Yes, we have our placement cell TPC and it is actively working to provide more and more jobs to the students.

Placements are good for the computer science and information technology departments.

Placements: Many companies visit the campus every year to hire the students of the 7th semester. Students usually complete their course as per their curriculum and start to work in the company as a beginner to get trained. The placement rate of the computer science branch and information technology branch is about 95%. The placement rate of other branches is low. The placement rate of the biotechnology department is the lowest of all the departments and is about 20%-30%.

A good college and great student life.

Placements: Placements were good for the students of biotechnology branch. However, there are very less core biotechnology companies that visited the college for placements. In our batch, around 80% of the interested students got placed.

UIET, PU is the best college for mid-rankers above 30,000 ranks.

Placements: Companies like ZS Associates and Deloitte visit the campus every year and offer salary packages anywhere around 6-8.50 LPA. Almost 20-30 students get placed in these companies. The college has a tie-up with Infosys which is a mass recruiter and definitely selects students from the campus. Also, Clicklab and Sapient are visitors during the placements. The highest salary package offered was 8.50 LPA, and the average was around 3-4 LPA.

A review of University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab University.

Placements: Placements in the last year were one of the best till now. The highest salary package offered was 20 LPA and the average salary package offered was 4-5 LPA. The percentage of placements was also better than last year. The placement cell is working really hard to provide placements to students. As far as I have heard, internships are available in the college, but they are not offered with high stipends.

This college is good, but I am not satisfied.

Placements: Placements were good only for the students of CSE, IT and ECE branches. Every year, around 90% of the students get placed from these branches. Infosys is the mass recruiter of our college. The average salary package offered was 3.20 LPA to 4 LPA. The only drawback is that the college does not focus on improving communication skills, aptitude skills and technical skills of students.

Punjab University is home away from home.

Placements: Placements in the college are good with almost 100% students getting placed. The highest salary package offered was 11 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.25 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, ZS, Infosys and many more startups like Jugnoo, Clicklabs, Alert Labs, Capgemini, Gemini Solutions, and Root Analysis, etc., have visited our campus for placements drive.

Overall, it's a great college.

Placements: The placement percentage of our senior batches are quite good. The average salary package offered was about 5 LPA. The college has a training and placement cell to handle all the placement related activities. They are working quite efficiently. This year, the highest salary package offered was 20 LPA.

Faculty members need to be more helpful.

Placements: Placements in the college were quite good. Infosys also visited for mass recruitment. Deloitte was another company that visited to hire students. There is a placement cell, but they don't train us for interviews, and it is not much useful. We have other clubs like the debating society which enhances our speaking skills.

Placements and faculty are on a decent level. Dissatisfied with the infrastructure.

Placements: The placements provided in our college are decent which is neither too good nor too bad. If you are going for CSE or IT, the placement percentage is 100%. It is not guaranteed that you will be satisfied with your placements as the packages are not that high. On an average, the salary packages offered to placed students are fine. Some of the companies that visit our college are Deloitte, ZS, Optum, Jugnoo, Infosys, etc. There is a placement cell in our college, and it is called TPC.

I am thrilled because of all the concepts this college has taught me.

Placements: Students here have good calibre, and they get placed in good companies. Although the college has a placement cell, both, the number of students who get placed and the number of companies that visit the campus can be improved. The college must put in more efforts to help students get internships.

Overall, my college experience has been average because there are no official trips, freshers, etc.

Placements: There has been a significant improvement in the placements. Many of my seniors got placed in some of the best companies like Infosys, Mu Sigma (Bangalore), Deloitte, etc. The minimum package offered was about 3-4 lacs per annum and the highest was 15 lacs per annum. There is a placement cell in the college which is known as TPC. The students in this cell help other fellow mates by giving them the required information regarding placements.

A huge difference is seen in placements every year, and the faculty have been good so far.

Placements: As per my knowledge, placements in UIET are based on the criteria that the students should have an overall CGPA of around 7 without any backlogs. If there is any, students should clear the exams before the 7th semester (as companies start visiting the college before the 7th-semester exams). Companies like Infosys, Deloitte, ZS Associates, Ascentx, Z Scalar, Clicklabs and many others visited the college to offer placements, this year. The highest package offered till now is 8 LPA. Mostly, the rol...

Our college is okay but not good. But, our college must be good.

Placements: Placement scenario in our college is not good but okay. The average salary offered was in between 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA. Our college should provide some technical stuff in the course so that students get to know about what is going on the industrial level. Moreover, our college may invite new companies so that the number of placements gets increased. This year, companies like Infosys and Optum visited our college to hire students.

Satisfied with the placements and faculty, but dissatisfied with co-curricular activities.

Placements: Almost all the students of my senior batch got placed with an average salary package of 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 25 LPA and the lowest salary offered was 3 LPA. A lot of companies like Deloitte, Jugnoo, Infosys, KPMG, ZS, Adobe, Optum, etc., visited our college to hire students. There is a placement cell in our college, and it is very active during the placements.

A great college for Localites.

Placements: There are low chances for good on campus placements though a few good mass recruiters come. Big companies don't join the placement drive in the college. But out side the campus, name of University works. Placement cell is okay but not very good. Average package is around 4-5 lacs yearly.

Students in the college have quality but lack the platform to expose themselves.

Placements: Students from CSE and IT branches have a great scope to get placed in both technical as well as consultancy MNCs. However, only few core companies visit the campus for EEE and ECE, and same goes with biotechnology and mechanical branches. Companies that majorly visit are Infosys, Deloitte, KPMG, ZS and Optum. HMEL (for electrical students) visited the campus for the first time in 2018.

Placements: Placements here are really good for most of the branches. There are 6 branches in total. Many companies are attracted towards here for their placement drives. But the placements for mechanical students is really poor, except for the people who want to go to the corporate world.

There is a perfect blend of academics and co-curriculars. You can achieve and learn that you want.

Placements: The placements in the college are fairly good. Last year, more than 10 students got placed in core companies of mechanical engineering. Overall, the placement percentage in mechanical is 40%. Apart from that, the placements of CSE and IT branches are superb with 70% placement record. This year, the highest salary offered is 18 LPA.

If speaking in particular, mechanical stream regarding placement is poor.

Placements: The placements for IT, CSE and ECE is something that every one wants, it's huge for my batch and senior batches as well. Regarding placement, Mechanical is the worst branch to be part of it. Even Biotechnology holds good in placement. Around 70 to 80 percent of the students from these top 3 branches get placed every year. The highest salary was offered by Juganoo around 11 lacs per annum and the lowest is offered by Infosys, 3.6 lacs per annum. Deloitte, ZS, Infosys, Zycus, Juganoo, Zscaler, SU...
