The Commission issued the IES 2024 notification on September 6 and the last date to apply online for the UPSC ESE (IES) 2024 is September 26.

The Commission will also provide the opportunity to change the IES 2024 application details once in the within a week after the closing of UPSC IES 2024 applications.

The candidate must be either:

1. A citizen of India.
2. A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
3. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
4. A person of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates falling under categories (2), (3), and (4) need to produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India at the time of final allotment

The IES 2024 admit card was released online on February 9, 2024. The Commission conducted the IES Prelims 2024 exam on February 18, 2024. The candidates were required to carry the same photo identity proof whose number was entered in the IES 2024 applications.

The difficulty level of IES questions has shown variations over time. In the IES exam, roughly 57% of the structural questions are categorized as easy, 29% as moderately difficult, and the remaining 14% as difficult. This distribution indicates a mix of question complexities in the exam. Comparatively, in GATE exams, around 45% of structural questions are easy, 22% are moderately difficult, and the remaining 33% are difficult.

Based on the exam's difficulty level, the IES 2024 prelims cutoff is expected to remain low based on the difficulty level of the question paper but based on the number of vacancies we can say that few candidates will be selected. So based on the vacancies, the cutoff is expected to remain hgh.

You cannot change your IES exam center once it has been allotted to you.
