VIT Pune in a glimpse of an eye.
Placements: The placement scenario is decent, around 75% of students get placed. We need at least an 8 CGPA to sit for the placement. The highest package for CS is around 45 LPA and the average is around 7 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, and Accenture. I don't know much about internships as I am in the 1st year.
Infrastructure: We have great facilities like labs with Windows 11, Ubuntu, and new computers. Wi-Fi is in the labs. We have almost 3 libraries and around 7 well-maintained canteens. The libraries have all types of books. We do have an infirmary. For sports, we have a basketball court, badminton court, and cricket ground.
Faculty: The faculty is great; almost all are Ph.D. holders and a few of them are from IITs. They provide us with all the notes required for preparation for the semester exams. The exams are held every 6 months and are both written and project-based learning exams. The curriculum is almost up to industry level and the syllabus changes almost every 1-2 years.
Other: I chose VIT Pune because it's near my house and one of the best colleges in Pune with a great alumni network and peer group. My course, CS in IoT and Cybersecurity, I believe is something that will boom with the increase in the industry. We are going to have college fests in January, and I have high hopes for it. The campus is huge, and my school friends are also here, so I face no problem in making connections.

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune - A Home to Innovation and a Bright Future.
Placements: I have seen students getting salaries above 20 LPA, and most of us have an average salary around 12-15 LPA, which is a very good number according to the other colleges through CET. We have quality placements. Students placed are mostly from famous and top companies that everybody admires to be in. Internships are also in top companies. Companies like JP Morgan, Barclays, Mercedes Benz, Black Rock, Samsung, NVIDIA visit the college along with many more.
Infrastructure: Campus is a bit small, but the management here is excellent. Never felt uncomfortable with it. Student classes are planned in such a way that all of them are allowed classes whenever they need. Sports are not compromised; they are arranged outside in courts and grounds nearby. Sometimes students might find it hard to find a place to sit in the hill due to the huge intake.
Faculty: Following NEP, the new education policy applied by the government recently, innovative curricular. Project-based learning — we have forgotten mugging up useless formulas. Remember what is necessary, with emphasis on better application-based approach. Most of the obsolete subjects are removed, and subjects with industrial importance are introduced.
Other: Fests all through the year. Plenty of clubs for exposure to students.

Short review of My Big College Life .
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course is 89%, depending on the intake of the companies that came. The highest package was 50 LPA, and the lowest package was 3.4 LPA, and the average package was 11.24 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Microsoft, etc. The internships are provided by the college itself.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are decently good. And there are facilities available in the college itself. The hostel is 3.5 km away from the institute; that's why, due to the large distance and fewer transport facilities, many students have taken private PGs near the college.
Faculty: Teachers are just boring, but they are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also good. The curriculum is a little bit old and needs to be changed soon. The semester exams are not that difficult if you study well enough in class and attend all the lectures.

Extremely happy for choosing VIT Pune, with CSE-AIML specialization, best faculty.
Placements: I took direct second-year admission this year (2024) after completion of my Diploma. So, if one is willing to take direct second-year admission after a Diploma, one needs to score 92% and above for my course, B.Tech in CSE-AIML. The highest package for my branch last year was 20 LPA, and the average package was around 7-8 LPA. For Computer Science and Engineering, the highest package was 51 LPA, and for the rest of the departments, like IT and other specializations, most of the students got 8 LPA and above. Multiple companies visit the campus, like Adobe, Amazon, Barclays, Citi. Most of the students start getting internships by the start of the 6th semester. From my domain, 75% of students are doing internships in their 3rd year only in top organizations like Barclays and Citi.
Infrastructure: There are well-equipped labs and classrooms. A projector is available in almost every classroom. The library is well-maintained and has a huge collection of both technical and non-technical books. Talking about the hostel, it is quite far from the college, but there are multiple living options available near the college at affordable prices.
Faculty: The teachers are well-experienced and knowledgeable. They have all the knowledge related to the field. I love the curriculum at VIT as it is project-centric learning, where they focus on building practical skills in students rather than theoretical stuff. For every course/subject, there is one project and one major project for each semester. These projects really help improve practical skills and can be added to the resume. For the semester exams, theory papers are fewer, with more focus on practical exams, viva, and project presentations, which enhances students' capabilities to face physical interviews.
Other: As I completed my Diploma in Information Technology, my CS fundamentals were clear, so I thought to explore CS in-depth. There are multiple specializations available at VIT under CSE, but my interest is in Machine Learning, so I chose CSE with AIML.

My Honest Review on VIT Pune.
Placements: Approximately 90% of the whole Bibewadi campus are placed among their various branches. According to me, the highest and the lowest average package of this institute was approximately 40 lakh per annum and 4 lakh per annum, and the average is 10 lakh per annum. Many companies like Google, Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Wipro visited the campus and came for students for placements and training. Approximately 76% of students got their internships from branches like Computer, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, ENT, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, etc., in companies like PayPal, Razorpay, Infosys.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are so good. Facilities like the library, reading hall, projectors in each classroom, and Wi-Fi network are there in labs in good condition and working. The quality of the facilities in VIT hostel is too nice for students, including the hostel food. In this institute, there are 3-4 canteens for students, and the food quality is so good. Medical facilities, clubs, events, sports, and games are too nice. Even students can lift their happiness by participating in them. Clubs and events make students more socially active and reliable in every situation.
Faculty: Faculty members are from top educational universities and institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, Harvard University, etc. The teaching quality is very nice, and they make students more joyful and attainable while teaching. Courses like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, ENT, Core Computer, IoT, etc., are relevant. They really make students industry-ready through many skills and efficient training. From an exam point of view, exams and mock tests are not so tough if you do academics with discipline and consistency.
Other: I chose Computer Science and Engineering in AI/ML, and the specialty of this course is that it itself contains curiosity to always learn something new. It is also the generation of AI tools and many more tasks. Extracurricular activities are carried out on a daily basis throughout the academics. Scholarship opportunities are also there, and regarding clubs and events, they will give you more future connections and various certificates through participation.

Satisfied with the curriculum; dissatisfied with placements and infrastructure.
Placements: There are ongoing placements, and the college informs people that the average placements for this year (2023–24) are near about 12LPA, but what I found is that there is a little bit of a placement issue in our college. Companies are refusing to come to our college because of their past experience of 2 years as students who studied online at their college, so they don't have any basic knowledge of DSA or OS-like subjects. And by asking seniors, I found that one placement was in 52 LPA, which is also an off-campus placement. There were 124 students placed this year out of 300–400 students in the computer department, so it's about 41-43% of students placed this year. Ongoing internships might well have been handled; coding exams were going on for the past 3–4 days. Nearly 60–70% of internships are taken by students on campus.
Infrastructure: Our college takes the fees of 1,95,000 Rs of open category students and 1,10,000 Rs of OBC students, and as compared to that, our college infrastructure is not good at that level. There are 10 departments in our college, excluding 1st year, and only 4 buildings have 10 departments. There is such a small ground that even we can't play cricket out there. There is no stage; only on any occasion do they build up their stage. But I like the water facility, as their water cooler is on every floor of each building. Wi-Fi is limited; if we are out of the range of Wi-Fi, we don't get it, even if we are sitting in our lab or class. Wi-Fi is a major problem at our college, and because of that, we have to use our own network. There is no college hostel provided by the college; we have to stay in a room or in any other private hostel. The campus is very small, and the surrounding area is not so good.
Faculty: As compared to other colleges or any other university like SPPU, our syllabus is very well structured, which trains students to gain presentation knowledge and skill up their presentation skills, English skills, teamwork skills, and socializing skills with other students. The syllabus is great, which is useful to students for their future; there are not any useless subjects. If you are in the IT department, other colleges still teach them chemistry and physics, which is useless to them, but in our college, that curriculum is very well structured and has a great syllabus to acquire all the knowledge. There are excellent coding clubs in college that provide additional knowledge in other domains, as well as a student club that assists the elderly, cleans up society, and volunteers at major festivals in Pune.
Other: Likewise, as I said, there were problems related to placements in the past two years because of online college. Now colleges are working on their students, like taking their mock interviews and coding tests, so students will be able to take internships and placements.
