B.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2028

College with best facilities and knowledge.
Placements: More than 90% of people got placement. The highest package was 42 Lacs per annum, the lowest was 6 Lacs. In electronics and telecommunication engineering. The most required companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and several startups. Some startup companies have offered internships, and you can even get a placement there.
Infrastructure: 1. They have a great classroom with the availability of a projector and mics. 2. They have great Wi-Fi and a great library with an excellent book collection. 3. Hostels are quite good but the mess is not that good I will give 5/3 to mess food. 4. But apart from that great cleaning, security and management. 5. There are 2 vast canteens with a good menu.
Faculty: 1. Teachers are best here. They are very helpful to students and also, talented in their subjects. 2. College offers not only subject knowledge but also they have great projects, and assignments, which are helpful for placement. 3. The exams are quite difficult, but it is easy to achieve if you constantly work hard. The average percent is like 6 CGPA.
Other: 1. I am happy to learn about software and hardware. 2. I think more placement and career opportunities should be provided. 3. I think college has best in their clubs, events and other activities which you will never be able to forget. 4. I also even want to mention about vit senior as they are most cool seniors, I have ever seen in any college.

Excellent Crowd and Highly Qualified Teachers.
Placements: Around 75-80% students were placed during the academic year 2023-24. The highest package was 50 LPA, the average package is around 10-11 LPA, and the lowest package was around 3.5 LPA offered by mass recruiters, which is quite good compared to other Maharashtra State colleges.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, the faculty is quite good, and the most important thing, the crowd is full of toppers, as this is the third most preferred college after College of Engineering, Pune, and Pune Institute of Computer Technology. Overall, good review.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and conduct Google and Zoom meets regularly because they are highly qualified. The course curriculum is relevant, of course, because they've completely removed Physics and Chemistry from the entire 1st year (i.e., 1st and 2nd semesters both).
Other: The clubs here are awesome and are one of a kind, with an excellent crowd, to be honest!

Short review of My Big College Life .
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course is 89%, depending on the intake of the companies that came. The highest package was 50 LPA, and the lowest package was 3.4 LPA, and the average package was 11.24 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Microsoft, etc. The internships are provided by the college itself.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are decently good. And there are facilities available in the college itself. The hostel is 3.5 km away from the institute; that's why, due to the large distance and fewer transport facilities, many students have taken private PGs near the college.
Faculty: Teachers are just boring, but they are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also good. The curriculum is a little bit old and needs to be changed soon. The semester exams are not that difficult if you study well enough in class and attend all the lectures.

Good Placement, Clubs, and Decent Faculty. Loved it.
Placements: Since I am in the mechanical branch, fewer students are placed, as the majority of students prefer to do Masters abroad, such as in Germany. The highest for mechanical was 14 LPA and the lowest was somewhere around 6 LPA. Generally, most students got the internship, as there is a compulsory internship provided to students in their fourth year of graduation. To be specific about the roles offered, they were majorly on the industrial side.
Infrastructure: As for my mechanical department, there are specific workshops available on the campus, which are well-equipped with the machines required. There is also a CAD lab for learning AutoCAD and other mechanical software. Talking about Wi-Fi, it's decent—not so fast but manageable. The classrooms are good; they could have been better if attached with AC. The library is also full of all the books required in academics. Talking about the college hostel, it's pretty expensive, and the food they offer is decent, can’t say it’s good. Well, there are 3 canteens in the college which offer various food, shakes, drinks, and some of the food is pretty good and tasty. Talking about sports, you will get a club for the majority of sports, and they also have the equipment needed to play.
Faculty: Here in my batch, I found most of the teachers helpful and supportive, as they helped us in our projects, assignments, and told us where we were going wrong. The teachers are highly qualified, having more than 15 years of experience, and many of them have written research papers. I find the course to be relevant, and they have also added subjects like reasoning and general proficiency to make students better and have nice social skills. Talking about the exams, I would say they are moderate; if you study well, you will definitely score good. Just don’t keep it for the last moment.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering over other branches as I had very little interest in coding, so I dropped the idea of joining software branches. I also had an interest in designing and cars, therefore I chose mechanical. I wish there were more practical knowledge and the faculty could be improved. Yes, the college has many fests going on throughout the year, and you will find an event every month. Events like Vishwautsav, Vishwakarndak are the main events. Talking about the crowd, it's decent, and the seniors here are very helpful and loving. Connectivity is good, you get bus transportation available to transport in the city. The campus is a bit small but manageable. Joining various clubs would be an option for extracurricular activities. You will learn more here.

Really good infrastructure and papers are too easy but area is a little bit crowded.
Placements: This year, around 80 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 60 LPA. The average is 12 LPA. Top recruiters are Infosys, TCS, etc. Almost all students get internships at the college in 3rd years. The highest placement rate in Pune is by VIT itself, so don't worry about placements. The top roles offered are software engineer, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Excellent infrastructure with Wi-Fi. Labs are so good. Sports grounds are also good. Classrooms are excellent, like IIT classrooms. In fact, we have Mac Lab, which is so good. Clubs in college are very good, which helps to develop personality. The canteen has variety but not so good food.
Faculty: Teachers are very good with helping nature. Semester is too easy don't stress about any exam. Some teachers are not well but the syllabus is too easy and very nice. Generally, it is impossible to fail in this college. Good college in Maharashtra. Yes, the college makes students ready for interview and industry .
Other: If you get this college, you should definitely come because it is much more beneficial than others.

Satisfied with the curriculum; dissatisfied with placements and infrastructure.
Placements: There are ongoing placements, and the college informs people that the average placements for this year (2023–24) are near about 12LPA, but what I found is that there is a little bit of a placement issue in our college. Companies are refusing to come to our college because of their past experience of 2 years as students who studied online at their college, so they don't have any basic knowledge of DSA or OS-like subjects. And by asking seniors, I found that one placement was in 52 LPA, which is also an off-campus placement. There were 124 students placed this year out of 300–400 students in the computer department, so it's about 41-43% of students placed this year. Ongoing internships might well have been handled; coding exams were going on for the past 3–4 days. Nearly 60–70% of internships are taken by students on campus.
Infrastructure: Our college takes the fees of 1,95,000 Rs of open category students and 1,10,000 Rs of OBC students, and as compared to that, our college infrastructure is not good at that level. There are 10 departments in our college, excluding 1st year, and only 4 buildings have 10 departments. There is such a small ground that even we can't play cricket out there. There is no stage; only on any occasion do they build up their stage. But I like the water facility, as their water cooler is on every floor of each building. Wi-Fi is limited; if we are out of the range of Wi-Fi, we don't get it, even if we are sitting in our lab or class. Wi-Fi is a major problem at our college, and because of that, we have to use our own network. There is no college hostel provided by the college; we have to stay in a room or in any other private hostel. The campus is very small, and the surrounding area is not so good.
Faculty: As compared to other colleges or any other university like SPPU, our syllabus is very well structured, which trains students to gain presentation knowledge and skill up their presentation skills, English skills, teamwork skills, and socializing skills with other students. The syllabus is great, which is useful to students for their future; there are not any useless subjects. If you are in the IT department, other colleges still teach them chemistry and physics, which is useless to them, but in our college, that curriculum is very well structured and has a great syllabus to acquire all the knowledge. There are excellent coding clubs in college that provide additional knowledge in other domains, as well as a student club that assists the elderly, cleans up society, and volunteers at major festivals in Pune.
Other: Likewise, as I said, there were problems related to placements in the past two years because of online college. Now colleges are working on their students, like taking their mock interviews and coding tests, so students will be able to take internships and placements.
