Amazing ROI, But Too Hassle!

Placements: All Students are interested in placements some of them are interested in government jobs. So Almost Who Sits in Placement drive gets placed. 4-5 Core Company comes so most are placed in service based company Gemini Solutions. Job Role - Analyst 50% used to get internship in service based company in which they are placed! Generally Package lies between 6-9 Lacs. Avg around 7 Lacs. Few students also gets above 10lpa.

Honest review of quiet Chandigarh, Punjab University.

Placements: It's an average decent college in my opinion. About placements. I can't say cause I've not witnessed it yet but I've heard it's decent, at least for CSE and IT branches. In the end, it all depends on you, anyways. Other branches like ECE and biotech don't offer many jobs on campus.

I am satisfied with placements in software companies but not for core branches.

Placements: In ECE, 97% were placed in the year 2021. Comparatively, it was higher than the offline placement drive. The highest on-campus salary package is 41 LPA by Amazon. The lowest salary package is 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA in ECE. Top recruiters are Samsung Electronics, Deloitte, and Amazon. Internships are not officially provided by the college, but they will fully support you if you have an offer letter.

Review of University Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: I'm in the 2025 batch pursuing B.E in electronics and communication. In the electronics and communication branch, about 60-70% of students were placed in year 2021-2022. The highest salary package offered was 35 LPA by Amazon. The average salary package offered is 8 LPA. About 70% of students got internships in 2021-2022.

Our college is good but the hostel facility is not good.

Placements: Placements are good in mechanical, and around 40-60% of students are placed in other branches like CSE, IT, and ECE. Placements are good in mechanical and electrical. Placements are very low, and the top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc.

Dissatisfied due to the infrastructure. But great teachers.

Placements: There are a lot fewer companies approaching our college if we compare to other branches like CS and IT. The average package is really small around 5 LPA.Deloitte, Tata Motors, Honda, Maruti, etc. There are no internships offered in the first year for students. Top roles offered to the seniors are the machine designers.

CSE and IT Branches almost have the best placement and faculty members are satisfied.

Placements: Several students placed are very less because of bad faculty members and only some of the subjects will be good faculty members. Companies are allowing jobs only for the core branches, and also top recruiters like amazon, google (sometimes)allow CSE and IT branches students.

You can opt for this college only if you have no other option or you don't want placements.

Placements: Placements for the mechanical branch are not good. The highest salary package offered is around 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are not core companies, they are IT companies. Almost 30% of the students got placed and others went for GATE. Please prepare for GATE.

Review of University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University.

Placements: Placements are not good, just like any other private college. Only one or two students will get good placements. But the good thing about this college is that there are only 250 students in CSE and IT branches. To get placed, you need to be among the top 5 students, and it is easier, unlike the other private colleges. All the remaining students will either get into service-based companies or startups with packages between 5-8 LPA, and the average package is 5-6 LPA.

The infrastructure is outdated, but the faculty are very good for core subjects.

Placements: Placement mainly depends on the capabilities of students. The institute does provide some help through the placement cell. International companies like Google and Microsoft also recruit students from time to time. The high-tier students can get a package of 20-30 LPA. The average package offered is 5-6 LPA.

Dissatisfied because of placements and guidance. Clean, healthy and safe environment.

Placements: There were zero placements for this course. No efforts were made for placements at T&Ps end for this course. Students in this course must go for internships during summer and winter breaks in companies such as Intel, synopsis, cadence, Stmicroelectronics, NXP, Xilinx etc.

I am dissatisfied with the branch.

Placements: Placements provided are very low in our branch. Only 1-2 core companies come to college. Companies of CSE and IT companies visit the campus for recruitment. Therefore, maximum students are placed from these branches, and other branches have very low placements. This diversity is very bad.

Join the college but not EEE branch.

Placements: The majority of companies that visit the UIET campus for placements are only IT companies and mass recruiters. No core companies for EEE visit the college. To get placed in a company with good package, you got to learn programming yourself as an add-on knowledge to compete with the CSE, IT and ECE students. Otherwise, the max you'll get is a consultancy job. Be sure to start learning from the get-go when joining EEE in UIET.

Placements: Students who scored above 6.0 CGPA are eligible for placements. In our course in 2019, the average salary package offered is 7 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 40 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are Microsoft, Deloitte, Samsung, Airtel, Infosys, etc. Students are offered with the role of a manager. Almost 60% of the students got an internship.

Not satisfied with placements.

Placements: Only 15% of students of my batch were placed. The highest package offered is 12.5 Lacs and the minimum was 3.6 Lacs. However, the highest package given by the company is not in the mechanical core. Main core company that comes are Honeywell and Saint Gobain. To date, only two students get an internship offer and one is from non-mechanical core ie ZS Associates. The placement of the mechanical department is not good.

Life at Panjab University is very good, and the experience is average.

Placements: Placements are okay. If you have reasonably good communication skills, then you will be placed but don't keep your hopes too high. Most of the candidates are placed in a mass recruiter company like Infosys. Except for CSE and IT, placements in core companies are almost nil.
