UVCE - A place to explore self and engineer society.

Placements: UVCE is a government funded engineering college and the only one in Bangalore. This is the very reason that most of the top companies and organisations visit the college first before any other institution. Every ever, the college has shown a consistent track record of 90+% campus placement in the core engineering streams. Reputed companies like General Motors, Royal Enfield, Bosch, Textron, Mercedes Benz, and others visit the campus. Computer and Information Science streams have the best recruit...

UVCE - 6th engineering college of India.

Placements: UVCE promises to offer 100% placements but every year 70-80% students are getting placed with 800-1000 offers every year. Roles offered are analyst, developer, tester, associates, and technical support. With companies offering from 1.8 LPA to 11 LPA. Internships are also offered to 3rd year students. Few foreign companies visit the campus offering more than 30 LPA. Merchant navy offers around 18-21 LPA. Few government public sector companies also turn up like BHEL, Bharat Petroleum, etc. High pa...

The best college for fees to placements ratio. Overall development guaranteed.

Placements: The placements for our batch were pretty good. Nearly 85% of the eligible students were placed and more than 100 companies visited our campus. The average salary for my batch was around 4.5 LPA, the lowest salary offered for our batch was 2.4LPA and the highest salary offered was up to 14LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Avaya, Oracle, Commvault, General Electric etc visited our campus. The internship for the BE students was less compared to the ME students. The students who got placement offer als...

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is one of the oldest college in Karnataka as well as in India. It is a reputed college as it was built by Bharata Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. * Reachability - UVCE is located in the heart of the city, near to Majestic and has an easy reach.. * Infrastucture - Infrastructure is very poor. It is a government college and is 100 years old. The buildings are not well maintained. *Fee – The fee is less as compared to other colleges in Bangaluru. Admission ...

UVCE is the college for placements and fun.

Placements: As UVCE is a government college, we have very good companies which visit our campus. The highest package for mechanical was of 11 lakhs, that too from public sector company BPCL. Other companies like Royal Enfield, Godrej and Boyce, Vedanta, Hilti, Toyota, Tata, Faurecia and many more companies came for recruitment. For other branches like cs, it, we have a lot of companies ranging from 3 to 16 lakhs packages and companies are very frequent here. You will get placement training before placemen...

This college is located in the centre of Bangalore and is well connected by BMTC buses and Metro. Since it is located in the centre of the city, the campus is not that big. However, our college is affiliated to Bangalore University, so we can use the side by campuses and the auditorium of the central college, which is also affiliated to Bangalore University. You can`t get management quota seats here, but if seats remained vacant, they will announce through notification. The fee is very low, th...

This college is established by Sir M Visvesvaraya. I did my Masters degree in Thermal Science and Engineering from September 2013 to December 2015. I got to express a lot in various activities and gained valuable technical expertise. The only disadvantage is that the support from the system is very less. Procedures are not followed. There is no support system to help the student’s community. In a way all these shortcomings are also an advantage because of which students learn to do things by the...

Good placement, which is best in the city but bad infrastructure which is poor. The fee is very less. Good scholarship facilities. The faculty is good but you should bother them more to get stuff. Examination is strict. People do fail. But a good place to study. Placement can trade of every bad aspect of the college.

College is good, but administration is bad since it comes under Bangalore University. It took more than 18 months since the completion of the course to get the degree certificate from the University. Coming to the college, placements are good, every year close to 100% placement is achieved, but knowledge wise we should be ready to do lot of self-study.

The civil engineering department is located at the Bangalore university campus. The surrounding area is covered in greenery. As one approaches the building, we observe that the building was built a long time ago. Going only by the appearance it may be difficult to judge the infrastructure of the college. But the truth is that the college boasts about big class rooms, well equipped and furnished laboratories having all the experiments apparatus, and samples for testing and reporting purpose. One ...

It is a nice and well-reputed college in Bangalore. Placements are also good. In 2015, approximately 100 companies visited and recruited around 700 people from our college. The college will soon be celebrating its 100th anniversary. All most all teaching faculty are PhD holders. I am proud to have been a part of this college.

One of the oldest engineering colleges in India - was started by Sir Visvesvaraya himself in 1917 - was renowned then and known for the excellent quality of engineers it produced. There is little that the faculty contributes to the development of the students, and the ones that do go on to succeed would attribute none of it to their alma mater. The administration and faculty alike are heavily political - vying for their own personal gain. The college though funded heavily by the World Bank sees ...

College is good in placements, which too for IT branches are very good, infrastructure is not good enough, but this is not at all a problem in comparison to the things which are good here. This is a government run college, so low fees structure. Self-study is essential here, may be this is the reason why it attracts more IT companies.

Wonderful college with excellent support from faculty members particularly if you want to pursue a career in research and development. As it is at the heart of the city and attracts many students both to pursue a course and during fests, it is also an autonomous college, attendance is not that strict, placements for UG is very good for PG Internships are very common but core placements are very less.

A very good college with good reputation in IT industry. It provides you a platform to directly interact with many IT giants by giving an opportunity of internships in the companies, which can be offered as jobs after the internship completion. It is the only college offering BE/ME under Bangalore university with very good campus placement opportunities.
