If given a chance, I would like to conduct activities in the college like seminars, debates and group discussions more often to encourage people to speak up and get rid of their stage fear.

I always had a keen interest in Mathematics since my schooling and so I decided to take up MPC in my intermediate.

Like everyone else, I wanted to pursue undergraduation from a National Institute. To be more precise, I wanted to complete my undergraduation from Delhi University.  However, life doesn’t always happen the way we visualize it to be. Due to some personal reasons, I couldn’t score well in my class XII. I thought my dreams were over and  I can never get into a good college. But, I had to move on.  Just then, I started doing some research about colleges with the help of Shiksha. I got to know about different colleges, their reviews, facilities, etc. Then, I made a list of institutions in and around Hyderabad in which I had good chances of getting the admission. That’s when I came across Vardhaman College of Engineering. I liked how the campus vibes were very peaceful since it was located away from the city crowd. I had a strong feeling that I would fit in well here.

Initially, I cracked EAMCET and got a rank which allowed me to get admission in few colleges. However, I wasn’t really fascinated with the campus vibes and environment of those colleges. I went through the Shiksha website to gather information about some fine colleges that I had a chance of getting an admission into. From my research, I made a list of colleges based on college reputation, infrastructure, faculty, hostel facilities, hygiene of food, sports arena and ultimately found that Vardhaman College of Engineering is the perfect one for me. Generally, the first thing that anyone sees while applying for a college is its placements. However, my main objective wasn’t about getting into a job. It was more about learning and getting a degree so that I can do my masters right after graduation.

I reach college around 8:30 am every day. The classes start at 9:00 am, giving me about a half an hour to hang out with my friends while having breakfast.

Vardhaman really encourages students to get involved in some or the other activities so that we can discover ourselves gradually by understanding our interests.

I take part in cricket matches conducted in the college.

During my 3 years in Vardhaman, I have observed that a lot of people face stage fear. In fact, I used to be one of them. Step by step, I have overcome this fear by participating in various vocal activities in and out of college. However, I feel the college should realize that there are a good number of people who are looking forward to the opportunities to triumph over their shyness. If given a chance, I would like to conduct activities in the college like seminars, debates and group discussions more often to encourage people to speak up and get rid of their stage fear.
