It is good for education, but bad for the other activities.

Placements: The placements of the production department are the worse. From the previous batch, only 4 to 5 students got placed out of 50 students. The placement percentage of our department is less than 10%. The people in our department don't even bother to sit during the interviews in the college placement.

Good placements happen here.

Placements: Placement in this college is good. At least 50% students are placed every year. The average salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month. Some students also got placed in Amazon, Barclay's, getting a good salary of Rs. 1-2 lacs per month. Till date, the highest salary offered is Rs. 20,00,000 per annum. The lowest salary is in the range of Rs. 15,000 per month.

Good placements for B.Tech, not for M.Tech.

Placements: Many classmates were unplaced. Many students had to accept offers from IT companies as core companies were not allowing M.Tech students. Placement department is very, very arrogant. They treat us like beggars when we go to ask for placement. If you missed some deadline for registration to TNP department, they make you write front page of any newspaper as a punishment. This is very childish.

Comparatively, a good college from the state level perspective.

Placements: Placements for mechanical engineering department is average but the placement for computer science, electronics and IT has been very good from the last two years. For the mechanical department, companies like Mercedes and for the non-tech departments, John Deere, Kirloskar, Caterpillar, Eaton, Bridgestone, etc. visit for recruitment. For computer, big giants like Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Avaya, and many more Pune based companies come with an average package of almost 7-8 lakhs and for the mechanic...

Not so good infrastructure and a fine faculty team.

Placements: The placements are pretty good. Last year, more than 80% appeared students got placed. The maximum package offered was 25.7 LPA by Amazon and the average package was about 4.5 LPA. About 20 companies visited the campus every year including 3-4 dream companies.

A must skip for M.Tech students.

Placements: In VIT, there are no placement records for M.Tech students of heat power engineering. I have personally gone through the track records of 3 years and to my astonishment, no placements have taken place in such a renowned college in Pune. A few internships are offered by few companies like Kalyani Studios, Whirlpool, etc. for one year. Internship companies provide a stipend of 5 thousand and not a penny more than that. So, students looking for a good job after M.Tech should skip this college for s...

College has very good facility. Quality of teacher and course is very poor. Very less practical knowledge. Though the quality of student coming is very good. They can do lot better with the money they get from donation and fee. Most people decide to go for PG or Public services because they get lot of free time to study since exam are very easy and predictable. Still this college us better than most of the colleges in Pune. I would recommend this college if anyone wants to study in Pune.

The college provided good return on investment. But as in 2015 the college has started to operate in shifts to accommodate more students. The fees also have been hiked substantially, so can’t comment on the return on investment aspect. Faculty:- In 2010, we had average/descent faculty. Same should be continuing now. But some of the Comp Sci profs are really good. Campus Area: Extremely small area. But the campus is well utilised in the small area provided. Students:- One reason to choose this c...

The only reason to join this college was the autonomy. The placements are great and the faculty members are very nice too but the infrastructure is very poor and the college premises too is very dull and there no hostel facility available in the college and the college crowd is very low standard and no parking space is available in the college.

Superb! The college offers a healthy 85-90% placements overall with most of the remaining opting out of placements as they wish to pursue higher studies. Forbes Marshall, Fiat, Tata motors, Infosys are some of the major recruiters, with average package being around Rs. 4 lac. Computers, Electronics & E&TC record the best placements with many students getting multiple job offers as well. Salaries as high as 10 lakh per year have also been offered to a few. Canteen is very okay, and the students ...

VIT is the best private autonomous institute in the state. I am a B.Tech from ENTC branch and I cannot imagine a better curriculum for the course. The concept of continuous learning is an epitome of how learning should be imbibed in engineering syllabus. The program is flexible with a lot of options for choosing the courses you like. The placements are not good for this branch, but for Computer branch this would be the best place. Very poor placements for rest of the branches. Faculty is dedicat...

Pros: VIT is one of the better colleges in Pune University. Being autonomous college, it is more dynamic and transparent in terms of academics, project work and extracurricular activities. Professors and educational infrastructure are excellent. Campus life is good as you will get to interact with best brains around the region. Cons: Extracurricular facilities are almost none. (Even parking is a big issue). Placements are hyped out big time. They are good but not excellent. There are hardly any...

It is one of the best colleges in Pune after COEP.

Placements: VIT, Pune is one of the best colleges in Pune for placements. Out of every 100 students, around 80 to 85 students get placed in different companies. The highest salary package offered in 2020 was 12 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The average salary package offered in VIT is around 6 LPA-7 LPA. Many students get placed in different companies like Infosys, TCS, etc. In 2016, two students of our college got placed in Amazon and Facebook.

If you have less marks, this college is good for you, but other colleges can be better than VIT.

Placements: In our college, placements are very good. If you present yourself in a good manner, you can get campus placements, but only in the IT sector. There are very little chances to get placed in the core domain, like in ENTC and mechanical branch-related companies. TPO of our college is Kartik Subramanyam, and a T&P cell is available just beside the auditorium.

The college provided good placements in 2015 and good faculty members.

Placements: There are about 70% placements in our college. The average salary package offered to a student is about 3.5 LPA. About 120 companies are supposed to visit our college for placements. The percentage of students get internships are good, and the roles offered are worth it. Microsoft also visited the college in 2012 for placements.
