It is the best choice for students careers.

Placements: The percentage of students who were placed was around 30 to 40%. The average salary package offered was around 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 30 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Oracle, Toyota, Adobe, Volvo, LinkedIn, Bosch, and few more. Around 40% of students got internships from our course. Review of University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore University.

Placements: Almost 50% of students were placed in our college. There was no package like other colleges, and the average salary was Rs 35,000 per month. Most of all students used to get internships based on their sheet work and design. There was no rule in our college and the attendance was compulsory, students had to attend the class on time.

I'm dissatisfied because of old faculty, good placement, old infrastructure and facilities etc.

Placements: There were 15 members in our course and in that 2 were placed and other 5 got internship in a reputed company and still other company need to be attained. The highest salary is 6Lakh per annum, the lowest salary is 4Lakh per annum and average salary is 4Lakh per annum were offered. Royal Enfield, Faurecia, Cognizant, Infosys and Panasonic. Junior engineer, junior designer and junior analyst were the top roles offered in our course. 6 Lacs per annum is the highest package, 4 Lacs is the lowest ...

UVCE is an ambassador for students' talent.

Placements: The college is the best for its placements for the CSE and ISE students when compared with other government colleges in Karnataka. But only a few core companies visit the campus to hire the students of other branches. If the placement office is managed properly by a responsible officer and companies are asked to come to the college to hire the students of the branches like ECE, EEE, mechanical and civil, then this would be the best college in Karnataka.

Dissatisfied with the labs and faculty members.

Placements: Placements are good in this college. More than 50% of students were placed in this year and students got internships from HAL and other reputed companies. The T&P cell provides placement training for the students. Reputed companies like Infosys, Accenture, Royal Enfield and Cognizant, etc., visited our campus for placements drive.

Better not to choose this college.

Placements: Placements are good. But it is decreasing year by year. As compared to senior batches, our batch people got less job opportunity, the company which were offering 200-300 job offers are now offering only 50-60 job offers. Average salary offered is about 3.5-4.5 LPA. The highest package company was of 12-14lpa. Most of the well-known top company come for recruiting.

Placements are decent, but the infrastructure needs to be improved.

Placements: Placements were more satisfactory for our immediate senior batch. In our batch, around 60% of students were placed. Companies from almost all the verticals of the industry visited the campus for placements. There is a placement cell which is active in its operation. A few internships were also offered to students.

The decision of joining or not is up to the individual. It is not the place for sensitive students.

Placements: The college has its own placement cell which organises placement interviews for students and also trains them prior to the interviews. The placement statistics are good if not the best since it's a government college. Most of the jobs are related to the IT sector, but there are enough opportunities for grabbing in other departments too. The average package is around 3 LPA with 12 LPA being offered as the highest package for our batch. When it comes to companies visiting the company, one can see ...

If you want take admission please choose Computer or Information Science branch.

Placements: Around 100+ companies visited our college. Comparing our batch with senior batch, our batch placements were very low. They bagged 1000+ offer letter. I don't know what exact percent of students got placed in our batch but it is from 60 - 70% I guess. The highest package was somewhere around 12- 13 LPA and the lowest package was actually one company demand 40,000 from student lol. And these placements all depends on how your batch coordinators work on to invite companies and settle them for high ...

Be prepared to study on your own. The infrastructure needs to be improved.

Placements: In the information science engineering department, the placements offered for the 2018 batch students was 79%. Around 50 companies visited the campus for placements. Many people join this college only based on its previous placement statistics. The placements are quite consistent over the years. Many companies like Cisco, Dell, Adobe, etc., have visited the campus. Other mass recruiting companies like Infosys and Wipro also visit the campus for placements.

Good placements, but zero infrastructure.

Placements: As the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is the oldest and prestigious college of the government of Karnataka, the placements are quite good from the beginning. Almost every major company offers placement in our college with an average annual package of 3-4 Lacs.

Average placements for core branches, but a peaceful campus life.

Placements: The placements in the college are good for CS, IS branches and even EC to an extent, but the core branches don't get much of core companies because of which many of them end up in software jobs. It's quite same for the past few years. The highest package offered this year is 16 LPA from a company called Mckinsley. 2 students from CS branch got placed in the same. Talking about internships, that is quite better than actual placements, but the number of students getting selected is quite too less....

The honest review of my college.

Placements: The placements on the campus are good. Although being old and not popular, the big IT recruiters know the college and visit our college for the recruitments. Since the college placement cell is completely managed and maintained by a handful of the final year students, still it is in one piece.

I am dissatisfied due to a few irresponsible staffs.

Placements: The placements on the campus are good. The students were placed in the companies such as BPCL, Fore Asia, Westline, etc. The people with more than 70% aggregate will be placed. The placement office for the students itself for direct interaction with the HR with the support of principle and the other professors. We have a good batch of alumni cell and the PO offices.

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering.

Placements: The placements are one the main reasons; students prefer the college. The placements of our seniors were of top notch. There were many companies like Royal Enfield, Accenture, and other top companies came for recruiting students from our college. After RV college in Bangalore, UVCE is best for placements.

Good placements for all branches except civil and architecture.

Placements: Placements are really great for other branches like CS and EC. As the intake for civil and architecture are more, students are cheated from placements. As it is a government college, professors and the college administration are not really worried about the students getting placed.

One of the oldest engineering colleges in India - was started by Sir Visvesvaraya himself in 1917 - was renowned then and known for the excellent quality of engineers it produced. There is little that the faculty contributes to the development of the students, and the ones that do go on to succeed would attribute none of it to their alma mater. The administration and faculty alike are heavily political - vying for their own personal gain. The college though funded heavily by the World Bank sees ...
