It has good faculty members but bad placements and the worst management.
Placements: Our college has very bad placements. Only 2-3% of the students are placed that too with low salary packages. Companies recruit especially BCA or MCA students. Students with a biology background don't get placement much. The management authority is very poor. They didn't offer us any internships also. If a company comes, they just hire 1 or 2 students. So the placements for students coming from a biology background is bad.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good especially the labs and library. The library is the best thing about this college. It is big and has access to many books. There is no Wi-Fi in the college. The food quality of the hostel and canteen are not the best but good only. They aren't much active in medical facilities or sports and games. The academic part is poor.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. They are highly qualified and much helpful. I am satisfied with their teaching quality. Though the exams are dependent on Bangalore University. In this year, the checking was strict because of which many students got backlogs. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Though the faculty members are good, the management authority of this college and Bangalore University is bad. Specially in this pandemic situation the management gets the worst. Students are lagging than any other universities. Where other universities students completed the M.Sc. before September 2021. Bangalore University postponed their exams again and again till December last. They announced the results recently in February but students still didn't get any results in hard copy.

The college is good, and it deserves the best rating.
Placements: There were placements with a good intake of students in the previous years. Companies from the field of microbiology and biotechnology visited the campus for placements. Biocon is one such company. For starting of career, it's the best place.
Infrastructure: Oxford College of Science department has the best environment regarding the class. It has a good infrastructure with a laboratory and all the other instrumentation like autoclave, laminar air flow, and etc. We have a good teaching staff with a nice environment.
Faculty: The faculty members, who did PhD are knowledgeable. They care about the students. Because of the friendly nature of the faculty with the students learning becomes easy. They maintain a good relationship with the students. There were industrial visits in our journey. The student to faculty ratio is 100:14 in which all the faculty members have a good relationship with 100 students.
Other: Our department makes count with cultural and academics programs, which is called Micromania, and it helps the students to mingle with students. The good faculty programs and science day celebrations are always there on the campus.

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BCA Courses at The Oxford College of Science

Based on the reviews provided by students and alumni, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell for BCA courses at The Oxford College of Science:

* All students get job opportunities: According to one reviewer, "All students in our college get the job opportunity all the time."

However, it is essential to note that the reviewers did not specifically mention anything about the placement cell's efforts or processes. Therefore, we cannot conclude whether the placement cell actively works towards securing jobs for students or if it relies on external factors such as company tie-ups or alumni networks.

In conclusion, while the college seems to have a good track record of providing job opportunities to its students, further information is needed to assess the effectiveness of the placement cell itself.
