CEED Exam Centre 2025 - IIT Bombay has released the list of exam cities for CEED 2025 at the time of release of the exam notification.

The national-level exam will be conducted in 27 cities across India

The candidate can select CEED 2025 exam centres when filling out the CEED application form.

You can select a maximum of THREE exam centres in the order of priority

The name of the CEEED 2025 exam centre, including the name and address, and reporting time, and other key details will be mentioned on the CEED 2025 admit card.

The CEED 2025 exam will be conducted on January 19, 2025 (9 am - 12 noon). 

Candidates appearing in the CEED exam must reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the CEED admit card

Q:   Has IIT Bombay released the list of exam centres for CEED 2025?

A:

The list of CEED 2025 exam centres will be released by IIT Bombay. The list will be given in the CEED 2025 information brochure.

The candidate can download the brochure at ceed.iitb.ac.in.

The CEED 2025 exam will be conducted across 27 cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Mysuru, Nagpur, Noida, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Visakhapatnam.

Q:   Where can I check the details of the CEED 2025 exam centre allocated to me?

A:

The name and address of the exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the admit card. So, after downloading the CEED 2025 admit card, the candidate needs to carefully go through the details. Note that the admit card will also contain exam-centre reporting time, along with exam timings.

On the day of the exam, the candidate needs to reach the exam centre as per the reporting time. Note that late comers may not be allowed inside the exam hall.

Q:   In how many cities will the CEED 2025 exam be conducted?

A:

IIT Bombay will conduct the CEED 2025 exam in 27 cities. Note that each of these cities may have one or more exam centres. However, when filling out the CEED 2025 application form, the candidate only needs to select an exam city. In fact, it is mandatory to select THREE exam cities in the order of priority.

Test cities for CEED 2025 have been released. The CEED exam will be conducted in 25 test cities mentioned below.

Q:   Can I change the CEED 2025 exam centre allocated to me?

A:

Note that once an exam centre has been allocated, there is no scope to change it. In fact, CEED officials will not entertain any requests for a change in the exam centre. 

The details of the exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the CEED 2025 admit card. The allotment of CEED 2025 exam centre will done on the basis of the exam city seelcted by the candidate. Exam officials will also consider other factors like the address of the candidate and seat intake available in various exam centres in that particular city.

Q:   Can a CEED 2025 exam city be dropped from the final list?

A:

IIT Bombay will release the exam cities for CEED 2025. The list can be found in the CEED 2025 Information Brochure. In the previous edition, the design entrance exam was held in 27 cities.

Note that exam officials have the authority to drop a city in some cases.

“If a sufficient number of candidates are unavailable in a city, that city may be dropped from the final list, and candidates will be allotted to a city of their second or third choice.”

Q:   How many exam centres can I select when applying for CEED 2025?

A:

The application form for CEED 2025 will OPEN soon.

When filling out the form, the candidate should compulsorily choose THREE cities in the order of preference. 

Please note that there is no option to select an exam centre when filling out the form; the candidate can only select an exam city. The allotment of exam centre, in this case, will be based on a number of factors like city option selected by the candidate, address, and seat intake available across various exam centres.

Also, an exam city will have one or more exam centres.

CEED Exam Day Guidelines 2025

Candidates appearing in CEED 2025 are advised to go through the exam day instructions mentioned on the admit card carefully. Candidates are advised on the items and documents that they can carry inside the examination hall below. 

What to carry on CEED exam day?

Since part B of CEED is a subjective test, candidates have to carry stationery like pencils, sketch pens, poster colours and other drawing materials to the exam centre. Apart from this, candidates need to ensure that they carry the documents mentioned below positively to their CEED test centre.

  • CEED Admit Card: Candidates need to carry a coloured printout of CEED admit card to the exam centre. The admit card is needed to record the biometric information of candidates at the centre.
  • ID Proof: Candidates need to carry a valid and original photo ID proof to their CEED exam centre. Documents that can be presented as an ID proof include college issued identity card, passport, driving license, PAN card, Voter ID or Aadhaar card.       
  • Stationary: Candidates must carry their own stationary items such as pens, pencils, sketch pens and colours

What not to carry on CEED exam day?

Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic gadget such as mobile phone, calculator, smart/digital watch inside the exam hall. Use of any electronic gadget during the exam could disqualify a candidate, as per the official website. Candidates are also not allowed to carry any drawing sheet.

Q:   At what time do I need to report for CEED 2025?

A:

CEED Exam Date and Timings: 9 am - 12 noon.

The exam will be conducted around the 3rd week of Janaury 2025.

On the day of the exam, the candidate must report at the exam centre at 7 am. The reporting time will also be mentioned on the admit card.

When reporting for the exam, the candidate must bring with them a valid photo ID proof and the admit card. Note that exam officials will record the biometric information (thumb impression and photograph) of the candidate before they are allowed entry inside the exam centre.

Q:   What kind of stationery items I should carry to CEED 2025 exam centre?

A:

The candidate will not be provided with any stationery at the exam venue. So, it is incumbent the candidates themselves bring these essential stationery items with them.

Here are the basic minimum stationery items needed to take the CEED 2025 exam.

  • Pens

  • Pencils

  • Sketch pens 

  • Colours for the examination

However, note that sheets are not allowed inside the exam hall.

Q:   What are the acceptable identity proofs for CEED 2025 exam?

A:

On the day of the CEED 2025 exam, the candidate must bring with them the admit card and a valid photo ID proof.

The following documents will be considered as a valid ID:

  • College issued identity card

  • Passport

  • Driving license

  • PAN card, Voter ID

  • Aadhar card or printed e-Aadhar card

Note that without a valid ID proof, the candidate will not be allowed entry inside the exam hall. 

IIT Bombay will conduct the CEED 2025 exam around the 3rd week of January 2025 (9 am - 12 noon).

FAQs on CEED Exam Centre 2025

Q:   Will there be a baggage counter at the CEED exam centre?

A:

IIT Bombay is unlikely to make any provision for depositing bags at the CEED exam centre. Or, in other words there will be no baggage counters at the CEED 2025 exam venue. 

So, the candidates are advised to carry only the essential items mentioned in the CEED exam-day guidelines, such as their CEED admit card, a photo ID proof, and stationery items.

Please note that electronic items, including mobile phones, are not allowed inside the examination hall. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid carrying any unnecessary items to the exam centre to avoid any inconvenience or disqualification.

Q:   Will IIT Bombay release the detailed list of exam centres for CEED 2025?

IIT Bombay will not release the detailed list of CEED 2025 exam centres. It has, however, released the list of exam cities where the CEED 2025 exam will be conducted.

The name of the exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the CEED 2025 admit card.

The allotment of exam centres will be done based on the exam city selected by the candidate, address of the candidate, exam centres avaiable in the seelcted cities and also seat intake.

Q:   What are CEED 2025 exam day guidelines?

A:

Regarding the CEED 2025 exam day guidelines, here are some important points to keep in mind:

  1. Candidates are advised to reach the exam center well before the scheduled time of the exam.

  2. Only one examination hall will be allotted to each candidate, and the candidate must present the admit card and a valid ID proof at the entrance of the exam hall.

  3. No electronic devices, including mobile phones, calculators, and smartwatches, will be allowed inside the exam hall.

  4. Candidates are not allowed to bring any materials or documents, other than the admit card and photo ID, into the exam hall.

  5. The exam will be conducted in English, and candidates must answer the questions in English only.

  6. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the scheduled time, and any form of communication with the outside world will be considered a violation of the rules.

  7. Candidates are advised to take their seats before the start of the exam, and to follow all the instructions given by the invigilators.

  8. The exam will be conducted in two parts - Part A and Part B. Candidates must qualify Part A, or else their Part B answer booklets will not be evaluated.

  9. The exam pattern for Part A is computer-based, and the exam pattern for Part B is offline-based.

Q:   Am I allowed to carry electronic gadgets inside the CEED 2025 exam hall?

A:

The candidate is not allowed to carry any electronic gadgets inside the exam hall. Here is a list of items that you must not bring to the exam hall.

  • mobile phones

  • Calculators

  • smart or digital watches, etc.

Any candidate found in possession of these items will be disqualified.

Q:   How can I find my sitting arrangement in the CEED 2025 exam centre?

A:

The seating arrangement for CEED 2025 will be likely be displayed on the notice board of the examination centre. So, when you arrive at the exam centre, look for the notice board and check the room number allocated against your roll number.

If you are not able to find the sitting arrangement or the room allocated to you, contact the security or exam officials present there.

Further, it is recommended that the candidate arrives at the exam centre as per the reporting time (7 am). Because, getting late can only build anxiety and stress, which is not conducive when appearing in an entrance exam like CEED 2025.

IIT Roorkee doesn't offer PhD in Design course through CEED. It only offers a MDes in Industrial Design.
 
Admission to the M.Des program will be based on CEED 2025 merit rank. The candidate will have to apply directly to the participating college once results are declared.

  • NAT (Numerical Answer Type): 8 questions
  • MSQ (Multiple Select Question): 10 questions
  • MCQ (Multiple Choice Question): 26 questions

 The CEED score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result. This means you can use CEED 2025 scores for admission in the current academic session only. You can't use for admission in the next year.
