Value for money, and good placement opportunity.
Placements: The placement scenario in our college is good. A lot of companies like KPMG, Deloitte, etc. visit our college, and we have a DIC lab that collaborates with Nottingham University in the UK and offers internship opportunities to bright minds. A lot of companies start visiting our campus even before the 8th sem. The faculty is supportive and would definitely help you secure internships and such.
Infrastructure: The campus of Panjab University is completely accessible to UIET students; hence, we have a swimming pool, playground, shooting range, and many other facilities to name a few. Our entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. We have two libraries: one is 24 hours, called AC Joshi, and the other is specifically for UIET, open during college hours. Classrooms are moderately good with AC classes for CSE and IT departments.
Faculty: A few of the faculty members are exceptional, and others not so much. Like most colleges, your academics depend on your efforts. We follow the same course as most other engineering colleges, which in recent times has become a bit outdated. Semester exams are moderately tough, but with adequate preparation, they can surely be passed.
Other: I chose this course because this was a government college that provided enough value for money. I wish the infrastructure and faculty would have been better. We are given ample scholarship opportunities and opportunities for extracurricular activities. Overall, I am quite happy with my decision to choose this college.

B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.8

Value for money with great ROI .
Placements: Since I am a first-year student, I don't have much idea about placements. But it is quite decent. One of my EEE seniors got 6 LPA, one of the IT seniors got 14 LPA, and the CSE senior got around 12 LPA as well and that too at the start of the final year itself. So there are many opportunities.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good. There are labs for each branch, be it for any subject of electrical or computers. Wi-Fi facility is provided in the whole campus, which runs very smoothly. Classrooms are decent. The library is well maintained and one can study there peacefully during free time.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. Most of them are doctorates. Each teacher has very good knowledge of their subject. The course curriculum is relevant and is the same as that of any other engineering college. Semester exams are doable if you study enough. One has to achieve a minimum of 50% credit in order to prevent a year back.

It's a fine college you can get if you can at your rank by seeing the cutoff for previous years.
Placements: 81 out of 120 students were placed in ECE branch on this ongoing year. DDRO is a major recruiter in our branch for core placements. The highest placement on campus was 25 Lacs per annum, while off campus was 40 Lacs. This was for the whole college not just ECE branch.
Infrastructure: Hostels are there but very less students will get there seat as seats are limited and will be provided on the basis of your rank. Wi-Fi is present throughout the campus but in some block it's damaged and will rarely get repaired. Food is very average to below average.
Faculty: All Lecturers are highly qualified since this is a government institute all professors are either pursuing Ph.D. or have completed their Ph.D. Some students do say that there are some professors that discriminate between local and non local students but till now I have not experienced that.
Other: One fest for quiet. Other departments do have their respective fest which we can attend and are quite enjoyable.

A good college and has value for money.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course is about 90%. The highest salary package offered is 13 LPA. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top companies that visit our campus include ZS, Deloitte, Jungle Works, etc. Around 70% of students got internships from companies in my course. The top roles offered in my course are software developer, data analyst, penetration tester, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi in our college is average, but Wi-Fi in the library and labs is good. Overall, the infrastructure of our college is average. Classrooms are average, but the library is good, and labs are very good. Facilities in our hostel are average. They provide free drinking water and washing machines for students. But, the mess in our hostel is below average, while the canteen is good. Sports facilities in our hostel are also good, and our hostel has a free gym.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and highly knowledgeable. The quality of teaching at our college is average. Our course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Our semester exams are quite difficult, and we have to study well. The passing percentage is 50%.

Full Enjoyment, but Stay Consistent.
Placements: The placements are decent for the rank at which they are providing the CSE branch, around 12 LPA. The placement percentage was around 80-90%. The highest package on campus is 45 LPA. Summer internships are also provided here in the first two weeks of summer vacation.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are decent compared to the fees we are paying. The hostel fee is just 1k INR per month, and that too in Chandigarh. The sports facilities are very good. The campus is great, and there are many advantages of being related to Panjab University.
Faculty: The curriculum is not as hard as in other colleges. The teachers are good if you are good to them. Being consistent is the key here. The mid-sem tests are easy; out of the two mid-sem exams, the better one is conducted, and the end-sem is also good. The pass percentage is a minimum of 40/100 per subject.
Other: You will get exposure here the most, as you don’t only interact with your batchmates but also with students from other departments. Also, you learn about the hype of student politics here and enjoy the freedom of the non-restriction policy on the hostel.

College is good because of its location and placements are decent for higher branches.
Placements: The average package in CSE is 9 lacs and the highest package is 30 lacs. Top companies are American Express, Deloitte, TCS, Loreal, Infosys, KCMTG, etc. There is no internship provided formally here; we have to apply on our own. 70 percent students are placed in CSE or IT departments.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so good of UIET Sector 25 as it is so old; classrooms are not air-conditioned for 1st year students and are also so old; the library of college is good but it closes at 9 pm; labs are also air-conditioned; hostel infrastructure is good; and mess food is also okay. There is sports options for people who have interest.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable while you have to study by yourself from your side. Semester exams are average, as I gave minor only; it was just average, not very difficult. For the 1st semester, 50 percent credits are required to pass to the next semester . Yes, it is relevant.
