E.g: you are in 2nd semester and you have a subject ’ABC’ in that semester which is also present in GATE syllabus, then learn it in that semester itself using standard textbooks . Do it every semester and in the end you just need to solve papers for a month or so, followed by Revision of subjects 2–3 times

If You’re in 2nd year then also the strategy is pretty much the same.You just need to add 1–2 subjects extra per semester.

If you’re in 3rd year.You’ll be bombarded with all the subjects you need to prepare in 2 years (Just kidding, 2 years are sufficient). Prepare a schedule and follow it.
