KTET Notification 2024 (Out): Nov Notification PDF & Exam Date

The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan (KPB) released the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) application on November 11, 2024. The candidates can apply online for the KTET exam on the official website-ktet.kerala.gov.in. The last date to apply online for the KTET Nov 2024 exam is November 25, 2024. Candidates should submit their applications timely by visiting the official website of the exam.

• Child Development and Pedagogy

Category II

• Child Development and Pedagogy

• Language II- (Other than Language I) Malayalam/ English/ Hindi/ Arabic/ Urdu/ Sanskrit
• Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teachers) or Social Science (for Social Science teachers)

The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan (KPB) released the notification for the KTET Nov session on November 6, 2024. The notification was released as a PDF that comprised the details fio the KTET exam like exam schedule, eligibility criteria, syllabus and more. After you qualify the KTET exam, you are awarded the eligibility Certificate. KTET does not guarantee any job after the candidate qualifies the exam. Though, the candidates will become eligible for the recruitment exam after qualifying for the KTET exam. The recruitment exam for recruiting teachers in the school of Kerala. The candidates can apply for the different vacancies according to their eligibility. The Kerala Government releases the vacancies for the teachers according to the need of the state.

The syllabus for the KTET (Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam is revised and updated periodically by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan (KPB), but it does not change drastically every year. The syllabus is based on the topics covered in the primary and upper primary school curriculum, and it is designed to test the candidates' knowledge, understanding, and pedagogical skills related to the relevant subjects. The minimum qualifying marks for the KTET exam are as follows:

• For General and OBC candidates: 60 per cent marks (90 marks out of 150)
• For SC/ST candidates: 55 per cent marks (82 marks out of 150)

 Candidates who score equal to or more than the minimum qualifying marks are considered to have qualified the KTET exam. It is important to note that the qualifying marks are the minimum marks required to pass the exam and do not guarantee selection for a teaching job. Candidates who qualify the KTET exam are eligible to apply for teaching jobs in primary and upper primary schools in the state of Kerala, subject to fulfilling other eligibility criteria mentioned in the recruitment notification.

When filling out the KTET (Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test) application form, you may need to refer to certain documents to ensure that you provide accurate and complete information. Here are the documents that you should keep handy:

1. Aadhaar Card or any other government-issued photo ID proof
2. Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets

Educational Qualification: 

• Minimum educational qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Level): Degree with Minimum 50 per cent from a U.G.C. recognised university/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ freedom fighters will be given for 5 per cent in Degree & 02 years Diploma (D.Ed) from N.C.T.E/ Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). or Degree with 02 years B.T.C., C.T. (Nursery)/ Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) (02 years) from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognised university. or Degree with qualify in Special B.T.C. Training from a U.G.C. recognised university. or Degree with 02 years B.T.C. Urdu Special Training in Uttar Pradesh from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognised university. or 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
• Minimum educational qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Level): Degree with B.T.C. from a U.G.C. recognised university & National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) or Degree with 50 per cent from a U.G.C. recognised institution/ Degree (B.Ed)/ B.Ed Special Education from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). or Intermediate with 50 per cent & 4 years B.A/ B.S.C.Ed/ B.A.Ed from recognised by N.C.T.E. / U.G.C. or Intermediate with minimum 50 per cent & 4 years Bachelor’s degree in elementary education (B.El.Ed). or Degree with minimum 45 per cent from established by Law and U.G.C. recognised institution (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ freedom fighter candidates will be given for 5per cent) & B.Ed.
