IIT Kharagpur: Apply for online course on data analytics

IIT Kharagpur has asked for application for an online course on Data Analytics with R Programming. The course will be conducted for 30 hours over a period of 8 weeks. Mostly it will be conducted over the weekends. As per the course brochure, for gaining competitive advantage through data-driven decision making, managers should be able to marry raw data with business acumen. The online course will be conducted by Dr. Swagato Chatterjee (Assistant Professor, IITKGP, BTech, IITKGP; PhD, IIMB) and industry experts from the analytics domain.

Eligibility criteria for the IIT Kharagpur online course?

The course is aimed at both students and professionals. Nevertheless, mid-level managers working in any domain of business, business analytics enthusiasts, and BTech and MBA students can apply for it. According to the official website of IIT Kharagpur, attendees of the online programme would need an incessant high-speed internet connection and a laptop or desktop with R and RStudio Installed, preferably Windows laptops or Macbooks. Some of the aspects of Data Analytics, which will be covered in the course are descriptive analytics, predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, introduction to analytics, applications in marketing among others.

First of all, candidates will be required to register with the website and get their email address verified. After this, they will get access to log in, fill up profile details, select the course from the dashboard and then apply.
