The worst college life I have ever imagined.

Placements: Around 10 to 20 percent of students proceed to further study. From the remaining 80 percent, almost 40-50 percent of students get placements ranging from 3 LPA to 10 LPA in my Electrical Engineering branch. The top recruiting companies are L&T, Torrent, etc. An individual has to find internships on their own in various companies.

Nice College, Canteen and Mess.

Placements: Placements in our College are more out of other branches in terms of placement opportunities, with a high percentage of Civil students securing core jobs. The maximum salary package for Civil students securing core jobs reaches 4 LPA in certain companies.

Power Electronics Branch's Review in Vishwakarma government engineering college.

Placements: The average placement of our branch is 3 LPA and the minimum package is 2.5 LPA. The highest package given was 4.4 LPA. Recently, only the company started to come to our college like Torrent and other electronics companies. Mindra, Torrent Power, Bharat Electronics Limited.

Good placements in 2024 and really good hostel.

Placements: The placements from our Vishwakarma College are around 52% successfully placed in companies such as IBM, Union, IFB, Panasonics and Capgemini for campus placement. The highest package offered by those companies is 17 LPA and the lowest package offered is 5 LPA. No internships are offered by the college.

Review of Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Ahmedabad.

Placements: VGEC is good for students of IT and CSE branches. In other departments, many students got admission locally with ST, SC or OBC, Domacile certificates.

Less fees and more facilities.

Placements: 10% students get placed. The highest package is 10 LPA and the lowest is 1 LPA. Suzuki and many other companies visit here. Most of the students get internship offers. Assistant engineer role is the major one.

It's good enough to take admission here after the 12th if you want a government engineering college.

Placements: In our college, there are very good placement opportunities. Our TPOs are very nice to students and invite many companies to our college for placements. For our electrical branch, Torrent Power and Hitachi companies visit here for placements. VGEC is good enough to invite good companies.

I am 60% satisfied with this college.

Placements: Placements of our college are average, but not so good. However, this will change. In other branches, I heard that placements are good. They got basic jobs, with a salary, which is worth less than Rs. 20,000 per month, which is very bad for an engineering student. There should be some big companies visiting for recruitment. Especially, there are jobs of navy, etc., where girls are not allowed.

We have good infrastructure, but the way of teaching is very bad. Placements are not satisfactory.

Placements: Placements in our college for the electrical engineering branch are very less. Only 8% of students got placed in the campus placements. Three students got placed in Torrent with a package of 3.5 LPA. Companies like Amrut energy, Torrent, Infosys, IMEG, Engineers India Pvt Ltd, TCS, etc., visited the college for placements. We have a placement cell in our college.

Thumb Down for VGEC. I would recommend some other college.

Placements: VGEC had good placements before a year or two. But still the companies such as Cybage, Tatva Soft recruit a few students. Nowadays most students are going for Masters abroad, so the placements are less compared to what it was before. There are no students involved in placement cell. Finding internship is a solo task, no help from college side will be provided.

Ill managed, needs strong mentoring programme.

Placements: Almost 50% of he students were successfully placed in various companies including TCS. Though the percentage usually varies, it's roughly an average of 50%. Many students opt for further studies abroad and hence they don't sit for the placements which I believe, is another reason it's only 50% and it can be higher.

If you want to waste your time, then go to this college.

Placements: The placements are very less, I may say 30%. There are no internships. If you want to study for free as it is a government college, then go for it else don't. The package offered by the company is also very less. You have to learn everything on your own. Few professors are good, but few are the worst.

The government college is the best for the real engineering.

Placements: There are no placements at all on the campus. We the students have to search jobs for ourselves. We are not dependent on the college for the jobs and all. There are no placements in the chemical engineering department because no faculty wants to do any work for the students.

Dissatisfied because of the placements.

Placements: There are no placements for 2018 batch, 0% placements. There are no internships. The placement cell is there, but not efficient. The placements are excellent in computer science and IT, but not in civil branches. No student placed in the year 2018. The college is good for computer science and information technology and also for EC.

Average as per educational overview.

Placements: As its a government college. Mostly you have to do so many things by your self only, though you will get the best guidance. As I am doing my Masters, so I don't know much about, how the students get placed after Bachelors, but at last time as co-ordination member I had organized one placement, and it went well. Many professors give their best for students.

It has a good infrastructure and faculty members, but the placement quality is poor.

Placements: There are placements for only computer and IT students. For the electrical branch, it has a negligible opportunity. Two or three companies visit to offer the placement of electrical field other than that there is no placement opportunity for Vishwakarma government engineering college students.

Expect less and do Self Study.!

Placements: The Civil Department was started in 2008, and the first batch came out in 2012, and due to this, there were almost none of the alumni of our department at the good position through which he/she can give the reference to our college. Placement companies not visited our department yet except 1 or 2 company previous year in which no one got selected, so in short civil department has no placement of our college. Other departments like IT and Computer have almost 20% placement, and the average packag...

Review of Vishwakarma Government Engineering College

Placements: Placements are not up to the mark. Only TCS and local companies of Ahmedabad come for placements. EC students can't get core companies from this institute. Overall, the placement was about 40% and I am not totally satisfied with the placements of the institute. The placement cell shall improve the placements in the college. New industries can be invited for placements. They can invite automobile companies like Ford, Maruti and Tata.

Not satisfied with any parameter.

Placements: Internship program did not happen in my college. In terms of final placement, 35% of our batch was placed with salary packages ranging from Rs. 2.2 lakhs to Rs. 5.0 lakhs, which was 5% lower than our seniors' batch. The overall sentiments for both the procedures in our college are very negative.
