B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning - Batch of 2027

Strong AI & ML Curriculum with Knowledgeable Faculty and Vibrant Campus Life.
Placements: 100% students are placed in my course, and the lowest package is 5 Lacs, while the highest package is 20 Lacs. Many companies visit our college. I don't know the exact percentage of students who got internships, but they got good internships with stipends above 40,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are there in my college and are of premium quality. We have different labs and PCs. We also have smart boards. We have a huge library where students can gain knowledge. In the hostel, we have rooms with electronics appliances, and we have Wi-Fi facilities as well.
Faculty: The faculty at Symbiosis Institute of Technology is highly qualified and knowledgeable. They ensure that the concepts of AI & ML are explained clearly and are always available to help students. The course curriculum is well-structured and aligned with current industry trends, preparing us for real-world applications. The semester exams are moderately difficult, and the pass percentage is reasonable with good preparation.
Other: I chose this course because AI & ML are the future, and I wanted to be at the forefront of this technological revolution. The best part of the course is the hands-on experience with real-world projects. However, I wish there were more internship opportunities to give us exposure to the industry. The college could improve the placement assistance for specialized AI & ML roles.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027

The college is really good and encouraging if we take it that way.
Placements: The college tries its best to place students starting from the third year. There is a six-month internship, which is extending to one year this year for final-year students. It is commendable that they put in their best efforts and place most of the students. The highest salary package here goes up to 50 LPA from Palo Alto.
Infrastructure: A decent one based on the place we are at. The Wi-Fi is also decent, and the cafeteria with the mess is above average. Students get three sharing rooms with a separate shower room and toilets. The labs are well-equipped with the best computers based on the course demand.
Faculty: The semester is pretty good, and if one studies to a decent level, they can score well. The faculty are very helpful and are available for extra hours to clear doubts and answer any inquiries. The course is updated to industry standards with a few courses taught by external faculty members.
Other: The passing out batch was good, with some people being very supportive. The college encourages us to participate in extracurricular activities, either it be club activities or sports.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2025

Very good University for B.Tech.
Placements: Placements for CS-IT are great. Companies like Microsoft, Google and Amazon also come to the campus for hiring. For electronics, the placement is okay and for mech and civil, it is not good at all. So I would suggest you go for CS-IT/E&TC only. A lot of good companies visited for CS/IT and Electronics students. Microsoft hired for Consultant role, Google hired for IT support role and Amazon hired for a non-technical roles (Product Compliance Associate). We had many private product-based firms such as Continuum, Persistent Systems, Book My Show and IBM who hired Software Engineers. We also had a Japanese company hire for a developer’s role. I got placed in Continuum Managed Solutions. The entire process was simple and straightforward. The placements head shared the emails for the company hiring and we shared our consents and resume. The students then underwent the hiring process at the college which differed from company to company. The placements record for CS/IT was good with almost 80% of the students getting placed. The placements record for the other branches was average. The college prepared us for the placements drive through the 3-days workshop.
Infrastructure: The gender ratio is balanced though there are fewer females in Civil and Mechanical branches. Most of the students are friendly and there is no discrimination on the basis of anything. Everyone gets along with each other well. I have not currently opted for a hostel but I did live in the hostel in the 1st and 2nd year of my degree. The hostel life is good. We have triple sharing rooms available for the students. The accommodation for the students is on first come first serve basis. The number of rooms available is less than the number of students. Boys don't get to enjoy hostel life beyond 2nd years due to the shortage of rooms and so the boys from 3rd and 4th year live in rented flats in Sus-Pashan and Baner. New hostel rooms are being built and they may provide more accommodations in the future. We have an annual cultural fest called Reverb and technical fest called Techfest. Each branch holds it owns Techfest events like CS/IT has Techela. Both these festivals go on for 2 days. The fests are enjoyable and provide great opportunities for the students to showcase their talents. We have an annual sports event called Prota, it encourages the sports enthusiasts to participate and sweat it out in the stadium.
Faculty: The faculty members are well educated and they have a good repo with the students. Few of them are really helpful towards the weak students. We get remedial classes too. The sessions are always interactive between the students and the teachers. All the faculty members have PhD and MTech backgrounds having expertise in the field of Research and development. The ratio is actually small and I personally feel it is beneficial due to more individual attention being provided which results in more personalized feedback, increased interaction and potential adaptation to their teaching style. Professors allow the students to contact them via email for academic clarifications. You can even visit them in the staff room for one on one discussion. One of the best thing is that the professors are friendly and easily approachable. You can usually talk to them beyond the class hours and during office meetings to get guidance. There's a core curriculum which is compulsory for 1st and 2nd year students, but from 3rd year onwards, you get specialization and elective courses within your CSE branch. Project based learning is promoted on high scale for developing hands on experience to solve practical problems. I personally feel there should be a stronger partnership with relevant companies to provide internships. I know technical skills are crucial but incorporating soft skills like communication, personality development, and teamwork need to be the areas of improvement. Talking about the frequency of exams, SIT follows the semester pattern strictly, exams are held after every 5 months i.e., twice a year and we get a month’s leave after 2 semesters for internship.

B.Tech. in Robotics and Automation - Batch of 2028

Absolutely satisfied by infrastructure and faculty, placements are being worked on.
Placements: Robotics and Automation is a new course, and hence the placement statistics are not very impressive, but progress is being seen. In the first batch of RA from SIT Pune, 2 out of 60 students have been placed so far (placements are ongoing). The highest package offered is 8.5 LPA. One of the two students placed has gotten into a company based in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is top notch. You'll get all kinds of labs required for the complex study of RA. The faculty teaches decently enough. The college has Wi-Fi access throughout the campus. You can go to labs and practice whatever you want in your free time and ask for help from the faculty. Hostels are difficult to get because of a bad student-to-hostel ratio, but the facilities are really good if you get in. Mess food is very hygienic and tasty. The canteen has a lot of variety. The college campus has a gym, a swimming pool, playgrounds, and various sports courts. Bicycles are also provided for the hilltop campus. Transport service for commuting within the campus is also easily available.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are very knowledgeable and have good experience from prestigious institutes. Not all, though, but overall the teaching experience has been nice. Teachers are serious about academics. Exams are regularly conducted. The course is very much relevant to the industry. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate. The pass percentage is between 80–85%.
Other: I personally chose the college to get good exposure and facilities for the course I'm studying. RA as a course requires good-quality labs and faculty, which SIT promises to offer. The crowd, although a mix of good and bad influences like any other place, definitely includes talented and goal-oriented people.

It is an amazing college at scenic location with great people to interact & good and helpful staff.
Placements: Placements were good at our college, with around 50%-60% of students being placed. Companies from all over India and abroad have tie-ups with the college. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was3 LPA. Companies like Godrej and others selected students. Roles offered were primarily related to engineering.
Infrastructure: Library was well-equipped with plenty of books and research papers to enhance our knowledge. Wi-Fi was provided through our IDs, and there was a time limit to its usage. Classrooms were large and spacious, benches were also big. There is a mess and a canteen that provide food at their respective rates. Hostel accommodation was also offered.
Faculty: Faculty members were highly skilled and talented, with a strong industry background. Hands-on teaching experience that emphasized practical applications. There are two exams in every semester. Course is relevant to industry needs, and the pass percentage is above 90%.
Other: I chose this course because of my family's business in the same field. There were many campus fests and other events held at the college.

Take a glance at SIT University.
Placements: Placement at our college is pretty good, as reputed companies visit our campus and hire students. They generally take our basic written or MCQ tests before interview rounds and generally there are 3-4 interview rounds (depends). More than 85% (approximately) students are placed every year and the other 15% would choose higher education or choose to opt for his/her own startup. The institution perfectly trains 3-4 months prior to the placement season.
Infrastructure: Hostels are very well furnished and it has 3 sharing rooms. In the case of nearby PGs, the rent (which ranges between 6,000 and 10,000 per month) is slightly lower than hostel fees. Every room has big cupboards, a bed, chair, table, dustbin, nightlight, book shelf, shoe stand and all other basic requirements for every student. Every hostel has a high-speed wifi, tv, table-tennis on the ground floor, kettle, iron and few more things. The infrastructure of our college, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, was advanced. All the labs consists of latest machines and computers with high computing processor. The labs were quite good for Artificial Intelligence. Sports facilities were also good. It includes football with turf, Volleyball, Kho Kho, etc. Sports includes volleyball, turf for football and cricket, kho kho, basketball and other games that can be played on hill top ground.
Faculty: Faculty and other staff are really professional and trained. There are almost 15 lecturers for a single semester. Everyone of them holds a master's degree and almost 30–40 of the lecturers hold a PhD in the particular subjects they teach us. They are more than helpful to us and we can approach them anytime we wish to. There's usually a core curriculum that is compulsory for 1st and 2nd year but from 3rd year you get specialization and elective courses within your CSE branch. Project-based learning is promoted on a high scale for developing hands-on experience to solve practical problems. Talking about the frequency of exams, SIT follows the semester pattern strictly; exams are held every 5 months, i.e., twice a year and 1 month leave after 2 semesters of completion for internships.
