The college is more academic-oriented than extracurricular activities.

Placements: From the past two to three years of recession, the placements everywhere decreased gradually but since this year, the placements at VNIT Nagpur College are slightly getting better and better as compared to past years. The placement percentage of students is, however, less but the average package is good.

It is really a bad decision to take admission here. Faculty are the worst, not cooperative.

Placements: My batch is not passed out yet. Once it is done, I will update soon. But previous batch. Placement was not satisfactory. It's really hard to score an 8 CGPA. The highest package was around 27 Lacs, and the percentage of placed students is really very low. Thank you.

I would recommend students to pursue master's degree in this college.

Placements: Placements were very good. Almost 90% of students got placed in this course. Top recruiting companies visited our college for recruitment. The highest salary package offered was 16 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA.

It is the best college for students.

Placements: The college had a 100% placement record. The college's placement committee was very hardworking. They were aware of the interest of students participating in the placement drive. This helped us a lot and guided us during the college placement rounds. More than 65 companies visited our campus during the placement drive of the college. The highest salary package was around 25 LPA and the average salary package was around 12 LPA. Companies like Google, Microsoft, and Samsung Bangalore visited the c...

It is a prestigious college with poor placements.

Placements: In the year 2020, around 67 students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 13 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruits were Bajaj Auto, L&T, Tata, and Tech Mahindra. Few students got internships. In CSE and mechanical branches, the salary packages offered are good than most of the colleges in Maharashtra. The placement percentage was 60%.

I am unsatisfied because of online mode but overall it is a good college.

Placements: Don't know about the current placement stats due to online and I take admission in the college last year only so can't comment over the placement stats. But according to professor, you will get internship easily if you dedicate your time to studies. Also one senior told me that we can ask professor of the college for the internship under his.

I am dissatisfied and disappointed with the college.

Placements: Placements at VNIT are below average not only in the civil engineering department but overall as well. Being a national level college it is expected that the placements would be good, but when compared to other NITs the placements here are worse than the lower NITs. The highest salary package offered in civil engineering in the year 2021 was 10.8 LPA, and the average salary package offered was around 5 LPA - 6 LPA, with only 37% of the students getting placed. I am dissatisfied because of faculty members.

Placements: There are not many opportunities for placements for mathematics students. Students need a minimum of 8 CGPA for placements. The highest salary package offered by Paytm is 9 LPA. Maths students compete with computer science students in placements.

Campus life here is the best.

Placements: Approximately 50-60 students out of 80 got placed from the 2020 batch. About 40 students were of the IT sector, 6 are from core, and 4 are from management. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA and the average salary package offered is 7 LPA. The top recruiting company is BrahMos Aerospace. An average of 45% of the students got internships in various companies like John Deere, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, etc.

Dissatisfied with faculty, curriculum, on the other hand, placements are decent.

Placements: About 60% of the students got placed in Mechanical. The highest package in core was around 10lakhs per annum while the lowest would be around 4. An average of 6lpa. Top recruiting companies are ExxonMobil and Bajaj auto. 30% got internships on campus in Thermax, Lnt, learn corp. , atlas copco etc. Top roles-Rnd, systems eng.

Architecture study should be more of a practical study rather than designing on computer.

Placements: Last year 2 out of 60 students were placed. There are no companies to place students. We need to work as an intern in a firm. Internships are mainly 80%. Placements are not guaranteed for architecture since it depends on our time invested in internships.

Placements: Top recruiting company is Atlas. The highest package in this college for this course is 9 Lacs per annum and average package is 6.5 Lacs. The lowest package is 3.5 Lacs. Around 40% students got internship and to the best of my knowledge, 75% are placed.

Satisfied with the college because of its faculty.

Placements: Placements were good for our seniors, especially in computer science, mechanical and electrical branches. There is a placement cell in our college, and many seminars were conducted to improve the communication skills of students. The placement cell is efficient and useful.

VNIT Nagpur - Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology is a good college.

Placements: The placement rate of our batch is only 58%, and it's not up to the mark for an NIT. Here due to the poor performance of the students of our previous batches, we are facing difficulty in getting jobs. Placement rates of other branches are more than that of our branch. But the ranking of this branch is higher, i.e., cut off of JEE exam is more for this branch.

A very mediocre department and cold management.

Placements: No companies have visited the campus for PG students. Even though we have visited CGPU numerous times with lists of HRs' phone numbers, the treatment was cold and curt. Internships for PG students in the chemical engineering department were frowned upon by the advisory.

Great campus. Outdated curriculum. Decent placement opportunities. Infrastructure limiting to women.

Placements: The placements for core jobs is poor. IT jobs are plenty in nature. The placement process is transparent. Nearly 60 percent is placed. There is no proper orientation for placements. The companies sought are fewer. Mostly students work towards placement process there could be specific employees hired for conducting placements.

The college is good for placements and research if you are interested in doing engineering.

Placements: The placements at VNIT are good because mostly PSU's visit here also the core companies get to the campus, and therefore, it is good. Some branches like mining, chemical, metallurgical, and materials engineering are more focused towards research, and therefore, the placements are less, but many of the students are interested in good universities abroad or IISC's.

The pros and cons of Visvesvaraya National Institute of technology.

Placements: The placements in this college are average. The average CTC offered in any branch other than the computer science, and electronics is roughly 4.5-5 LPA. There are a few big companies like Hero and Deloitte that come to hire, but the maximum gives an offer of 7 LPA(CTC). The college barely provides the internships that too only to a few students mainly in the computer science branch.

If you think, just having NIT in the name will assure you of everything being good, you're wrong.

Placements: In the mining engineering they're good, but in the alternate years, computer science also had good placements. But in the chemical and the metallurgy, the placements are not good until this year. Generally, civil ke placements acche nahi hote. In other branches, if you study hard, you'll get good placements for sure. Architecture main placements toh hote hi nahi hai bhai.
