The SEED 2025 written exams will be held on January 12, 2025.
The exam will be conducted in an online, remote-proctored mode.
The application form for SEED 2025 is currently open from August 14 - December 25, 2024. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may apply for the exam by the last date.
Admit cards for the written exams will be available for download from January 2, 2025 (onward).
The results of the SEED 2025 written exam will be declared on January 17, 2025. The scores of the SEED 2025 will be used to shortlist candidates for a PRPI round. The list of shortlisted candidates will be announced on January 21, 2025.
The Personal Interaction (Phase I) will be held from March 28-30, 2025. The Personal Interaction for Phase II will be conducted from April 11-13, 2025.
The 1st merit list of SEED 2024 will be released on April 21, 2025.

SID doesn't offer any short term / distance courses. The institute presently offers only full time Under- Graduate degree courses.
At the UG level, the institute offers a regular B.Des program, while a hybrid M.Des program is offered at the PG level.
Admission to both courses will be through the SEED

Candidates who are allotted seats will have to pay the seat-acceptance fee within the given deadline. If the payment is not made, the allotment will be cancelled. Further, the vacant seat will be offered to the candidate next in the order of merit.

Yes, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear in a Studio Test. SID will conduct the Strudio Test and Personal Interaction (STPI) from May 9-11, 2025.
Candidates who are included in the STPI shortlist need to participate. Note that the shortlist will be released on May 6, 2025.

The SID admission portal mentions nothing about the validity of the SEED 2025 scorecard.
Nonetheless, it can be presumed that the SEED scorecard will be valid for the current admission session only. So, if you qualify in SEED 2025, you need to apply for admission in the current academic session only.

The official mock tests may generally have fewer questions than are actually asked in the entrance exam. The purpose of the mock questions is simply to give you an idea about the question type.

There is no harm in taking mocks hosted by coaching institutes. However, note that mocks tests by third parties are typically not free and you have to pay a specific fee.
So, make it a point to take the official mocks first, as they are free and also coveres the exam syllabus.

The SEED 2025 exam will be administered in remote-proctored mode.
This means, you are not required to visit any exam center to take the exam. Instead, you can appear in the exam from any place of your chooseing, provided you have a computer system and internet.

NIFT is attempted by some 50,000 candidates every year and is considered the toughest entrance exams in the country, along with NID and UCEED.
In comparision, SEED is less competitive.

The M.Des program has an intake of 20 seats. The Symbiosis Institute of Design hasn't given any category-wise reservation.
This means all seats will be treated as open category.
The allotment of seats to the M.Des program will be as per SEED 2025 merit rank.
