Mystory@Viraj Patil

When I was in Class 11, one of my relatives told me about Chemical Engineering and its scope. As I was good in Chemistry, I decided to opt for it and my relative helped me in gather all the information about it. My relative gave me all the information and told not to worry about the scope in future. This branch will really gave me a platform to work in production companies which was my dream.

How I cracked college admission

I appeared for JEE Mains and scored well. The cut-offs were high at that time but since I had scored about 90 percentile, I got admission in the first round only.

I was trying my best for Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai as well as the IITs. Other famous colleges in Maharashtra like VIT Pune, MIT Pune, Sinhgad Institutes, Pune and Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur were also on my list but I wanted to join a government college, as that would benefit me in future.

Then my seniors told me about Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere. They told me all about the college; its infrastructure, faculty, placements, etc. After analysing pros and cons, I decided to join this college.

I am the sports co-ordinator of my class as well as the co-ordinator of technical committee

My college life

My college is best for my branch and life is very cool here. The classes are of only four hours including practicals. Lots of extra-curricular activities are conducted here like annual fest, annual sports event, TED event, tech event etc. I like to participate in sports like Cricket, Kho Kho, Volley-Ball and other such games.

I attend all the classes as 75% attendance is compulsory here. In the remaining time, i play table tennis or hangout either in the canteen or in the computer lab. Sometimes, when I get too bored of classes I bunk. Some professors too are boring.

I am the sports co-ordinater of my class as well as the co-ordinater of technical committee for Tech Fest Management.

If given a chance I would like to organise a welfare event in which legends of various field will guide the students and teach them how to tackle difficult situations in respective fields.

I don’t think my college contributes in my personality development. NCC, NSS and sports activities help very less personality development. Nothing interesting is conducted in my college which could help me improve myself.
