University College of Medical Sciences: Pioneer in Medical Research.
Placements: The batch strength is 170 students. The MBBS course is 5.5 years. There is no placement after course completion. Generally, MBBS graduates have two choices: First, to pursue postgraduate studies, and second, to join as junior residents in any hospital. As a junior resident, one can earn up to 80,000 to 1,25,000 per month, depending on the hospital they join.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is well maintained. There are 4 lecture halls, all fully air-conditioned, with a seating capacity of about 200 students. Labs and demonstration rooms are well-equipped with required materials. The library is well furnished with sufficient books from various top-notch publishers and in varied fields of medicine. Wi-Fi is available in the whole college building and library. There is also a reading room with a capacity of 200 students at a time. The hostel is separate for boys and girls. There is a separate single room provided to each student from the first year, and the room is spacious. Washrooms and toilets are provided, 1 for every 5 students. The mess provides neat, clean, and hygienic food. The taste may not be that great, but it's good to go. Meals are provided three times and evening tea. There is a college canteen that provides good food at a reasonable price. The hospital linked to the college is GTB Hospital, which serves as the teaching hospital and is 1,900 beds with good medical facilities. The college campus is huge, with about 90 acres. There is a cricket ground, basketball court with turf, volleyball court, badminton court, and in indoors, there is availability of table tennis, chess, and carrom. There is a gym in the hostel with adequate basic equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and top-notch. Professors here are among the leading authors of famous books in the medical field. They are supportive and provide a good environment for learning. Research-oriented work is hugely appreciated, and there is always a lot more work going on in different departments in the field of research. Students here get proper clinical exposure, and after they complete the MBBS degree, they are well acquainted with the basics of medical science and basic clinical practice. Semester exams and tests are held on a regular schedule, and prior notice is given for the same. The difficulty level is moderate; if you have studied the basics and paid attention in class, it is easy to score marks. Almost 80 percent of students pass the exam in the first attempt. Those who fail are given another opportunity to pass by appearing in supplementary examinations.
Other: There is an annual inter-college fest held during March-April, named Ripple, which consists of a lot of activities like star night, prom night, band night, gala dinner, fashion show, literary events, and drama events. There is an intra-college fest too, held in winter, named Avalanche. The campus is peaceful, with 90 acres of space and a lot of greenery (getting fresh air in Delhi is really a pro). The college is well connected with metro facilities, with Jhilmil or Mansarovar Park on the Red Line being the nearest metro station. Cabs, e-rickshaws, and autos are easily available round the clock. There are good cafes and places to hang out with friends like Keventers Market, Meltado, Haldirams, Banking Brew, Xerox Degrees, Hone n Dough. These places are in the vicinity of about 2-5 km from the college.

Faculty members are good. Good college; every member is disciplined and qualified.
Placements: From Goldman Sachs to the Big 4, every top company comes here for placements. Percentage-wise, I would call placements decent as the overall percentage stands at around 70%. De Shaw gave the highest package of 37 LPA to one of the students from the college in 2023. I think this is by far the highest package offered for our department, which stands at 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our annual fest is Sargam, but it's not the only event, as the college is full of events. Every month, we have some events, and there are many departments, and departmental fests are also of large magnitude. Classrooms are equipped with all the latest amenities, and mind you, it's the sporting facilities on the campus that made our college one of the best.
Faculty: The faculties for Data Science are more than those for CSE. Since I am still exploring, as I am just in my second year, all I can say is we have around 9 faculties, including both semesters last year. So for less than 60 students, 9 faculties mean 1 faculty per 6-7 students.
Other: Good college. Very good experience.

Ucms- a short review This review tells about the course details of the college.
Placements: Our college has great academics. This year PG and INI CET results were amazing from our college. The class consists of 170-180 students and classes takes place from 8 am to 5pm. The teachers are also very experienced.
Infrastructure: There is projector for presentations and a touch whiteboards. The library and reading room services are amazing. There is no public Wi-Fi. For food we have canteen which has good food with reasonable price.
Faculty: As every one knows MBBS is not an easy course. There are ton of exams and huge syllabus. Our college also does not provide preparation leaves. The new curriculum is actually nice and helps covering subjects nicely.

UCMS is one of the best medical colleges in India.
Placements: Placements do not happen as such in this college, but 100% of the passing students have to do a paid internship, during which approximately ₹26k stipend is provided per month. Roles involve interning at the associated hospital, i.e., GTB Hospital, where one has to perform duties in various departments.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are available in the lecture theatre, library, labs, wards, and hospital. A projector is used for teaching purposes, and a skill lab is available for learning new skills related to medical sciences. Simulation of various disciplines is provided for better learning.
Faculty: Teachers are not extremely helpful and skilled in their domain. They are well-qualified in their degrees—post-graduate residents, senior residents, assistant professors, associate professors, and professors are available to help the candidates. Academics are top-notch with regular exams held.

Huge campus with a great alumni network.
Placements: The placements and the internships are good. The college provides excellent internship opportunities in GTB hospital which is one of the best hospitals in east Delhi. They offer a stipend of 26.5k per month. The internship is compulsory for 1 year all over India for MBBS. The placements are not provided in a medical college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in this college is quite old now and needs to be built from scratch. Though the existing infrastructure is pretty well maintained. The library is one of the best in India for a medical college and has its own app. There is a basketball court along with a field. The mess and hostel rooms are average. Single rooms are provided from 1st year onwards. The canteen is also good.
Faculty: The teachers here are one of the best in the country as the University is affiliated with DU. The course doesn't need much introduction as it is the first step of becoming a good doctor. The exams are fairly tough with many tests being held regularly. The teachers are interactive and they solve your doubts.
Other: Annual fests are held. This year, the star of the fest was Mohit Chauhan. There is a society for everything in the college. The only change I wish is the campus location.

Review of University College of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi.
Placements: Every passout of UCMS gets to do an internship at GTB Hospital at a stipend of around 30,000/month, and after the internship, you get posted in a Delhi government hospital for a salary of around 125,000/month, which is for a maximum of 1 year only. So, 100% of students get offered these placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good; the whole college is air-conditioned and equipped with fast Wi-Fi. Classrooms are excellent compared to other medical colleges. The library is also equipped with almost all medical books and has various journals and medical papers, also Wi-Fi equipped. Hostel food is very good if you ask the freshers, but slowly your taste buds will get used to it, and you will crave something better. But overall, you have options for eating either from the mess or from the canteen. In the canteen, you get a subsidy. For sports, a ground is there for cricket, basketball, badminton, volleyball, football; these games are more prominent here.
Faculty: Most teachers are very helpful; they will assist you in clearing your doubts and understanding the topics better, except for a few who just come to college to read the slides. This course is actually very good if you want to serve the community for their betterment. College is very strict in terms of their exams; like every week, there is either a seminar, exam, or presentation.
Other: My father wants to see me as a good doctor, that's why I chose this course. The best thing about it is its vast syllabus, which no one can complete. In terms of improvement, I would suggest making topics more interesting in the first year. Festivals have not been held in our college for quite a few years; I hope they will resume. Regarding events, there are many that our college organizes, like Mediacamentum, etc.
