UPESEAT 2025 Counselling: Check dates, Fees & procedure

A credit system is applicable for the candidates to take admission through distance education mode and it describes the educationalprogrammeby allotting specific time to a particular subject. University of Petroleum and Energy Studies will commence the UPESEAT counselling in online mode. Applicants who will be declared qualified in result will be called for the UPESEAT counselling. The exam authorities will release the UPESEAT counselling schedule a few days after the declaration of result.  

UPES re-registration means that when existing students are promoted to higher semesters, they have to re-register at the beginning of a session, and it is termed as re-registration. Re-registration to the higher semester is mandatory to become eligible to appear for the university examination for existing students. University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude TesT is managed by UPES, Dehradun. This is the university-level examination and is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programmes in several disciplines.

No, a candidate cannot apply for more than one course at a time at UPES University. Applicants can pursue only one course at a time at UPES. UPES fills eighty percent of the seats based on the UPESEAT merit list, and the remaining twenty percent of the seats are filled based on the JEE Main result and the Board result. Further, candidates from Uttarakhand will have to show their domicile certificate to claim the seat reservation.

Candidates can check below the several steps that comprise UPESEAT counselling.

• First stage, a candidate has to complete UPES BTech counselling registration by filling up the required details. 
• After successful registration, a candidate will get the call for participation in the counselling based on the merit list. 
• Now, the candidates will have to report the counselling venue of UPESEAT on the prescribed date and time. 
• Carry all the required documents in original as well as xerox copy at the counselling venue for verification. 
• Post document verification, candidates will have to give the preference of the courses for admission. 
• Candidates will get the seat according to his/her merit. 
• Once, the UPESEAT seat allotment is done, candidates will have to make payment of the tuition fee and other fees for the completion of the admission process. 

 The fee, once paid by a candidate, is non-refundable. Applicants are advised to pay the admission fee only after confirmation of the program. UPESEAT counselling is based on a centralised system of counselling. Candidates will be called for participation in the counselling of UPESEAT in the sequence of rank obtained by them. Applicants should reach the UPESEAT counselling venue on the allotted date and time. Candidates are advised to carry all the important documents to the UPESEAT counselling venue for verification. UPES counselling comprises various stages such as registration, filling out the college preferences, document verification, seat allotment, fee payment, etc.

Candidates should carry all the required documents for verification at the time of UPES counselling. Failing in presenting any of the required document may lead to the cancellation of candidature. Candidates should carry a set of photocopies of all the documents to submit it to the admission authorities. The list of documents required for UPESEAT counselling is mentioned below:

• UPESEAT counselling call letter. 
• UPESEAT admit card 
• Admit card of the qualifying exam. 
• UPESEAT result or scorecard of the qualifying exam. 
• Recent passport size photograph (four). 
• Caste category certificate (if applicable). 
• Domicile certificate (if applicable). 
• A Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘UPES Fee Account’ payable at Dehradun as the first-semester fee. 

• Visit the UPESEAT official website - upes.ac.in. 
• Now, the login page will open in a new tab. 
• Enter application number and password in the given space. 
• Submit the details. 
• UPESEAT result will appear on the screen. 
• Check the details printed on it. 
• Take the printout of it and keep it safe for further use.

Candidates need to visit the official website of the UPESEAT and click on “Book Exam Slot, ”, login using their email ID and password, and book their preferred exam date, time, and exam city.
