Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya

Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya has well stocked Library, Hostel, Hospital / Medical Facilities, Sports Complex, Lab and Gym facility for its students. Hostel has both Boys Hostel with 5 Rooms with 21 Beds and Girls Hostel with 15 Rooms with 60 Beds. The Institute provides separate hostel for girls and boys which has well furnished room with all the necessary facilities like health center medical services, security guards and more for the students. The library has 23,012 approx volumes of books purchased from the Grants received from the State Govt., the Director of Public Instruction (D.P.I.) and the University Grants Commission (U.G.C.). Apart from this there are books donated by Kumar Chandra Smriti Raksha Samiti, Sovarani Library, the District Magistrate,and many other distinguished persons. On the other hand, there are few collections provided by the Students’ Union namely Book Bank which enrich the total collection of the Central Library for the benefit of the poor students. The central library with all its sections is computerized. Cataloguing and OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) are done through computers. The SOUL (Software for University Libraries) is installed in this respect. Its a registered member of N-LIST (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content) of INFLIBNET (An Autonomous Inter-University Centre of U.G.C.) which provides valuable e-resources like e-books, e-Journals., etc. through its network. It provides e-books in CD/ DVD version.
