I really enjoy listening to music and playing badminton. I am very interested in computer, technologies and software. I try completing several projects on topics like Web Development, Machine Learning, and Data Structures and Algorithms. These are the fields that interests me and I truly enjoy working on these.

Igniting a Love for IT

My college journey started pretty boring. I did not like my course in first year as the course curriculum included subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. But, second year onwards, we started learning about Information Technology, which basically consists of various technologies like AI, DBMS, Computer Networks, and all the skills in trend. I fell in love with my course. Faculties at Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur are immensely qualified in teaching the subjects.

College Journey at Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur

Let me talk about my college days. I usually hang out with some friends during lunch break. We sit in the lab, eat lunch, and gossip about everything. When the classes are going on in laboratories, I love to pay attention in class so that I do not have to study the subject at home. It is easier to listen in class than to find tutorials and books later. I think I am growing quite well in college. I am learning new things daily, doing more and more projects and utilising my time better.

My course, IT, is so vast and interesting. Technology is evolving rapidly nowadays , so it is  best to get familiarised  with the technologies instead of complaining. I love doing coding on the LeetCode as a part of my daily activity. I try to solve one problem per day. Some days it is easy, on the other days, it is hard.

This helps me get sharper with my programming skills and enables me to pay attention to the details. If anyone is interested in learning about Computers, Information Technology is a great way to learn all the different things. I am really passionate about my course. I want to dig deeper into the subjects once I graduate and want to learn everything. Thanks to Alan Turing, we are so advanced now.

I want to get into freelancing, hopping from one company to another. I want to learn different things in the future. I do not want to do the same work over and over again. I will try to utilise my time learning about different technologies. I wish to enjoy my life in the future and not overwork.

And at last, I want to tell all the future aspirants, believe in yourself. You can do it just like millions of others did it in the past. Do not be too hard on yourselves; no one is perfect. You will learn from your mistakes. You can also visit Shikha.com anytime for any doubt.
