Admission criteria for MDes at the NIFT, Kannur, the candidates should have passed B. Des or any other graduate degree in a relevant discipline. 

NIFT Kannur accepts NIFT Entrance Exam scores for admission to the M.Des courses. During NIFT Kannur cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank stood at 326 for the General All India category students. So, conidering the 2023 cutoff, candidates seeking admission to NIFT Kannur must secure over and above 300 rank to be eligible for M.Des admission. However, please note that the cutoff ranks for the upcoming session may not be the same as previous year cutoff ranks, as they can vary based on various factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and so on. 

For MDes admission, a candidate should complete and passed a bachelor's degree programme from a recognised university in the relevant stream. The candidate should hold the valid degree and mark sheets as well. These documents can be required for submission during form filling or admission confirmation for details verification.

NIFT Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 5 for various categories. During the Round 5 cutoff, the closing ranks ranged between 226 and 2374 wherein BDes in Fashion Communication turned out as the toughest course to get into National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kannur for the students belonging to the General AI category students. Students need to secure a valid score in order to confirm their admission at the institute. 

The application process for NIFT 2024 will be conducted online. After completing the application process, inclduing payment of fees, the candidate must download a printout of the application form.

NIFT Kannur is a government institute. The NIFT 2024 application form is expected to commence in November 2023. Meanwhile, the written exams - GAT and CAT - are expected to be conducted in the 1st week of February 2024.

The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) will conduct the Situation Test for the B. Des programme tentatively in the 4th week of April 2023. The Situation Test will be held offline at various NIFT campuses. The candidate is given the option to select their preferred test centre soon after declaration of NIFT written exam results. On the day of the exam, the candidate needs to report at the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the admit card. Note that candidates who arrive at the exam centre after commencement of the exam will not be allowed entry inside the exam hall.
