IBPS Cut Off 2024: The Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) releases the IBPS Cutoff for various exams-IBPS PO, Clerk, RRB and SO along with the scorecard. The section-wise, category-wise, and state-wise IBPS cut-off marks are released separately for different posts and stages of exams. To check IBPS cutoff 2024 for various exams, candidates need to enter their registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. IBPS cutoff is applied to the total marks and section-wise marks. Candidates securing equal to or more than the IBPS cut-off 2023 are declared qualified at each stage of selection. In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before/ above the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice. A candidate belonging to reserved category, selected on the basis of norms as applicable to General Category, will be treated at par with a General category candidate. Such own merit candidates belonging to reserved categories who are provisionally allotted under unreserved (General) category will not be adjusted against a reserved post. Q:   When will IBPS RRB cut off 2023 be released?

A:

IBPS RRB cut off is announced by IBPS for different stages of recruitment. IBPS RRB Clerk cut off is released for prelims and Mains exams whereas IBPS RRB PO cut off is released for prelims exam, Mains exam and final allotment. IBPS RRB cut off for Officers Scale II and III is released for single online exam and final allotment. IBPS RRB prelims cut off 2023 for PO and Clerk will be released in September. IBPS RRB mains/single online exam cut off for Officers Scale 1, 2 and 3 will be released in October. IBPS RRB final allotment cut off 2023 for all the posts will be released in January 2024. It is mandatory to secure the sectional as well as the overall cut off marks in the prelims and Mains exams. The cut off for the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. IBPS RRB cut off for the Mains exam is counted for provisional allotment for the post of Office Assistant/Clerk. IBPS RRB cut off for the Mains and interview is counted for provisional allotment for the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2 and 3. Minimum qualifying marks in interview is not less than 40 per cent (35 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates).

Q:   How is the cut-off of IBPS RRB calculated?

A:

IBPS RRB cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam. IBPS RRB cut off is applied on different sections and overall/total marks. IBPS RRB cut off for the prelims exam is calculated out of 80 marks. IBPS RRB Mains cut off is calculated out of 200 marks. The provisional allotment cut off is calculated out of 100 marks. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks are declared qualified in each stage of selection process. As the exam is conducted in different shifts, the cut off is calculated after normalising the marks of candidates. Normalisation of IBPS RRB cut off is done to maintain transparency in the examination process.

A total of 11 public sector banks participate in the recruitment process of IBPS Clerk. The list of participating banks is given below 1) Bank of Baroda 2)Canara Bank 3) Indian Overseas Bank 4) UCO Bank 5)Bank of India 6) Central Bank of India 7) Punjab National Bank 8)Union Bank of India 9) Bank of Maharashtra 10) Indian Bank 11) PSB The selection process of IBPS Clerk comprises prelims and mains exams. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the merit list. The marks obtained in the mains exam are counted for the merit list. The prelims and mains exams are conducted online. The selection process is carried out by IBPS. However, joining letters and verification of eligibility is done by the participating banks.

Q:   How is the provisional allotment through IBPS PO exam done?

A:
The provisional allotment is subject to the candidate fulfilling the criteria for Participating Banks and identity verification to the satisfaction of the allotted bank. This does not constitute an offer of employment. In case it is detected at any stage of the recruitment process that, the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria his/her candidature/ chance in the process shall stand cancelled. IBPS PO final allotment is done based on the performance in the Mains exam and interview. As the provisional allotment will be made to participating banks on merit cum preference basis, once the provisional allotment is made, no request for change shall be entertained. Any request for change shall result in cancellation of candidature.
