How to Prepare for SRMJEEE 2025: The SRMJEEE 2024 exam will be held in online proctored mode. The details of the SRMJEEE 2025 exam will be announced by the end of this year. The aspirants of the SRM BTech admissions 2025-26, can check here how to prepare for the SRMJEEE 2025 online proctored test held at the national level. SRMJEEE 2025 preparation starts with understanding the SRMJEEE exam pattern and knowing the complete SRMJEEE syllabus. Once the candidates are acquainted with the syllabus and pattern, the next step is to know the nature of the exam and how to strategise the preparation accordingly. To prepare for the SRMJEEE 2025 exam, candidates have to prepare 10+2 level Maths/Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English along with Aptitude.

SRMJEEE exam is held twice a year, as per 2024-25 admission session. However, SRMIST can change the frequency. Thus, candidates must prepare for SRMJEEE 2025 along with their class 12 board exam.

If I am preparing for JEE exam, do I need to prepare separately for SRMJEEE?
The JEE exam is widely considered one of the toughest in the field of engineering. Its syllabus covers all topics from both classes 11th and 12th. However, preparing for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced also adequately prepares you for SRMJEEE, with the exception that SRMJEEE may have some additional topics. Approximately 9 lakh students who do not qualify for JEE Advanced can still prepare effectively for SRMJEEE by ensuring they cover the entire SRMJEEE syllabus and practice previous years' question papers. This approach not only familiarises them with the types of questions asked but also ensures thorough preparation for the exam, which is generally considered easier than JEE Mains. Additionally, solving multiple-choice questions (MCQs) during preparation helps in building confidence and readiness for any exam situation.

Q:   How can I prepare using SRMJEEE syllabus?

A:
Here are some tips to prepare for SRMJEEE: 1. Understand the syllabus: Familiarize yourself with the complete syllabus and exam pattern of SRMJEEE. 2. Create a study schedule: Plan your study schedule effectively, giving ample time to each subject and topic. 3. Practice previous years' question papers: Solve previous years' question papers to get an idea of the exam pattern and practice answering questions within the given time frame. 4. Take mock tests: Take online mock tests to assess your preparation level and identify areas where you need improvement. 5. Seek clarification: If you have any doubts or difficulties in understanding any topic, seek help from your teachers, classmates, or online resources. 6. Revise regularly: Regular revision is crucial to retain what you have learned and reinforce your understanding of different topics. 7. Stay updated: Stay updated with Current Affairs and the latest developments in the subjects of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. 8. Stay calm and focused: Maintain a positive attitude, manage your time effectively during the exam, and stay focused on the questions.

Q:   How can I crack SRMJEEE in 3 months?

A:
SRMJEEE is actually not a very tough exam when compared to JEE Mains, BITSAT, etc., but that doesn't mean things can be taken for granted either, particularly taking into consideration the heavy competition that there is for such exams. So, read further to gain an insight on the little you could do to crack this little nut of an exam with a really good rank. First of all, take a look at the syllabus that is given to you in the SRM prospectus. Most of it would be the same as your class 11th and 12th PCM syllabus. If you are a CBSE student, you will find that they are exactly the same topics as in the NCERTs. Next, try to gain a good conceptual understanding of the same and then work out certain numerical problems in each of the topics in Physics and Chemistry (if any) and selected problems in Maths. Just so as to revise the concepts (try to concentrate on the areas you had trouble gaining clarity during the boards and work to clear them). Try solving the sample papers provided in the prospectus or the website, if time permits. If you are already undergoing some sort of coaching for the JEE Mains, I believe this should not be hard for you and you would perhaps be accustomed to tougher papers. After you have done all this (if you have done half of all that I have mentioned above, this exam is still going to be a calk walk), just keep calm and take your exam. Mind you, there is negative marking in SRMJEEE, unlike the VIT entrance test.

Q:   Which exam has a higher level of competition, SRMJEEE or UPSEE?

A:
Both SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination) and UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) are highly competitive exams, and the level of competition may vary depending on various factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of available seats. In general, SRMJEEE is considered to be more competitive than UPSEE due to the high number of candidates appearing for the exam from all over India. SRMJEEE is conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology, which is a prestigious deemed university with a high reputation for engineering education. The exam attracts a large number of candidates from all over the country who are looking to secure admission to the top engineering courses offered by the institute. UPSEE, on the other hand, is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh. While UPSEE also attracts a large number of candidates, the level of competition may be slightly lower than SRMJEEE due to the limited number of seats available in colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Overall, both exams are highly competitive, and candidates are advised to prepare well and stay updated with the latest exam trends to secure a good rank and admission to their desired course.

Make a Plan

After noting down the syllabus, another major thing to do is ‘Make a Plan’. It is very essential to formulate a plan. It makes it easier to study with the help of a plan and remember what you have studied. The aspiring students can keep a check on how much of the syllabus they have covered. This will help them further to estimate their time for revision and practice.

Make Your Basic Fundamentals Strong

Making your foundation strong must be your priority. If your fundamentals are strong then you can easily solve any questions. Be thorough with the NCERT Books, and Class Notes first.

Make Short Notes or Flash Cards

While preparing or remembering any topic, write down the important points and formulas. Doing this will help you at the time of revising the topics.

Solve Mock Tests and Previous Years’ Question Papers

To become familiar with the exam pattern, the candidates can practice the mock tests as well as the question papers from previous years. It will help the students to see how much time they take to solve the paper. The candidates can assess their scores and guess as to how much preparation they have done. In case, any student doesn’t perform well in the SRMJEEE mock tests, we advise them to not worry. If the candidates begin the preparation early and solve mock tests, they will be able to correct their mistakes. Moreover, they will have enough time for revision as well.

Taking Online mock tests also helps in improving your accuracy in attempting the questions. Therefore, we advise you to take regular mock tests to check your performance.

Q:   How can I crack SRMJEEE in 1 month?

A:
SRMJEEE is not so hard to crack with respect to JEE Mains and VITEEE. Here is the strategy needed to crack this exam: 1. The candidates should be well versed in the exam pattern, if you are appearing for the online examination then prepare yourself with online mock tests. On the other hand if you're taking the offline exam then go through the pattern used in previous exams. 2. SRM JEEE gives importance to testing the numerical abilities of students. Candidates should focus on this area during revisions. 3. The exam has a cut-off for all four subjects, so the candidates should give time for revision to all four sections. 4. With just one month to go, attempt mock tests. These help you revise and learn time management at the same time. 5. Do take breaks in between. Studying continuously lowers concentration levels and regular breaks would help you study with a fresh mind. 6. Decide how much time you will allot to each section in the exam, and practice the sample papers accordingly. 7. To save time during the exam, use the process of elimination, i.e., rule out the improbable options first, this will help you arrive on the correct answer faster.
