This is best college for those who aspire to graduate from one of top colleges in city.
Placements: Over 70% of students from the last year's batch were placed. We have a training and placement office that is part of college. They provide an excellent campus recruitment experience. They train us for placement process and offer internships related to recruitment.
Infrastructure: We have a library with a separate study area, which helps study alone without disturbances. Classrooms are clean and equipped with projector facilities. Each course has a spacious laboratory. Hostel facilities are also provided by college, and they are very comfortable and secure for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly experienced and hold doctorate degrees. Teachers are very helpful and do their best to ensure that we understand concepts. Exam process is very disciplined and strict. Sometimes, conduction of exams may be delayed, and results may be delay by university, but this is usually sorted out easily.

Make a good choice, make a good career. Join UVCE.
Placements: This year around 87% of all students admitted to final year have got placed in various companies. The highest package in UVCE is 58 LPA till now. The average package for IT branches is 10lpa and for core branches it is 6-7 LPA. Top recruiters for my course are SAP labs, Deutsche bank, Rakuten, Iron mountains and juniper network. Around 70% of final year students got internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure st UVCE is poor. There is enough place to accommodate students for lectures but when compared to other colleges in Bangalore, the area of campus is too less. Shortage of Staff, poor lab facilities. Hostel food is quite good and the new hostel building for boys is amazing. Very less scope for sports and games in college.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable enough. The teaching is quite good. The course is relevant enough to make prepare the students for industry standards. The exams are very ease. Very few people fails in exams. Passing percent is 40%. .
Other: I chose this course because it is in very high demand in Bangalore. The best thing about my course is its best placement opportunities. There are 4 major fest in college. 2 tech and 2 cultural. It's very fun during the fests.

The college has good placement and a nice environment. You should learn things on your own.
Placements: The placement in our college is pretty good. Almost 96 percent of CSE students got placed in 2022. In fact, ISE has had 100 percent placement for three years. The highest in 2022 was 58 LPA, and in 2023, I think it was around 45 LPA. Companies like IBM, Cognizant, and Dell visit us. Our college's placement is good because of the strong alumni network it has.
Infrastructure: The college is like heaven, with a healthy environment and surrounded by nature, amidst the busy city center. The infrastructure is good, but the facilities, I think, are average. The hostel is also heavenly. Once you get settled, the food in the hostel is good and costs only 90 per day, which is impressive.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but I think the quality is average. If you ask them questions, they will answer you with depth of knowledge. The course follows the NEP syllabus. I think the curriculum is not very relevant, but we have a lot of free time, so we can learn much. However, the college does not spoon-feed you.
Other: There are many fests like Kagada, Impetus, and others that you will enjoy a lot. There are also many clubs to help you gain additional skills.

B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2025

4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall placements and college is good, Infrastructure can be better.
Placements: 60.5% of the eligible candidates got placed from EEE for the year 2022-23. We had a total of 210 companies visit for different streams like SAP Labs, TCS, Deutsche Bank, Daimler, etc. Particularly for the core, we had companies like Texas Instruments, Applied Materials, Palo Alto Networks, Juniper Networks, Flowserve, Tejas Network, Mistral Solutions, Delta Electronics, etc. 42 offers have been made under dream core. EEE students also got placed in many IT companies.
Infrastructure: As it is an older university, the infrastructure is not as fancy as in other colleges in Bengaluru. However, the basic necessities required are being provided. There is Wi-Fi with low access points, labs are okay with the instruments and machines for EEE, classrooms are sufficiently spacious, specifically for EEE, and the library has all the books mentioned in the reference books of the syllabus. Hostel: There are three hostels under UVCE, 1) UVCE boys hostel, K R Circle 2) UVCE girls hostel, Jnanabharathi 3) UVCE girls hostel, Jayanagar. Basic amenities like a cot, cupboard, and study tables are provided with communal washrooms, which are maintained with good hygiene. The food is really healthy and good in taste for me but depends on personal choice. Sports facilities aren't provided, but the management won't object to students playing football and cricket in the open space.
Faculty: Faculty: EEE is one of the two branches with the highest permanent facilities in the college, with a few qualified teachers who earned their Masters and Ph.D. from IITs. Some teachers are really helpful, while others are quite knowledgeable but find it hard to convey information to students. As this is engineering, there will be no spoonfeeding in any college. Students must come out of their comfort zone and work hard by themselves, but they'll get maximum support from faculty members. Curriculum: UVCE is now following the NEP scheme and syllabus specified by UUCMS, making slight changes from the earlier Bangalore University syllabus. Exams: Exams are strictly conducted in our branch, but somehow most of the students clear all the subjects at the end.
Other: Best part of UVCE is the campus crowd, especially your bonding with the seniors will be expected, and they'll be of great help more than your teachers in many things. We'll have quite a good free time compared to other hectic colleges in Bengaluru, so you can explore yourself and learn new technical or soft skills. Fests: We'll have fests around the year with 2/3 cultural fests and 3 technical fests. We have 14 clubs in college conducting various events and activities related to Kannada, theatre, quiz, pop culture, nature, art, photography, etc.

A very affordable government college with good placement.
Placements: Almost all the studeget placed in uvce. The highest package was around 59 LPA last year. Some of the top recruiting companies includes atlassian, SAP labs and fivetran. Internship oppare also good but if you want to go for internshiin second year only Two companies recruit for that. Top role offerein our course is software developed.
Infrastructure: Library, computer labs and Wi-Fi everything is available but if you expect very good infrastructure then this college is not for you, You can go for any other private college. Canteen is quite okay but you may have to compromises for sports and games as there are not too much opportunity. Coming to the hostel, it is quite good and low cost also which anyone can afford.
Faculty: Faculty is not that good but a pressure is also low. So, you can concentrate on developing other skills. And course curriculum is also easy while comparing to other college you can easily score 8gpa+. Faculty is really supportive if u ask any doubt But like any other college most of the time you have to explore yourself.

Q:   Is entrance exam enough for B.Tech admission at UVCE?

A:

Admissions to the BTech course provided by the Univesity Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is entrance-based. Students are required to clear the minimum eligibility i.e., to pass Class 12 or its equivalent in the relevant subjects from a recognised board. As the competition for UVCE BTech seats is high, it is important that the candidates secure good marks in the Common Entrance Test conducted by the KEA. Additionally, students need to participate in the counselling process conducted by the KEA for seat allottment. Hence, although the admissions are entrance-based and ideally entrance exam should be enough for securing admisson, students must secure above the cutoff to confirm their seat.

Q:   Can I get into University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering with 70% in class 12?

A:

The eligibility criteria for admission to University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) is a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 from a recognised board. However, the admission to UVCE is done through CET, and the merit list is prepared based on the candidate's performance in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka. The merit list is prepared purely on the basis of merit, and the candidates are admitted based on their ranking in the merit list. Therefore, having 70% in Class 12 may increase the chances of getting admission to UVCE, but it is not a guarantee.
