NRA CET exam will be conducted in early 2022. The first ever exam of NRA CET was earlier slated to be held in September 2021, however it got delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. NRA CET notification is yet to be released. NRA CET exam will be conducted twice a year and the scores of the exam will be valid for three years. What is NRA CET exam?

National Recruitment Agency Common Eligibility Test will replace the screening paper of several exams conducted by SSC, RRB and IBPS. The agency will only conduct the prelims/Tier-II exam, however, the further stages of selection process will be carried out by the respective exam conducting agencies-SSC, RRB and IBPS. The exam will be conducted to shortlist candidates for various Group B and C non-technical and non-gazetted posts.

NRA CET Exam Highlights

  • NRA CET will replace the tier-1/prelims exam conducted to screen candidates in the exams conducted by SSC, IBPS, and RRB
  • On the basis of NRA CET score, the final selection will be done the respective examination agencies. The mains/tier II/tier III/interview will be conducted by SSC, RRB and IBPS.
  • NRA CET will be conducted online twice a year
  • There will be three separate online NRA CETs for different categories namely graduates, Class 12 and Class 10 candidates
  • The exam authority will release mock tests and a 24X7 helpline
  • Candidates will be able to schedule their test and choose exam centre of their own
  • NRA CET score will be valid for three years. The best available score of three years will be taken into consideration for selection to the further rounds
  • The scores of NRA CET will be shared with the central government, state government, private sector, Union Territories (UTs), Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for their recruitment

Educational qualification

The exam will be conducted at three levels-Class 10, 12 and Graduation. Hence, candidates who have passed Class 10, 12 and graduation are eligible to apply for different category exams

Age limit

It will be on the basis of the post for which candidates will apply. The relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to the reserved category candidates.

Number of attempts

There is no limit on the number of attempts. It will be subject to the upper age limit prescribed for the particular exam.

The exam will be conducted at over 1000 centres and every district will have one or more centres. The infrastructure of the exam will be create in about aspirational 117 districts. NRA CET 2021-22 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

NRA CET exam pattern and syllabus will be at par with the other competitive exams. The CET will be conducted in 12 major Indian Languages including English and Hindi. The question paper will contain objective type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) only. The syllabus and level of difficulty of the questions will be in line with the educational qualification of a candidate belonging to Class 10, Class 12, or Graduation, according to the level of the exam. A: NRA CET scores will be valid for three years. The best available scores of three years will be considered for selection to the further rounds. Each candidate will have two additional chances to improve their scores and the best scores will be taken into consideration. 

Q: In how many languages NRA CET exam will be conducted?

A: The NRA CET will be conducted in 12 languages that are in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India including English and Hindi.

Q: Is there any limit in the number of attempts in NRA CET?

A: There is no limit in the number of attempts in NRA CET. Candidates falling within the prescribed age limit can apply for the exam.
