A helpful and trustworthy review of UEC by a UECian itself

Placements: Placement happens every year in the months of September-October. Around 70% students get selected among the shortlisted students by the TPO of the college.TCS, Wipro, and Grasim are the major recruiters since the last 2 years offering packages from 2.4 LPA to 4.2 LPA. During the session of 2017, around 60 seniors were placed in TCS in a single campus drive. No core companies recruit from here. Only TCS is the major recruiter.

My college is the best college, good faculty, qualified .and knowledgeble.

Placements: The placements for our senior batch students are satisfactory. TSC and many more companies have visited my college. There are 13 students selected out of the available 30. The previous year, the maximum students got the internship from my college. Every student of my college is tension-free because we get the most important thing in our life, i.e., the knowledge.

The quality of students is really good

Placements: Most of my batch got placed, though the companies weren't good enough. Out of 360 students, 104 got placed in TCS, 30 in Wipro and around 10 in JK Cement. Other than that, only mediocre companies came to the college. Our placements were better than the previous batch. The good thing is my junior batch's placements were much better than ours and now, our college is getting more companies every year. The average CTC of my batch was around 2.5 LPA.

Satisfied with the faculty. Good placements, poor infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The placements are good. Every year students get placed. The placement record is 80%. Students who work hard qualify the written examination and appear for the interviews. The maximum salary package offered to students is near about 8 lakhs per annum and the minimum package offered to students is near about 3 lakhs per annum.

Overall review from the perspective of a student and by its student.

Placements: Average. Placement officer of the college is not active. Even after having quite a good image of the college, they don't take its advantage. Only a few companies (like TCS, JK Cement) visit the campus and offer the general low salary package (eg., companies have been offering just Rs. 3.3 lpa as starting package) and no or very less students get an offer of Rs. 4+ lpa. Even the visit of these companies has to be managed by students itself and the placement officer doesn't do anything. ...

Fairly satisfied as teachers are really good.

Placements: The placements are good for CS and IT, but there are no core company placements in the college. Only Ultratech comes certainly, while TCS and Wipro also come every year. There are no placements in core for chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering students. The highest placement is 3.7 lakhs.

The environment and academics is good, labs contains most of the apparatus that completes your desires to know machines and make you engineer. I personally salutes my college professors for making it a fabulous one. Thank you GECU come here to explore more. In recent years several IT companies placed no. of students and some talent cleared GATE with final year itself that is a clue sign that you too can make it worth.

Mechanical and chemical engineering department of college is among the best department of whole state. Most of the faculties of this department have PhD from IITs. Study CS and we have the best of renowned and dedicated faculty. The whole curriculum is designed to provide flexibility to choose among interdisciplinary subjects. Its huge 550 acres of green campus provides an awesome range of facilities & infrastructure for sports & fitness for a meagre fee, as the institute is government run.

It is an autonomous college. It was eastablished in the year 1966. Overall placement is around 3.5 lakhs. The mechanical brach is very good here. Average placement of mechanical branch students was around 4 lakhs of 2015 pass out batch. 180 placement offers being provided to 2015 passout batch. It's fees is only Rs. 24000/- only for 1 year. But the campus infrastructure is not too good and campus life is also average.

Faculties are old and experienced but to Lear. Sometimes you will have to motivate your own self. People won’t be bothered if you are learning or not. This is the only college which has Air force fighter plane in its campus. Its engine is available for Mechanical engineering to have its study.

It's a government institute. All teachers have a lot of knowledge and teaching experience. But one thing that is very disappointing is that they don't take lectures properly. Labs are available but instruments are old. Placement is average. I would like to say that if students want to save their money and believe that they can make their career themselves, they can join this college.

College has very low fees and is affordable.

Placements: Last year, placements rate for Mechanical branch was good. There are good placement opportunities for the mechanical branch in our college with RGVP certification and low fees. It is good for SC/ST category students. College is average as it justify fees and amenities. It lacks sports facilities but the college organizes events.

Overall, the college is good.

Placements: More than 150 students are placed from Ujjain Engineering College in 2022 with the highest package of 33 Lacs per annum. Dozens of students are placed with more than 7 LPA packages. TCS, Infosys, tudip, Gemini etc. are the top recruiters.

This college has a good government compared to other colleges.

Placements: Placements are available here, but they are not provided for the long term. Here only some selected companies visit for recruitment. You always have to prefer open campus placements for better jobs, or it is best for you to opt for exam based jobs for the long term if you are interested.

Our college is below average, and I am dissatisfied with it.

Placements: About 60% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered is up to 7 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA. The top recruiting company for our course is TCS for many years. Almost all students get internships. We are able to organise many programmes ranging from Exception, in which students from a lot of colleges in the city meet together, etc. Our college needs to invite other companies.

Placements: Around 70% students from my course got placed. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, the lowest is 2.4 LPA and average package is 4 LPA. HSBC, Yash technologies, Impetus and TCS etc. are the top recruiters. Around 15% students got internship, mostly in startup like Woodcraft. Top role offered is assistant system engineer.

Our college has a good value for money & is good if you are a self-learner.

Placements: Placements in our college mostly depend on your caliber as there were very fewer companies that hire on campus. If you are good enough, you will land a job from off-campus placements in other cities like Indore that are close to Ujjain. Overall placements were not good, especially for a branch other than CS.

It is a decent college, if you can take the ownership of your future.

Placements: Placements in our college were very poor. Mostly the placements were offered to students by open campus companies. Only a single-digit number of companies visit the college. Although from the CS department, around 70% of the students got placed, and they were mostly in MNCs. One needs to go the extra mile on their own.
