What is NICL?

National Insurance Corporation Limited (NICL) is one of the most prestigious Insurance Company of India. Recruitment to NICL is carried out for various posts such as Accounts Apprentice, Administrative Officer (Officer in Scale I cadre), etc. However, recruitment to the Administrative Officer post is one of the most sought after recruitment as a large number of candidates apply for the exam. NICL Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria that candidates need to fulfil to be eligible for NICL recruitment is given below:

Educational Qualification:

Candidate must have completed graduation with at least 60% (55% for SC/ST)

Age Limit: The minimum age of candidates should be 21 years and maximum age should be 30 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PWD, Ex-servicemen.

NICL Salary 2020

The starting Basic pay would be Rs 32,795. The pay scale is Rs 32,795-1.610(14)-55,335-1,745(4)-62,315. Candidates are also entitled to allowances from time to time. Total emoluments will be approximately Rs 51,000 in Metropolitan cities.

NICL Selection Process 2020

The complete selection process of NICL is given below:

Step 1: Filling the application form

First, candidates need to fill NICL application form. The application process comprises registration, uploading photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form and fee payment. The payment can be made online by using Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets. The application fee is Rs 600 for General and Rs 100 for SC/ST/PWD.

Step 2: Downloading Admit Card

Candidates need to download the admit card online separately for Phase I, II and Interview. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. After downloading the admit card, candidates need to affix a passport-sized photograph on it and carry it along with one photo-identity proof.

Step 3: Appearing in the online tests

The online tests will be conducted in two stages, preliminary exam and mains exam. First, candidates need to appear in the preliminary exam. Candidates qualifying the preliminary exam will appear for the mains exam.

Step 4: Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted based on mains examination will be called for an Interview.

Step 5: NICL Result

The result will be declared on the official website. The result will be available in the form of merit list that contains the roll numbers of qualified candidates.

Step 6: Final Selection

The combined final score of candidates will be arrived based on the mains exam (objective and descriptive) and interview. The ratio of weightage given to mains exam and interview is 80:20.

NICL exam will be conducted across various venues in the country. The preliminary exam will be conducted in 33 districts while the mains exam will be conducted in 11 districts.
