer lab, physics lab, microbiology lab, and zoology lab. There are no hostel facilities available in this college, but there is a lot of PG accommodation around the college.
Faculty: Assignments and tests are given to students for a better understanding of the course that they have chosen. Our teachers are very helpful and well-qualified with good knowledge in their respective fields. There are highly qualified teachers. But the poor infrastructure is a hindrance for them in good teaching like there are no smart classrooms for the commerce students.

Good infrastructure in the new building, faculty is good.
Placements: In our college, 30 to 35 students are in one class. In our college, there is no placement; if there is, we don't know about it because we can't get it. After 8 percentile, a college student can get the placement, and there are a few companies that approached our college. They are not approaching just because of bad facilities and transport facilities.
Infrastructure: We have old buildings for B.A. and B.Com students. The infrastructure is really bad, with bad-condition washrooms, bad-condition fans, etc. The food quality is not good and not bad; it's just neutral. We have sports facilities only for boys; girls don't play any type of sports.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful for students and give us the best knowledge. Yes, somehow students are industry-ready by studying. Only a few exams are hard; otherwise, they're moderate. The 6th semester gets completed in 3 months. Semester exams are moderate, but assignments, internal exams, and practicals are hard for us. Before the exam, we do those and get disturbed from our studies.
Other: I chose it because I wanted a banking job, and it was a great decision. Some teaching skills can be better. Events and fests are good, but the crowd is local, and they roam freely in our events.

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure, no placement cell, faculty is good
Placements: There were very few students who were placed as there were less companies who came for campus placement. Average package was like around 3 lakh per annum. Roles offered were lower level management for the commerce students, the percentage would be 10%
Infrastructure: No wifi, labs have expired chemicals, classrooms are small and have poor infrastructure, old furniture, no ventilation, the canteen is the worst no hygiene. the washrooms are not maintained properly the admin block has a poor infrastructure as well as i have seen.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, the teaching quality is also good, extra curriculum activities are not that much but sre good and relevant, the semester exam are moderately difficult, pass percentage is 37 %. The college is not industry ready.
Other: I took bcom because my family is from commerce background and so i took commerce stream in 11th grade, teachers are good in our course. Events and fest are nice as the commania society do a wonderful job.
