Q:   Is BBA at SICSR Pune a good choice?

A:
{Source: BBA students & alumni}

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is okay, but the campus is relatively small compared to other Symbiosis colleges. However, it provides basic amenities like Wi-Fi, laboratories, and a well-stocked library.

Teaching Quality: Some students reported that teachers are helpful and qualified, while others mentioned issues with faculty regarding attendance and course balance.

SICSR review- Absolutely satisfied.
Placements: The average package for placements is around 225,000. There has been an 8% increase in student placement from last year, according to Google. Companies like Deloitte, Cognizant, and Infosys are said to come for placements. Internships are provided by the college, or students can find them on their own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not as great as it was shown on the internet. A different campus was shown on the college website. The boys' hostel is a bit far from the college, but the girls' hostel is nearby. There is a tight curfew for hostel timings.
Faculty: The faculty are great and very knowledgeable, keep the class interactive, and are very helpful in solving students' doubts in and after class. The curriculum consists of 40% weight for internals and 60% weight for externals. Only term-end exams are conducted, which consist of 30-mark and 60-mark exams.
Other: I had researched online and come to a conclusion that this is a great college for BCA course.

Students here are from different places, but all are very nice.
Placements: From the 7th semester, students wre eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit, such as Amazon, Cisco, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, and others. For bio-related companies, Biocon and Reddy's Lab also visit. More than 40 companies visit in total. The highest salary package offered is 1.2 crore per annum, and the average salary package offered is 6 LPA - 8 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is 40%. I am planning to start a business.
Infrastructure: Many fests are held every 2-3 months, along with workshops organised now and then. Many sessions on trending topics in the industry are also held every week or two. Library on campus is small, but we can find books on all subjects related to your course there. It is actually good. Classrooms are equipped with good technologies. Some extracurricular activities offered by the college include badminton, box cricket, chess, football, swimming, gym, Zumba, yoga, and more.
Faculty: For every 20 students, one staff member will be present, making the student-to-staff ratio 1:20. Faculty members are approachable and mostly friendly, except expect some. Faculty members are friendly, and students can ask him doubts about anything, they will answer or provide the solution the next day. For each semester, three CIAs will be conducted, and the best of two will be taken for internals.

Good faculty and courses but really bad condition for infrastructure.
Placements: The Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research ensures 100% placement for students. The institute has lived up to its name for years and gives its graduates an average salary of at least 6 lacs. The topmost package offered in SICSR last year was 21 lacs. Many top-tier companies recruit students from SCSR, like Amazon, TCS, Cognizant, etc. Although SICSR claims to give 100% placements, it does not account for students backgrounds.
Infrastructure: SICSR is a single building; it has no infrastructure facilities whatsoever. I'm in BBA (IT) Sem 2. We have a canteen, library, and office, and classes are on 5 floors, which are divided amongst students of SIU and SICSR. The infrastructure stands too low for SICSR.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are very sweet and caring. The professors pay attention to the needs of students. We have visiting faculty members and non-visiting faculty members. I personally like this idea, as we get to learn from the faculty outside of the campus. There are some teachers who tend to get rude sometimes but I haven't faced an issue with mine yet.
Other: I chose this course because it was a perfect blend of IT and business. Our society is growing more towards IT, so this course might help me understand the best of both world's. As for events, we have a single building, so we don't get many events. I wish the infrastructure was a bit better, except that it's all good.

The experience of studying in SICSr.
Placements: Most of the students who take part in placements get them. The average placement for SICSr is Rs 6 lakh. The companies that come include Deloitte, TCS, and Accenture. The highest package was Rs 24 lakh, which a few students received, and the college also helps students get internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There is a vast collection of books available in the college library, and many computer labs are present in the college. There is also a canteen that serves food to the college students, and Wi-Fi is available for all students in the college.
Faculty: The teaching faculty is very smart in their subjects and helps students with their doubts, providing the correct guidance. They also give one-on-one attention to all students in the class. The course curriculum is also up to date with current trends.
Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in this field, and SICSr was the best college for the BCA course in India.

Good placements and great experiences.
Placements: The placements are still ongoing in our college. The highest package as of now in our batch is 22 LPA. We still don't know the lowest, and the average I can say will be 4-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies in our course are currently Accenture, Deloitte, TCS, deltaX, D. E. Shaw, etc. Many roles have been offered; some of them are system associate, HR, digital marketing, BPS roles, etc.
Infrastructure: Every facility is available in the college, and the infrastructure is nice. There is Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, reading room—everything is available, and it is good. The hostel infrastructure is actually great, but the mess food is average. There are medical facilities; a health center has been established near the college, and many sports activities and games also take place every now and then. Overall, it is manageable.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are very helpful; they are more than qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is designed to prepare the students to become industry-ready. The semester exams are difficult but not so difficult that students will fail.
Other: It is one of the top colleges in India. The curriculum, facilities, and location—everything is good. Yes, it could be better, but it's normal; everyone always wants to have better things. Things that can be improved are the campus and the infrastructure.

Absolutely satisfied with the placement and infrastructure of the college.
Placements: In our course, almost 60% of the students get placed. The highest package was 8 lacs, the lowest package was 4 lacs, and the average package was 6 lacs. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Mahindra, Kotak, etc. In our college, almost 80% students get internship in companies like Mahindra with roles like data analytics, etc.
Infrastructure: Overall, there is good infrastructure and a good environment for the students. Our campus classrooms were spacious and well maintained. The library was also fully stocked with books and the computer labs were also equipped with good-quality computers. The hostel mess food quality was good to eat. Sports and medical facilities were also available.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was also good because it made things easier to understand. The course curriculum was relevant and it definitely prepared students for this industry. Semester exams were easy to get pass and the passing percentage was 90%.

As a helpful and respectful assistant, I will provide accurate and informative responses that are free from harmful, unethical, racist, sexist, toxic, dangerous, or illegal content. My answers will be socially unbiased and positive in nature, and if a question doesn't make sense or is not factually coherent, I will politely point out the reasons why I cannot provide an answer. Additionally, I will respond as a third person, avoiding the use of "I" or "me."

Based on the reviews provided, the overall infrastructure of SICSR Pune is mixed. Some reviewers have praised the college's infrastructure, while others have expressed dissatisfaction with certain aspects.

Review 1 mentions that the college does not have its own boys' hostel and instead allots male students to the hostel of the SSE campus, which is approximately 1 to 1.5 km away. The girls' hostel, on the other hand, is beside the college, but the food is not good.

Review 2 highlights the course curriculum as very good and states that the teachers are experienced and knowledgeable. However, the reviewer notes that the campus is not so huge and may require compromises.

Review 3 provides a detailed description of the college's infrastructure. The college has one seven-floor building, with separate washrooms for males and females on each floor. The hostel is available for girls in the building named ELTIS Girls Hostel and the rooms are shared by three students. The mess provides breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner and the food is average to good. The college also has big windows, in-built cupboards and rods for drying clothes. The mess and room cleanliness is well maintained and the campus is easily accessible.

Review 4 describes the classrooms as small, but the main two labs as huge. The campus is a 7-level building with Wi-Fi availability in almost all classrooms, but the internet is restricted and blocks social media websites. The library seems fairly equipped, but the reviewer did not use it. The quality of food in the mess is fair to good. The college does not have a playground, but there are some clubs for which admission is voluntary.

Review 5 expresses that the college has all the required facilities, including good labs and Wi-Fi network and the classrooms are air-conditioned.

In summary, the infrastructure of SICSR Pune is a mix of positive and negative aspects. While some reviewers have praised the college's facilities, others have expressed disappointment with certain aspects such as the lack of a boys' hostel, the quality of food in the mess and the limited size of the classrooms.
