IBPS Application Form 2024: The Institute of Banking Pesonnel Selection (IBPS) closed the window to fill IBPS PO and SO application forms on August 28, 2024. The application process for IBPS Clerk closed on July 28, 2024. IBPS RRB application form 2024 was available from June 7 to 30, 2024. The application process various IBPS exams are online. The application fees for the various exams of IBPS exam such as PO, Clerk, RRB and SO are INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PwD. Before filling out the application, candidates should check the eligibility criteria prescribed for various posts. Q:   What is the application fee for the IBPS RRB exam?

A:

The application fee for IBPS RRB exam is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Applicants need to pay the application fee online only. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. After final submission, an additional page of the online application form is displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details. If the online transaction is not successfully completed then candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the application fees/intimation charges online. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt is generated. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form
containing fee details.

Q:   Is it a problem if the date of passing entered on the IBPS PO application form is slightly different from the real one?

A:

It is generally not advisable to provide false or misleading information on any official application form, including the IBPS PO application form. If the date of passing entered on the form is different from the real one, it could potentially be considered as providing false information and could lead to disqualification from the application process. Applicants must cross check the information before submitting their application forms. Candidates who are in their final year of graduation are not eligible to appear for the exam. Candidates need to submit proper document against their educational qualification at the time of the interview. The date of passing the eligibility examination is the date appearing on the mark-sheet or provisional certificate issued by University/Institute.

How to fill IBPS Application Form 2024?

The steps to fill the application form for IBPS are given below:

Step 1: IBPS Registration

  • Visit the official website
  • Click the ‘New Registration' link
  • For IBPS registration, enter name, phone number, email id and security code
  • On successful registration, provisional registration number and password are generated. The same is also sent to the registered email ID and mobile number
  • Note down the provisional registration number and password
  • Data entered during registration cannot be changed

Step 2: Upload Scanned Documents

Candidates need to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per the format given below.

Step 3: Fill the Detailed IBPS Application Form

In this part, candidates need to enter basic details, educational qualifications & experience, and preferences.

  • Basic details comprise filling the category, nationality, personal details, select exam centres, date of birth, gender, father's name or mother's name, address, etc.
  • Post this, candidates must proceed towards filling educational qualifications, work experience, and languages
  • On the next page, candidates need to enter the preferences of banks

Step 4: Preview

Before the final submission of the IBPS application form, candidates must preview it and make the necessary changes, if any. After making the relevant changes, candidates must agree to the terms and conditions and submit the application.

Step 5: Fee payment

  • Fee payment can be paid using online payment gateways such as using Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets
  • An e-receipt will be generated after a successful fee payment
  • Take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form

While, filling IBPS Clerk application form, candidates need to upload their photographs, signatures, handwritten declarations, left thumb impressions, etc. The documents should be uploaded as per the dimensions specified by the examination authority. Candidates must upload the photograph and signature in the prescribed format while filling IBPS Clerk application form. The size of the photograph should be between 20 kb to 50 kb and its dimension should be between 200 x 230 pixels. The size of the signature should between 10kb to 20kb and dimension should be between 140 x 60 pixels. The signature should not be in capital letters. Q:   Can final year students apply for IBPS Clerk exam?

A:

Final-year students cannot apply for the IBPS Clerk Exam. Candidates need to have graduation mark sheet on the date of application. As per the notification, the minimum qualification require candidates to have a graduation degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Candidates between 20 and 28 Years can apply for the IBPS Clerk post. There are certain age relaxations given to candidates belonging to reserved categories. As per the official notification, Candidates belonging to some category are given age relaxation like SC/ST (predetermined caste/predetermined tribe) 5 years, OBC (another backward classes-non-cream tier) 3 years, Disabled (PwD) 10 years Former service staff, including Emergency Situation Officer (ECO)/Short Service Officer (SSCO).

Q:   In an IBPS Clerk which type of computer Certificate is necessary?

They participating banks do not look for any Computer Certificate. Only basic level questions are asked in the paper. Candidates need to prepare such questions. The banks provide training for basic skills after candidates get selected. But while filling form, candidates need to enter their knowledge of computer. MS office Certificate is enough to apply for IBPS Clerk exam. The eligibility criteria prescribed for IBPS Clerk exam is between 20 and 28 years. IBPS RRB eligibility criteria is prescribed by the examination authority separately for different posts. The basic educational qualification for IBPS RRB exam is graduation. However, the educational qualification vary post-wise. The post-wise age limit for IBPS RRB exam is given below:

For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years-Below 40 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1983 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- II (Manager): Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1991 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager): Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1993 and later than 31.05.2005 (both dates inclusive)
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.06.1995 and later than 01.06.2005 (both dates inclusive)

The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Q:   What is the educational qualification for IBPS Clerk?

A:

The educational qualification for IBPS Clerk is Graduation. Final year candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates must have an operating and working knowledge of computers. They must have either a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language or have studied Computer/Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute. Candidates must have proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/ UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply for is preferable. Candidates must meet the educational qualification fixed by the examination authority for appearing in the exam.

Normalisation is the standard method followed to calculate the marks of candidates where the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. This is done to adjust the variations in the difficulty level of the question paper. IBPS cut-off is calculated after normalizing the marks of candidates.

Yes, a CA Inter-qualified candidate can apply for various banking exams. Most of the bank exams allow candidates who have graduated or above from any recognised college/University. For most banking jobs, CA Inter completion is considered graduation.
