Is MBBS at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) a good choice?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've found:

* Affordable Fee Structure: The fee structure is considered affordable, with a total cost of approximately INR30,000 for the entire duration of the program.

* Good Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure, with air-conditioned classrooms, laboratories, and libraries. The hostels are also well-maintained, with single and double-bedded rooms, mess, and canteen facilities.

* Cooperative Faculty Members: The faculty members are described as being cooperative, knowledgeable, and experienced. Many have completed their master's degrees in their respective fields.

* Placement Opportunities: While placements may not be directly related to medical careers, the college provides opportunities for students to participate in internships, research projects, and other extracurricular activities that can enhance their career prospects.

* Research-oriented Environment: The college fosters a research-oriented environment, encouraging students to participate in scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars.

* Scholarship Opportunities: Scholarship opportunities are available for students, making it easier for them to pursue their medical education without financial burden.

However, some areas for improvement mentioned by students include:

* Limited Gym and Sports Facilities: The college lacks a fully functional gym and sports complex.

* Mess Food Quality: Some students have reported subpar food quality in the mess.

* Library Closures: The library is sometimes closed on Sundays, limiting access to resources.

Overall, while VIMSAR may have some limitations, it appears to offer a good combination of affordability, infrastructure, faculty support, and research opportunities for aspiring doctors.

Faculty: The teachers of our college are very helpful and dedicated towards their job. They are very friendly and they are highly qualified. Our course is highly relevant and very good for future demand. The exams are not so difficult and not even easy.
Other: The lab can be improved. Our college conducts many fests including cultural and non-cultural.

Overall a good college. Infrastructure can still improve though.
Placements: As a medical college, Vimsar provides education to it's best and many students get PG seats all over. Well paid. Facilities like books and easy contact to faculty members for PG preparation is there. PG seniors also help a lot. Tuitions are available. Lot of learning and better job opportunities.
Infrastructure: Almost all the facilities are present like gym, football ground, badminton court, canteen, Wi-Fi facility, library and many more. Mess is average. Sometimes below average. But canteen provides better food. Better grounds and gym are present. AC and WIFI in library is present.
Faculty: Regular exams are conducted. Weekly and monthly assessment tests are given. Faculty members are the best. Only some subjects have kind of average faculty members. They cooperate and study is fun as practicals are done seriously. Clinicals are real experience and done gently, which makes us better at concept.
Other: Proper campus is not there with hostel. It is a bit away from hospital and college. College and hospital are in the front. This course has the best security and satisfaction, one can ever have in life. Exam schedule and ways can improve but overall it's good. Fests are just awesome. A lot of events, functions take place. Scholarship is also available for students.

No permanent faculty is there in our college.
Placements: Placements are good in our college, but we need to study in a proper and efficient way. We have duty hours of 4 hours, which is now the training period. In this period, we are not getting any stipend and we are working a lot during the day and night, which needs to be changed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is bad. The college campus is not so good. And also, the hostel campus is not so good. There is no boys hostel and in girls hostel, not sufficient place are there to stay, and also girls hostel infrastructure is not so good.
Faculty: No permanent faculty is there in our college. There are only a few permanent faculties in our college for which our students suffer a lot in their academic problems, which need to be solved as soon as possible. So that all the students should study properly and in a good way.

Still, there are lot of thing to change.
Placements: 70%-80% placed in this course. Starting salary goes around Rs. 29,000 and then it increases with time up to Rs. 90,000. In this course, the student can work at AIIMS and other state government medical hospitals and private hospitals either as a tutor in medical nursing college or nursing staff.
Infrastructure: Almost everything is available, but maintenance is very poor. The library is available. Food quality is moderate not so good not so bad. There is no sports facility here. If students want, they can join NCC. Skill labs, library, halls computer labs are available for study purposes.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are qualified. Since college is new, so the development of the college rate is very low. This pace will increase with time. This course is the toughest course since you have to completed 2-3 kg book per subject along with the 5 hours of clinical duty in the hospital.
Other: One can enjoy the hectic schedule along with the event going on in college. Enjoying the festival together is the best moment you can make with your friends. I chose to nurse because it is one of the most respected jobs in the world, but still, this course is not so popular in India.

It is the best place to do MBBS.
Placements: We know that in medical colleges, there is no need for placement since most of the students go for 3 paths. These paths are preparing for the PG entrance exam, Giving OPSC exam and becoming government doctors or taking up a job at a private nursing home or hospital. Internships are provided by the college and are compulsory to do.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the best in class and you will never be short of facilities. We have a huge library with Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Wi-Fi speed is good but the library remains closed on Sunday. Hostels are better than an average government college.
Faculty: The fee charges are minimal and the quality of education is exceptional. The total fees for total education are around Rs. 30,000. Teachers lack motivation but the practicals and internship experience of college are good. Learning from the professors at that point in time is joyful.
Other: Our college is located in the clean and calm place of Sambalpur Odisha.

It's one of the top-ranked colleges in eastern India, with great infrastructure and academics.
Placements: Almost 100% of the students got placements as doctors. Top courses include MBBS DMLT, PG, etc. The institutes' own hospital provides an internship scope. Each year 200 students are passed out from the institute. The college has a great reputation nationally. It is overall an amazing experience.
Infrastructure: Our college has a very good library, auditorium and lectures theatres. There are even basketball, football and volleyball courts and cricket is also encouraged here. Apart from the outdoors, there are indoor games too like badminton, table tennis, etc. Mess food differs hostel wise, but mostly, it serves North Indian and typical Odia cuisines.
Faculty: Teachers and non-teaching staff members are brilliant. The course is of 5.5 years, including internships. Skills you acquire are too worthy. Semester exams and board exams are tough, but you can cope up. The pass percentage in every exam is 50%.
Other: Campus life is excellent, and the union conducts many fests. It has its own fest called Euphoria, and the campus is surrounded by many natural beauties. Scholarships are also provided by the government through the application procedure.
