NDA Application Form 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) activated the NDA 1 2025 application form correction window. NDA 1 2025 application form filling process closed on January 1, 2025. Earlier, the last date to fill the application form was December 31, 2024. However, the examination authority extended the window. The last date to pay the application fee through pay by cash mode was December 30, 2024. Candidates could pay the application fees online till January 1, 2025.

The application form of NDA 2 2025 will be released on May 28, 2025. The last date to fill the application form is June 17, 2025. NDA vacancies 2025 were released along with the notification. Read below for more details on NDA application form 2025.

Q:   When was NDA application form 2025 released?

A:

The official notification for NDA 1 2025 exam along with the application form was released on December 11, 2024. The last date to apply for the exam was extended till January 1, 2025. NDA 2 2025 exam will be conducted on September 14, 2025. NDA 2 2025 notification will be released on May 28, 2025. The application form will be available till June 17, 2025.  Candidates need to fill the application form online. The application fees can be paid both online and offline. The steps to fill NDA application form 2025 are given below.

  • Visit the official website of UPSC
  • Register online by filling the Part I of application
  • Login with the registration number to fill Part II of the application form
  • Fill all the details in Part II application form
  • Submit the fees and take printout of the application form

Q:   What is the criteria to give NDA exam?

A:
Hi, Eligibility Criteria to write NDA exam- (a) Nationality : A candidate must either be : i) a citizen of India, or ii) a subject of Bhutan, or iii) a subject of Nepal, or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India with the intention of permanently settling in India, or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal. (b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination. Candidates must not marry until they complete their full training. A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application, though successful will not be selected for training. A candidate who marries during training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the Government. (c) Educational Qualifications : For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply.

Q:   Who can apply for an NDA exam?

A:

NDA application form is released to select candidates for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy. Both male and female candidates can apply for the NDA exam. The eligibility criteria for the NDA exam is given below:

Age Limit: For NDA 1 exam, both male and female candidates must have been born not earlier than July 2, 2005 and not later than July 1, 2008. For NDA 2 exam, both male and female candidates must have been born not earlier than January 2, 2005, and not later than January 1, 2008.

If your have changed your Name, select "Yes" for "Have your ever changed Name" option while registering in OTR, then mention your Changed Name in the column "Changed Name".

Q:   I am facing issue in filling the date and address in NDA application form. What to do?

A:

Due to security reasons, some reserved words and special characters like (!, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, (, ), <, >? , /, ~, ', etc.) are not acceptable in the Name and Address fields of the Online System. Please retry after deleting special characters.

How to fill NDA Online Form 2025?

Pre-Requisites to Apply Online for NDA Exam

Applicants are required to fill in the details in the NDA application form. They need to fill in details such as name, educational qualification, communication address, NDA age limit, etc. Candidates need to enter the details carefully or else their application forms will be rejected. According to NDA eligibility 2025, the age limit of candidates should be between 16 and 19 years. Candidates who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 can apply for the exam. NDA 2025 exam dates were announced by UPSC. NDA 1 2025 exam will be conducted on April 13, 2025. NDA 2 2025 exam will be conducted on September 14, 2025. The documents that candidates need to upload are given below:

  • Scanned images of photograph and signature
  • Photo-identity card in PDF format (Aadhar Card / Voter Card/PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ School Photo ID/Any other photo ID Card issued by the State / Central Government)
  • Marksheet and admit card of Class 10 and 12

NDA One-Time Registration

One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory to fill NDA application form. Candidates need to register only once in life time and with the login ID and password they can apply for all UPSC exams. The portal is open all throughout the year. If candidates have already registered, they can proceed to fill the application form directly. In the OTR, candidates need to enter their name, gender, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, minority status, valid mobile number, board examination roll number and security questions. Candidates are also directed to verify the details of OTR. After OTR, candidates can vide their dashboard where they can check their personal details, apply for active notification, and check application submission status.

How to Apply for OTR?

  • Visit the official website of UPSC
  • Register through OTR portal by clicking ‘New Registration’ button
  • After registration, candidates have to login with the email ID/mobile number/OTR ID) to verify the already registered OTR application
  • Go to the ‘Latest Notification’ tab in the OTR application
  • Apply for desired exam

NDA Application Form 2025

NDA application form comprises two parts: Part I and II. The step-by-step guide for filling both the parts of the NDA application form is explained below:

NDA Form: Part 1

NDA apply online part I registration is divided into four pages: candidate’s registration, choosing the preferred branch, verifying details and generation of registration ID. Check below the steps to fill Part I of the NDA application form:

Page 1: Candidate’s Registration

Candidates are required to enter their personal details, address, and educational qualifications. In the personal details part, candidates had to fill up their name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar number, nationality, fee remission allowed, community, marital status, etc. There will be four options indicated by the drop-down menu to select education qualification. Candidates need to enter their complete address, email ID, and contact number.

Page 2: Choosing the branch preferences
  • Applicants are to choose their branches: Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy
  • Mark your preference in the order of one to four
  • Candidates are also required to enter whether they are students of sanik/military school or son of JCO/NCO/other rank officer?
  • Click ‘Continue’ to move to the next page

Page 3: Verify the details

Candidates are required to verify the details entered by them in the application form. No correction is allowed after the submission of the NDA form. After verifying the details, candidates are required to agree to the terms and conditions by clicking the required checkbox.

Page 4: Generation of registration ID

The system displays the registration ID. The page also shows other details such as name, father’s name, DOB, email id, etc. With this, the Part I registration is completed. The registration ID is also sent to the candidate’s registered email ID.

NDA Application Form 2024: Part II

In part II, candidates need to pay the application fees, select the exam centre, upload scanned images of photographs and signatures. The steps to fill the Part II of NDA application form are given below:

NDA Online Form Fee

The application fees for NDA exam can be paid both online and offline. The application fee is INR 100 for General/OBC candidates, whereas, the fee is exempted for SC/ST/Sons of JCOs, Women/NCOs, ORs. The application form is released along with the NDA notification. 

  • Applicants can pay their fee through cash/credit card/debit card or net banking
  • Those who opt for ‘Pay by Cash’ mode are required to take the printout of the system-generated Pay-in-slip during the Part-II registration. They are required to deposit the fee at the counter of SBI on the next working day
  • Candidates should note that the fees once paid are not refunded

NDA Application Form Correction Window

Candidates can make corrections in NDA application form except for the choice of centre. The window to make corrections in the application form is made available seven days after the application process is closed. In case a candidate wants to carry out any change in their OTR profile during this period, they should log into the OTR platform and make the necessary changes. In other words, no change in the OTR profile can be made by visiting the window for modification in the application form. The steps to make corrections in the NDA application form:

  • Visit the official website of UPSC
  • Click on the login window 
  • Candidates need to enter the required credentials
  • An OTP is sent to the applicants' registered email and mobile.
  • Make required changes in the NDA application form.
  • Download the corrected NDA application form

NDA age limit for both and female candidates is that candidates must have born not earlier than January 2, 2005 and not later than January 1, 2008. For admission to Army Wing of National Defence Academy, candidates must have passed Class 12/HSC or equivalent from a recognised board or university. For Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy of National Defence Academy, candidates must have passed Class 12/HSC with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates should be physical fit inorder to carry on the duties and responsibilities. 

NDA Exam Centres 2025

UPSC conducts NDA exam across various cities spread throughout the country in two shifts-forenoon and afternoon shifts. Candidates can enter their preferences of test cities while filling the NDA application form. NDA admit card is issued to all the registered candidates three weeks before the exam. The link to download the admit card is made available on the official website.
