Review of Walchand Institute of Technology.

Placements: From the 6th semester, students are able to participate in placement drives. 70% of students get placements from college, and the remaining go for business. The highest package for last year was 12 LPA, and the minimum was 4-5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra and Mahindra, and Atlas come for placement drives.

It is a good college with good teachers and average placements.

Placements: I am a 2014 passed out batch student. About 40% of the students were placed from our course, and most of the students didn't get placed. The highest salary package offered here was 3.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. Top companies which visit here for placements were Infosys, Persistent and Amdocs. About 2% of the students did internships in TCS and Persistent. The top role offered here is a software developer.

It is the best college in Solpaur.

Placements: Our college provides limited placements, and it doesn't provide internships. The average salary package offered in on-campus placements is up to 3 LPA. Infosys and Cognizant are some of the companies which participate in campus recruitment. Less students were placed from our batch, and I also got placed.

Overall, our college is good for students who want to get ready for the future.

Placements: Around 70-75% of the students from our course got placed. The lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. Infosys and TCS are the top recruiters for our college. The highest salary package offered was 12.5 LPA. Internships are offered if you perform perfectly in your course.

Good but there is always a space to improve.

Placements: The placements are okay but more and more opportunities should be given to students. There should be such teaching and training system available for the students so that it will help them to apply their academic knowledge in their career and there must be more practical sessions for students to apply their knowledge.

It is an average college.

Placements: Not even a single company for core branch visited this year. Although there was a stream of companies for software, those were not even too good for placements. Students are forced to sit for any company like financial of BPO.

Go anywhere or do a B.Com, but don't come here.

Placements: The recruiters like Tata, Infosys, and a few other companies, which provide a package of more than 3 LPA, and the other small companies visit, which pay Rs.15,000 per month package. The placement division is a shame as they can't manage to get companies to the college, and the students are even forced to appear for the interviews in a door to door marketing companies and call centre jobs. So, around 30-40% of the students get a good job.

Good college for those who want to learn and work hard.

Placements: The placements offered are decent, and if you maintain good academics, then there are chances that you will get placed. Most of the recruits are IT companies, and the only handful of companies come for the core domain. The highest package offered in 2015 was 4 lacs per annum from Tata technologies.

The college has the good faculty members and average placements.

Placements: The placements are the basic criteria that we always keep in mind while selecting a college. I am in the third year right now. No company has come yet for our batch. But our seniors are almost placed which is up to 60-70%. The average package offered to the students was 3 lacs per annum.

I feel in Solapur city, this is the best campus.

Placements: The placements are the best here. Big MNCs like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Tata Technologies, etc., visit every year. Till now, the placement record is 60%. The highest salary offered is of Rs. 4 LPA. There is also a placement cell which handles placements every year. It is very useful, and TPO offers good services.

Good for teaching, but the management and placements are very less.

Placements: The placements are good, but not enough for the competition to the other colleges. At the time of batch 2017, 20 to 30% of the students got selected for a company only in CSE department. They are providing opportunities for placements, but not taking any responsibility to place more students.

Good study, backward mentality.

Placements: Average placements but the higher level companies do not come because there is no high-level scope. Companies like Infosys come here and pick approx. 200 students but this year, this did not happen. Only 2 students are placed. So if you want to study then it's a great option but it you want a job, choose something better than this.

This college is good for production and manufacturing but, weak in design and thermal related subjects. They don't teach you software’s or subjects like ESA, FEM, and CFD. So one complete field of interest is missed out I.e. the analysis part, wind tunnel experiments, and the crash test part.

The college has good infrastructure and supportive faculty members who give practical knowledge and not just bookish knowledge. Placement cell does not work and one needs to search for off campus jobs. Civil and Mechanical department are far better than other departments.

The college was good. The faculty was good, they helped us to clarify the concepts. The college provides motivation for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. I expected more campus placements than existing and more outcome in the form of placements.

WIT is best college bin Solapur University. If you are sincere in your study, then WIT is right choice. You will get a good placement. Talking about faculty in ECE department, I will give only 2 stars, there are only 1 or 2 professor are good, and other are not. Talking about placement you will get job mostly in service based company. There are very few companies which are coming for development.

Some recent management decisions has made college awful. Principal doesn't seems to care about students. Regular increase in fees has made college less worth. Some good decisions by management which are in favour of students can make positive changes. In recent years Qualitative faculty has dropped up to a great extent. TPO's are taking less/no efforts for students. In recent 5 years fees have hiked almost up to 200%, which is incompatible with the quality education.
