What is CGET?

CGET is an abbreviation of the C V Raman Global University Entrance Test. It is conducted to provide admission to various programs such as BTech (regular and lateral entry), MTech, MBA, MSc, BBA, BCA, MCA, PG Diploma programs, PhD, etc. CGET is an online test, which comprises 60 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer fetches four marks whereas one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

CGET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must know that only eligible candidates will be able to fill out the CGET 2025 application form. Candidates can check the CGET 2025 eligibility criteria below to apply for the CGET 2025;

Stream

Eligibility Criteria

Diploma Program

(UG and PG)

For 1st Semister:  Candidates must have passed HSC/10th exam from a recognised board or university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
For 3rd Semester (Lateral Entry): Candidates must have passed +2 Science exam from a recognised board or university or 02 years ITI in engineering trade with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

BTech (4 years)

Pass in Class 12 with 60% marks (throughout) along with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

For Marine Engineering: Pass in Class 12 or equivalent with 60% in PCM and 50% in English (in Class 10 & 12)

Age must not exceed 21 years as of July 31st of the admission year.

BTech lateral entry

Pass in Diploma with min. 45% (40% for reserved category) in any branch of engineering and technology

Pass in BSc with min. 45% (40% for reserved category) and should have studied Mathematics in Class 12

Students belonging to B.Sc. stream, seeking admission in Mechanical Engineering, shall be required to clear the subjects Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering MEchanics of the First Year Engineering Programmed along with second year subjects.

Also, students belonging to B.Sc. stream shall be considered admission only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with regular students belonging to the diploma stream. 

Pass in DVoc stream in the same or allied sector

In the above cases, a suitable bridge Courses, if required such as in Mathematics may be conducted.

For Marine Engineering: Must have passed first year Mechanical Engg of four years B.Tech Program with 60% marks in aggregate (with 50% marks in English either at 10th or B.Tech) or

Must have passed first year of Mechanical Engg of four years B.Tech Program with 60% marks in aggregate (with 50% marks in English either at 10th or B.Tech)

Age should not be more than 25 years

MBA (2 years)

Must have passed Bachelor degree of minimum three years duration. Obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate. (45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).

MTech (2 years)

Must have passed bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field with minimum 60% marks in the qualifying exam

GATE qualified candidates need not to sit in the entrance examination. They have to submit their documents through the admission portal for direct admission counselling process.

Must have passed M.Sc. degree in relevant discipline with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

BBA

Must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board or university in any stream with minimum 60% marks in aggregate

BCA

Must have passed Class 12 (any stream with Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics/Diploma Engg) from a recognised board or university in any stream with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

MCA

Must be graduate (any stream with Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics/BCA) from a recognised board or university in any stream with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

B.Sc. in Tourism & Hospitality Administration

 

Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board or university in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

B.Sc. in Agriculture

Candidates must have passed Class 12 in Science from any recognised board or university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
Qualifying subjects: Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as subjects.

MSc

Must have passed bachelor degree (with Honors) in relevant field with at least 60% marks in aggregate

Candidates applying in M.Sc. in Biotechnology must have passed graduation with honours in Biotechnology, Botany or Zoology with 60% marks in aggregate.

MA (English)

Must have passed bachelor degree (with Honors) in relevant field with at least 55% marks in aggregate

Master in Hotel Management

 

Passed bachelor degree of minimum 3 years duration in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate

D.Pharm

Must have passed Class 12 with Science from a recognised board or university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics as subjects.

B.Pharm

Must have passed Class 12 with Science from a recognised board or university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics as subjects.

Research Programme

Ph.D

Post graduate degree in relevant discipline with 55% of marks or equivalent grade.
4 years/8 semesters bachelor degree in relevant discipline with 75% or equivalent grade.
A relaxation of 5 marks or its equivalent grade will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.

NOTE: Candidates who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 both from NIOS are not eligible for admission to any programme of CGU-Odisha.

 

CGET 2025 Application Process

The CGET 2025 Application form will be available online on the official website. Candidates must know that they need to fill out separate CGET application forms for each phase of the CGET 2025 Exam. Candidates must complete the application process before the Last date for CGET Application Form 2025 submission. The CGET application procedure comprises various stages like registration, filling out the application form, uploading a photo and signature, fee payment and final submission. Candidates should fill the application form with correct details only otherwise their applications will be liable for rejection. 

Steps For Filling out the CGET 2025 Application Form

Candidates can check the detailed process to fill out the CGET 2025 application form;

  • A fresh candidate needs to complete the New Registration 
  • After completing the Registration process, Candidates need to log in through the generated credentials, to fill out the application form
  • Candidates will need to fill in the required details such as personal information, academic information, category details and more.
  • Once all the details are filled and verified, candidate will need to upload the Phtotgrapg and signature.
  • Once All the details,s are filled in and the documents are uploaded, Candidates will need to pay the required fees & submit the CGET 2025 Application form.
  • Candidates should also take the printout of the CGET 2025 Application form for future reference.

Some Important points to remember

Candidates must know that they have to present the category certificate mentioned in the CGET 2025 information brochure during the document verification process to prove their eligibility to avail the facility of Category reservation.

  • Candidates will not be able to change the category later in the application form.
  • Candidates must fill out only one CGET application form 2025 for each candidate.
  • After submission of the CGET application form 2025, options cannot be changed at a later stage.
  • If a candidate will not submit the original certificates, mark sheets, or other necessary documents at the time of document verification or if one has filled the form incorrectly then the claim for admission will be rejected.
  • Also, admission may be canceled at any time, if certificates/mark sheets/other documents are found to be forged or manipulated.
  • The facility of submission of CGET application form will be closed on the last day of filling up online application form submission. Therefore, candidates are required to complete the process within the prescribed duration.

CGET 2025 Exam Pattern

Candidates must have enough information about the CGET 2025 Exam pattern to make efficient time management during preparation. Candidates can have a good understanding of CGET 2025 such as a number of questions, time allotted, type of questions, and various other details through the exam pattern. In the CGET 2025 exam pattern, a total of 60 multiple-choice questions were asked in each hour of the examination. 

CGET 2025 Syllabus

Having a good understanding of the CGET 2025 syllabus really helps in preparation and scoring good marks in the CGET 2025 examination. Candidates must complete each part of the syllabus for in-depth knowledge and better scores. The CGET 2025 syllabus will include subjects such as Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. The level of questions will be similar to class11th and 12th NCERT. 

CGET 2025 Admit Card

The C V Raman University will release the admit card for CGET 2025 a few days before the examination. Candidates will be able to download the CGET 2025 Admit card from the official website. Candidates will need their login ID and password to download the CGET admit card. Candidates will need to download separate CGET admit cards for different phases. Candidates must bring the CGET 2025 admit card else they will not be permitted to sit in the examination. The admit card comprises important details like the candidate's name, roll number, date of birth, exam date, exam venue, etc.

CGET 2025 Result

The exam conducting authority releases the CGET results in few days after the completion of the examination. Candidates will be able to check the CGET 2025 result online. They will need their login details to check their result. After the declaration of the result, successful candidates will be called to complete the admission procedure.

CGET 2025 Counselling

Candidates must know that only successful candidates who have cleared the cut-offs will be able to participate in the CGET 2025 counselling process. Candidates will also need to fill out the fresh application form for the CGET 2025 counselling process. Candidates have to appear in CGET counselling 2025 to complete various formalities registration, choice filling, choice locking, document verification, admission fee payment, etc. Candidates who will successfully compelete these stages will be issued admission order to report to the allotted college.
