I am satisfied with its good placements, infrastructure, and transportation facilitated location.
Placements: Around 35% of our department students were placed at good firms by placements recruiting. Our seniors got a higher percentage of recruitment, most of them were placed at good companies like Wipro, Byju's, etc. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA by Byju's Byju's before 2 years, and the lowest salary pacakge offered was 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Bajaj, Mahindra, Byju's, Axis, Wipro, etc. In mechanical engineering, opportunities were wide from aerospace to the oilfield. Most mechanical engineers were recruited in oilfields and manufacturing fields.
Infrastructure: The mechanical department had good infrastructure as well as facilities, cad laboratories, fluid machinery laboratories, thermal engineering laboratories, lathe, CNC laboratories, etc. Our college was NAC accredited, there was no free Wi-Fi, but had a library with a good internet connection, and the biggest library. For every department, there were 4 smart classrooms. Good and very knowledgeable faculty members were the best part, the mess was good but not reliable, in sports and games, students placed in the top 10 from the district for almost 5 years.
Faculty: Faculty members were good, they were strict and knowledgeable professors. A handful of teachers were mastered from IITS and NITS. Their way of teaching was good but for practical work sessions. Theory-based teaching was very good and perfect but practice-based was not good there for students from this type of curriculum was not good for industrial ready. Exams were very difficult to pass only one with hardworking could only pass. Only there 12% to 35% pass percentage.
Other: Firstly only known department with good opportunities was mechanical on the admission they gave students a brochure explaining wide range scopes in mechanical, but not close. Due to covid cases, students only had fewer events and the fest campus atmosphere was good, and mostly friendly atmosphere providing scholarships for poor students.

This college is a waste of your time and money.
Placements: Placements in the college are not that good. The average percentage of placements was around 10%. The highest salary package offered was around Rs. 10,000 to 25,000 per month. The college doesn't provide any internship opportunities. Only 3 companies have visited our college, and they were not at all efficient. We did an internship on our own during our studies, and that was also an off-campus internship.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't provide any Wi-Fi facility. Medical facilities were provided. The library was good; we used to refer books from there, and we passed only due to our hard work. I was a day scholar, so I didn't choose the hostel accommodation. The infrastructure of the college is very poor. I won't recommend any of my juniors to join this college.
Faculty: I did B.Tech in mechanical engineering from Younus College of Engineering and Technology, Kollam. Faculty members were poor in quality as well as in communication. They don't have enough knowledge and idea about their teaching methodology. B.Tech graduates used to take classes for us. Only 4 teachers were M.Tech graduates. The college doesn't provide any industry exposure. We only took initiative towards it and found internships. I have worked for 4 multinational companies. During my initial period of work, I was not even knowing the basics of engineering just because I wasted my 4 years in this college.
Other: The college doesn't have a proper agenda for events also. Extracurricular activities were the plus point I can say.

Overall, my campus life was precious.
Placements: About 50% of students got placed. The highest package is about 40–50k per month. Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, etc. are the top recruiters. 60% of students got internships. There are no such specific roles other than those in the teaching field, technical field and other service fields.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are about an average but some of them are good and skilled. I am hardworking in my department. Labs are kind of old and aged equipment. I hope they fix it. There are many Wi-Fi and non-Wi-Fi classroom departments, etc. Our canteen is not bad, and the food is also good. And for games there is cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are good and knowledge-rich. Their teaching is also good. The curriculum is not very valuable but it is valuable if our results are good( above 9 CGPA). The semester exams are highly appreciated; they help a lot in facing the major exams and gaining internals.
Other: In the B.Tech. course, students can apply to any kind of job. That's the major advantage. I prefer going abroad. B.Tech is kind of full of theory above experience. So I prefer some changes in getting experience, like the Polytechnic students.

Really good ambience for the students to study.
Placements: There is a placement cell working in the campus, but the placement cell is not capable of bringing MNCs. They are only giving placements only in marketing jobs and BPOs, and are not able to provide placements in technical fields. Only a few students got the placement and most of them gave up those placements because of poor salaries.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructures. It contains well-cleaned and hygienic classrooms and well-equipped lab facilities available. Almost all machines are available for the labs and workshops. The mechanical workshop even has the CNC machines for the CNC lab. The college has a great playing ground. There is a shady canteen which is surrounded by trees and it is the main attraction of the campus. The library has the best facilities having almost books and also have the O.P.A.Q. facility for searching the books via a computer. Hostel rooms are of hygienic and with good facilities. The food served in the hostel needs improvements. Finally, the campus has no free Wi-Fi facilities.
Faculty: The faculty members are knowledgeable and all of them have post graduation degrees. Many of them are doing PhD and so, their knowledge level is high. Most of them are sincere with the work. But some civil department faculty members are not good in their behaviour and they show their pride and impose unnecessary fines upon the students. All other departments are alright. The best faculty members are been with the mechanical engineering department. The curriculum was good. As a part of the course curriculum, we got the best industrial visits.
Other: The college has a good atmosphere for studying. The principal and management are often strict with discipline. The college has bus facilities to the nearby routes. The college promotes Arts and technical events in the name of SAMYOGA. The college has the organisations of NSS, ISTE and IEEE in which each organises various student-empowering programs. The college is under the trust Fathima Memorial Trust founded by the chairman Younus Kunju.

Review of Younus College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Regular campus placements are ongoing on our campus, and they would take students who are interested in campus placement interviews. 60% of the students get placed through the placement drives conducted by the institution. Almost 2 to 3 LPA is provided.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure around my college is great and also gives a great vibe around the college campus, but due to the recent decline in engineering students, you won't be getting the same as before. The labs in our college are well-maintained and clean. There is Wi-Fi around the college campus, and yearly programs are also conducted in our campus with celebrities. There is football, cricket, volleyball, tennis.
Faculty: Here we follow the Kerala Technological University, which is well known around India. The teachers are very helpful and well-qualified and also well-supportive. The course curriculum is well-updated, making the students industry-ready. The exams are a little bit difficult.
Other: I have been there for almost 4 years and I will be passing out in a few months. I had a wonderful college experience there but almost missed 3 semesters because of corona and I had online classes. I almost wish I had a little more time to spend there and all those beautiful memories I made there. I wish all who are joining there have a great time there.
