MAH MCA CET 2025 exam pattern is now available online. Candidates can check the details regarding how the entrance examination will be conducted through the MAH MCA CET exam pattern 2025. The MAH MCA CET paper will have Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question will have 4 options with only one correct answer. Candidate have to select the correct answer from the available options.

Q:   How is MAH MCA CET conducted, online or offline?

A:

Maharashtra CET Cell conducts MAH MCA CET exam in online mode as a computer based test. MAH MCA CET exam is conducted for MCA admission. The exam is held across various test cities in India. The question paper has a total of 100 questions and the total duration of exam is 1.5 hours.

Q:   In how many languages MAH MCA CET exam will be conducted?

A:

Maharashtra CET Cell conducts MAH MCA CET only in English language. Candidates can attempt any question at any point of time within these 1.5 hours (90 minutes). All the questions will have multiple choices. Out of the four answers to a question only one will be the correct answer. You have to select the most appropriate answer and ‘mouse click’ that alternative which you feel is appropriate/correct. The alternative/ option that you have clicked on will be treated as your answer to that question. There is no negative marking System for this test. Unanswered questions will carry zero marks. Candidates are advised, not to mark answers by random guessing.

Q:   How many questions are asked in MAH MCA CET exam?

A:

The MAH MCA CET exam has a total of 100 questions from all four subjects. The exam has 30 questions each from Mathematics & statistics and Logical reasoning and 20 questions each from English language and Computer concepts. All the 100 questions are multiple choice questions. Students need to complete all the 100 questions in 1.5 hours.

Q:   Will there be any break in MAH MCA CET exam?

A:

The total duration of the MAH MCA CET exam will be 90 minutes, and the exam will be conducted continuously without any break. Candidates will be allowed to enter the exam hall as per the scheduled time and can leave only after the completion of the paper. The exam will have a total of 100 questions from sections: Mathematics & Statistics, Logical/ Abstract Reasoning, English comprehension & verbal ability and Computer Concepts. There will be no negative marking for this test. The medium of the exam will be English.

MAH MCA CET Exam Pattern 2025 - Division of Questions

Candidates can check the section-wise division of questions in the MAH MCA CET 2025 paper from the table given below. For every correct answer, the candidates will awarded 2 marks and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. The total mark for the exam is 200.

Q:   Do I need to attempt all the questions in MAH MCA CET exam?

A:

It is not compulsory to attempt all the question in exam. Students can attempt any number of questions out of total 100 questions in the exam. Students do not have internal choices. Students are advised to attempt only those questions for which they can arrive at the answer/solutions. Questions for which the answer is not sure should be left. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in MAH MCA CET that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.

Q:   Is there a negative marking in MAH MCA CET?

A:

MAH MCA CET paper has NO negative marking. In MAH MCA CET exam, questions in each subject is of different marks and for incorrect answer, no mark is deducted. Also, no marks are deducted for unattempt questions. For any question, if none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or dropped, then full marks will be awarded to all candidates irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

Q:   What is a good score in MAH MCA CET?

A:

Candidates seeking admission in a good college through MAH MCA CET should score at least 100-120 marks. There is no minimum passing mark or cutoff in MAH MCA CET and the admission is based on All India Rank. Candidates having scores above 120 can get admission in top government and aided colleges. Q:   What is the minimum passing marks of MAH MCA CET?

A:

The Maharashtra CET Cell do not release any minimum passing marks for MAH MCA CET. The basis of admission is merit list which is released by considering the marks obtained in MAH MCA CET and graduation. Candidates who appear in the exam are given percentile scores on the basis of marks scored. The percentile scores in MAH MCA CET and percentage in graduation is used to arrive at an All India Rank which will be used for admission at the institutes.

Q:   What is the syllabus of MAH MCA CET exam?

A:

The syllabus of MAH MCA CET exam consists of four subjects which are Computer concepts, English language, Mathematics & statistics and Logical reasoning. The topics included in Computer concepts is similar to what students study in their BCA/BSc IT or BTech computer Science subjects and thus this subject can be easily covered by studying the course books. The other three subjects will include questions from undergraduate level and thus can be covered by studying NCERT textbooks or any other book from the market like R.D. Sharma.

Question paper during the exam will be visible only in English. As there will be only one language of the MAH MCA CET question paper, candidates will not have the option to switch the language of question paper during the exam.
