Excellent college for job placements.
Placements: The high value of the average salary strength varies from 6 to 7 lakhs rupees. The job offers by various sectors include data analysis, sales and marketing, HR positions, etc. All students avail internships as they are part of mandatory courses. It has a very active placement cell in terms of placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructural facilities in the college are good and satisfactory. This includes all the facilities available with Wi-Fi connection in the college, access to library books and journals, hostels are better nowadays, and the mess food quality is also good. The entire staff members are very respectable when it comes to understanding the issues presented.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are winners of the top-ranked institutes, and a few of them also possess good experience from foreign institutes and have strong hands in the subjects. Moreover, the courses to be covered are well organized by considering every factor so that students will have enough time to develop some industrial aspects as well.

Absolutely satisfied with the placements, internships, college life and the teachers.
Placements: Almost 99% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 12LPA and the lowest salary offered is 3.75 LPA and the average package offered is 6 LPA. Top roles offered to students are in strategy, creative and communication. Citi Bank and RBI are the top recruiters. I personally got an internship from the United Nations. It’s mainly because the college groomed us to face any situation.
Infrastructure: We really have a good campus life even though the college does not have a great infrastructure. Our campus is first established campus in Pune. So besides of it being old and having small classrooms, there is no other mistake in the college, everything is perfect. This college has hostel for both boys and girls with mess and gym facilities. For studying, we have a computer lab and digital classrooms. Guest lectures are conducted in the auditorium. The mess food quality is above average. The medical facility is always available with 1 doctor, 1 nurse and 2 ambulances on standby.
Faculty: The teachers here are quite qualified and hold high degrees of education. They help the students to grow and mentor them in all aspects. The curriculum is quite relevant which is supported by different PPTs, role plays, case students, etc. All this makes the students industry ready. Exams have high weightage to case studies just to make sure that all your case study concepts are cleared.
Other: The college fee is that of 2.6 lacs per year. It one of the top colleges for economics which is my reason of choosing this college.

Q:   Is BSc at Symbiosis School of Economics better than Christ University Bangalore?

A:

Choosing between Symbiosis School of Economics (SSE) and Christ University Bangalore for your BSc in Economics depends on your individual preferences and future aspirations. If you prioritize international exposure and are considering pursuing a Master's programme abroad, SSE might be the better fit. Many consider SSE to be the top choice for BSc Economics, and its Department of Economics is renowned for being well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.

On the other hand, Christ University in Bangalore is highly regarded, with a strong reputation reflected in its 8th position for Arts in the India Today rankings. Some argue that Christ University is an excellent option if you do not plan to pursue a Master's programme abroad. Moreover, the institution is known for having a better return on investment due to comparatively lower fees than SSE.

Considering rankings, Christ University holds a higher position in the NIRF rankings, standing at 47th in 2020, while Symbiosis University is ranked 73rd. However, rankings alone may not capture the full essence of the academic experience, and personal preferences should play a significant role in your decision-making process.

If financial considerations are crucial for you, it's worth noting that some suggest Christ University offers a better return on investment due to its more affordable fees compared to Symbiosis. Both institutions are wheelchair accessible, providing inclusivity and convenience.

In conclusion, your decision should be based on a careful evaluation of your academic and career goals, preferences, and financial considerations. Consider the unique features of each institution, such as the international exposure offered by SSE and the reputed Department of Economics, alongside the potential cost savings at Christ University. Ultimately, the right choice depends on what aligns best with your aspirations and values.
