Strong Industry Focus and Supportive Faculty, Great Campus Life!
Placements: In the Computer Science course (Batch of 2023), 90% of students were placed. The highest package was ₹25 LPA, the lowest was ₹5 LPA, and the average was ₹10 LPA. Top recruiters included Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, and TCS. Seventy percent secured internships at IBM, with roles like Software Engineer, Data Analyst, and Systems Architect.
Infrastructure: The department has high-speed Wi-Fi, modern laboratories, spacious classrooms, and a well-resourced library. The hostels and mess provide comfortable accommodation. Medical facilities are on campus, along with various courts for games and a gym for a healthy and balanced student life.
Faculty: The quality of teachers is very high in standards, with knowledge and support. It is, therefore, excellent quality teaching along with a curriculum as per the realities of industries to help the students better face challenges in their careers. Semester exams are tough. The pass percentage is about 85%. It reflects strong academic standards, really meant to test comprehension and application.
Other: I chose B.Tech Computer Science for practical learning and industry relevance. The faculty support is great, and campus life is vibrant, with a number of events and extracurriculars. More industry partnerships and access to better resources could be improved. The campus is very well connected, peaceful, and perfect for studies and relaxation.

I would say that this college is suitable for those who are serious about their future .
Placements: I am actually a 3rd year CS student, and I can say that nearly 60% of my seniors are placed. The highest package was 20 Lacs per annum, the least was 2-3 LPA, and the average was 5-6 LPA. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, etc. were the top recruiters. Nearly 70% of students got internship opportunities. Most people who have the most knowledge in DSA get highly paid.
Infrastructure: Our college have great infrastructure with large libraries with 24/7 Wi-Fi facilities, and we also have large labs, not only technical but also labs based on other branches like ECE, EEE, etc. Our college contains many hostels with average food quality.
Faculty: The teachers who are teaching us are highly skilled, and some of them have done Ph.D.s in some subjects. In the 1st year of B.Tech, every branch has similar kinds of subjects, and from the 2nd year, every branch contains its own core subjects, which helps them for future placements.

Not So Great and Overhyped
Placements: In our college, Vishnu Institute of Technology, around 1000 students join under different streams. Among them, Computer Science and its associated branches like AI, AIML, and IT get higher preference. Other branches are not given enough importance. The percentage of students placed in our college is around 50% for the 2022-2024 batch. The highest package secured was 24 LPA through off-campus placements, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Accenture, Infosys, Tech Mahindra. Internships are not managed by the college; students apply individually, and the college does not assist in this process. Some of the top roles offered in our course are Full Stack Web Developer and Software Engineer. Overall, the college does not play a key role if you want a higher package of around 10 LPA or above. The faculty is also not that great, and you will have to learn the concepts by yourself. The college is somewhat overrated. There is a lot of ambiguity about the college placements. Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women, a nearby college, has better placements compared to ours. However, people often confuse their placements with ours, which is not correct. Overall rating for the college would be 5 out of 10.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course and hostel is top-class. The hostels for girls are excellent, whereas the boys' hostels are a bit unhygienic and unpleasant. The campus is beautiful, filled with trees and shrubs. The ambiance and facilities like the library, computer labs, and study areas are also top-notch. The food quality is average. There are a variety of items served, but most of them do not taste good. The college has a hospital where you can get medical aid, and an ambulance is also available. There is an RMP doctor on-site. No OP fees are charged except for medicine. There are various sporting events, and coaches for different sports are available to guide you. Overall rating for infrastructure would be 9 out of 10.
Faculty: The faculty of the college can be considered average. They hold valuable degrees, but their teaching style is somewhat old-fashioned. They do not explain concepts clearly. The course curriculum is not very relevant; you will be taught many subjects that are of no use in the industry. The semester exams are not very difficult; you can pass with a week of good preparation. The pass percentage is 40%. Overall rating for faculty, curriculum, and exams would be 5 out of 10.
Other: I personally chose this course because of my interest in computers. The best thing about the course is the degree, which provides an edge even with minimal skills. However, the course structure needs to be improved to match current trends and to make students industry-ready by the end of the course.

My opinion on my college's review.
Placements: At Vishnu Institute of Technology, there are good placement opportunities with a decent package, averaging between 4LPA to 5LPA. Companies also offer internships with stipends and roles in development, testing, and more.
Infrastructure: The college provides hostel facilities with a fee, offering good quality and quantity of food. Occasionally, adjustments in food might be necessary, but the rooms are well-maintained. Each room accommodates 5 members and undergoes daily cleaning, including the washrooms.
Faculty: The faculty here is highly experienced and proficient in teaching subjects. They motivate students and assist them in performing well in examinations, maintaining a minimum class pass percentage of 95%. Many instructors hold esteemed academic backgrounds such as Ph.D. and M.Tech.
Other: I opted for this course to fulfill my engineering aspirations due to the high job opportunities it offers. Vishnu Institute of Technology hosts numerous events, fests, and cultural activities. The college boasts a clean environment and excellent infrastructure.
