College should work more on placements and other extra curricular activities in college.
Placements: 1. Our department had signed an MOU with a placement company guaranteeing 100% placement for all of the student. However, less than 40% of students were placed. 2. The lowest salary: 96k per annum. The highest: 3.5L per annum average salary would be around 1.5LPA 3. Yokogawa limited was top recruiter. 4. Instrumentation engineer, control and piping engineer, project engineer were top roles offered. 5. The highest package was : 4LPA; the lowest: 96k PA; average: 1.5LPA 6. Our curriculum had a compulsory internship. So I can say everyone had an opportunity to do an internship.
Infrastructure: 1. Infrastructure is top-notch at this institution. Every kind of facility is available. There's access for Wi-Fi for students, projectors and interactive classrooms, a huge library as well as department libraries for the respective departments. 2. Hostel facilities are good for the first two years, however, the next 2 years were not that good. Mess and canteen facilities are good. However, the campus doesn't promote much of sports and extra curriculum activities.
Faculty: 1. Some of them were, just like every institution. The teaching quality was good. We had support and facilities from our college. 2. From my personal experience, I wouldn't say that our institution makes students industry ready the course curriculum is somewhat relevant.
Other: 1. I was interested in oil, gas fields and was excited by the opportunities these companies offer. That's what drove me to select this course 2. Better extracurricular activities, and better coaching. 3. These activities are not much encouraged by management.
