OTET Application Form 2024, Registration (Out): Apply Online Link

All candidates willing to apply for OTET 2024 can fill the application form in online mode as per the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: OTET Registration 2024: Register on OTET exam portal

To start with, candidates need to visit the official website of BSE Odisha and click on the “Online Application for OTET 2024” link. On clicking the link, a new page will open on which candidates need to click on the “Click Here for New Registration” link. Thereafter, candidates need to enter details such as name, password, mobile number, and email ID and click on the “Submit” button. Thereafter, candidates will be successfully registered on the exam portal.

Step 2: Pay OTET Application Fee 2024

After successful registration, candidates need to log in to their accounts using their registered email ID and password. After successful account login, candidates need to enter a verification code that they will receive on their registered email ID and click on the “Verify” button. If the verification code is correct, candidates will be redirected to application payment page.

Note: On the application payment page a registration number will be displayed that candidates need to note for future reference.

Step 3: Fill OTET Application Form 2024

Once the application fee is successfully paid candidates need to wait for about 12 hours before they can start filling out the form. Details to be filled in OTET 2024 application form include:

• Personal information: This section includes filling details such as name, date of birth, caste, parents’ names, etc. This section also requires candidates to upload their photograph (file size should be upto 50 kb) and signature (file size should be upto 20 kb). Also, it is a must for candidates to enter the DU reference number that they will get from SBI at the time of application fee payment.

• Eligibility criteria: Next, candidates need to select their training status, paper opted for the exam, and language offered for MIL (Modern Indian Language) subject.

• Educational qualification: Here, candidates need to fill in their school and graduation education details such as the name of board/ university, marks scored, division/ grade, etc.

• Address: This section requires candidates to enter their complete permanent and correspondence address.

• Declaration: On the declaration page, entire data entered by the candidate will be displayed. Candidates need to check the information thoroughly and click on the “Yes Final Submit” button if the data is correct. In case any entered information is incorrect, candidates can go back to previous sections and edit. However, after the final submission of the form, no information can be edited.

After the final submission of the form, the OTET application process is completed.

Candidates need to pay the OTET exam fee online through debit card/ net banking or offline through SBI challan. The OTET application fee 2024 is as follows:

Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria to appear for the OTET 2024 exam. The OTET eligibility criteria 2024 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is mentioned below:

OTET Eligibility Criteria for Category-A (Paper 1)

Candidates fulfilling any one of the below-mentioned parameters meet OTET 2024 eligibility criteria for Category-A (Paper 1):

• Candidates should clear Class XII with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education (CT or DElEd).

• Candidates should clear Class XII with at least 45 per cent (40 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education, by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.

• Candidates should clear Class XII with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess a four-year diploma in BElEd.

• Candidates should clear Class XII with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess a two-year diploma in Special Education.

• Candidates should clear graduation in any stream. Also, candidates should possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education/ Special Education.

OTET Eligibility Criteria for Category-B (Paper 2)

Candidates fulfilling either of the below-mentioned parameters meet OTET 2024 eligibility criteria for Category-B (Paper 2):

• Candidates should clear graduation with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) marks. Also, candidates should pass a one-year course in Bachelor in Education (BEd).

• Candidates should clear graduation with at least 45 per cent (40 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) marks. Also, candidates should pass a one-year BEd course by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

• Candidates should clear graduation with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) marks. Also, candidates should pass a one-year course in BEd (Special Education).

• Candidates should clear Class XII with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should pass a four-year BA Ed/ BSc Ed course.

Note: All candidates meeting the eligibility criteria to apply under Category B (Paper 2) are not eligible to apply under Category A (Paper 1).

Also, all untrained candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ PwD category securing at least 45 per cent marks in Class XII/ graduation are also eligible to apply for the OTET 2024 exam. “This is only to provide better opportunities to SC, ST, and PH candidates and this does not give them any entitlement for engagement,” informs the official website.
